- Hey Guys! Welcome Back To The Channel, Today I Am Working On A Very Special Piece, Of Sports Truck History, The 1991 GMC SYCLONE. This Was A Single Year Production Truck, With Less Than 3000 Being Made And Was Able To Wipe The Floor With A Ferrari Testarossa, If That Ain't Impressive I Don't Know What Is. The GMC SYCLONE Was The Worlds Fastest Production Truck For Nearly A Decade, And Is Still One Of The Most Sought After, Iconic, Fastest, Pick Up Trucks Ever Made. With An AWD System Used From The Gmc Safari Van And A 4.3 Single Turbo Vortec V6 Engine, This Sucker Used Too Run The 1/4 Mile @13.9 Seconds And 0-60 4.9 Seconds, Which Are Still Very Impressive Numbers For A Pickup Truck. So Heres The Back Story On The Truck, It Was Sitting Since 2009, In A Old rundown shop in Puyallup WA, just collecting dust and left to die. until one Day The Owners Nephew Decided To Put It Online, And I Came Across It and purchased the truck, and promised them i would bring it back to its Original Glory, And After Weeks Worth Of Work, And Various $ Spent, I Finally Got This Thing Looking Just How It Should. So Make Sure You Stick Around For The Whole Video, Because This Was One Of My Best Transformations Yet!. So Sit Back Relax And Enjoy The Video.

Thank you for saving that truck and removing those stupid bed decals
i want to know who before him used pvc piping for the air intake plus the original part of that intake is missing
Hey Jamie, that goes double for me man.
Not only was the before and after REALLY satisfying to watch but the new wheel and tire package compliments it perfectly! 👍🏼
As I detailer, it’s always maddening when it rains immediately after the job. But the rain in this video gave it a nice touch.
Yep and people have tried to discredit me on a few videos saying I pick a rainy days for after shots because I don’t wanna show the true results. I live in WA state it rains here nearly every day in the winter !
Very impressive! My mind would have went right toward refinishing it with the condition it was in. Always forget what some wet sanding and compound will do. Amazing job on the entire thing. It looks showroom floor worthy
Amazing transformation, doesn’t even look like the same truck. Iconic hot rod from my childhood, I’m jealous!!
What a transformation! I remember these back in the day when new but had no idea the production numbers were so low. A guy local to me has one but rarely drives it. Shows, parades etc. This and a Grand National are in my wish list 😁
Legit street cars on RUclips have a GN restoration going on
Ditto bro, I have a guy near me with one. Small world with only 3k of them floating around heh. Seem more common then the typhoon.
Dude that turned out amazing ….especially with those rims ….a friend of mine has one of those pretty heavily modified but still street legal that runs 9 sec quarter mile times at Atco dragway
Nice job. Seeing the truck restored makes me remember why I wanted one back in the day.
The world needs a million more like you! Amazing job!! Thank u💪💪
Even a year later this transformation holds up incredibly. Such a stunning vehicle - I can remember when they were the hot ticket around here (GM Truck building community!). Your patience and diligence really paid off and as someone said below in the face of not having access to original wheels the choice you made was awesome -- a five spoke never goes wrong.
YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB! WHAT A WONDERFUL RESTORATION. NEVER DID UNDERSTAND WHY THE MOMO STEERING WHEELS WERE SO POPULAR BACK IN THE DAY. NEVER CARED FOR THEM AT ALL.
I love to see a truck come back to life. Beautiful work, sweet truck.
Excellent video, I love these restoration type details 👍🏼
Edit: And the wheels look amazing, great choice
Put z71 stickers on instead 😂
If not for the video, there's no way you could have convinced me this was the same truck from the barn, unbelievable makeover! Nice work man and the wheels definitely look like they belong on this truck.
I had an ‘88 S-15 - best vehicle I’ve ever owned - sound was fantastic!
Nice to see someone not completely promoting a product and using things that people can buy at a parts store or Walmart for that matter to actually detail the truck . I enjoy some of the other detailers videos but you do it the way I learned with a little bit of the new .
as a detailer and a multiple s10/Sonoma owner that truck is not in that bad of shape! I'm jealous that I didn't find this jem. Great job on the detail
Had a 91 Sonoma and took off all the decals. You did a great job on that Syclone!
I’d never heard of this truck until this video. That must have been outrageous back in the early 90’s! What a beautiful machine.
Almost bought one in 2003 with 30k miles that had been under water for 3 days flooded completely submerged but I turned it down a friend's uncle bought it and restored it frame up still has it and drives it weekly
I like the wheels since the stock set is pretty much unobtainable. The truck looks great. It is one of those examples of a collector vehicle that you could drive and enjoy since it is not low mileage and mint.
I’ve watched a couple other of your videos but haven’t subscribed until now. Wow!! What an amazing transformation!! What brand and size tire and rim combo are you using please??
One of the true factor sleepers that were made.
Wow, what a transformation !
Love the rims thay look like they should have come from the factory.
I have used Extang Tonno Tonic on my cover and it seems to last a couple of months.
Right off the bat, I love how you clean the engine, all the other car restoration channels I watch just clean the interior and body. So it looks clean but underneath its dirty and rusty. I think if you are going to put that time and energy into cleaning a car do the entire car! I will be watching more of your content because of that.
Great job dude. It was actually considered to be one fastest factory sleeper trucks ever built.
Great video. I love this generation of trucks. My first car was a 1993 S10 with Camaro rims and the longest clutch pedal ever produced by the car industry. I had one of those old school adapters that let you play your CD walkman on a cassette player. I loved that truck.
I have to say I'm very impressed with your detail skills you brought this truck back to life it looks good well done 🙂
Thanks 👍
I love that truck with those rims and the soft bed cover!
Never cared for these trucks but this video was impossible to look away from. Great work guys.
This is my dream truck. Amazing job on the detail. The work put in really shows in the final product.
Awesome find ! I’d love to find one . These trucks were so cool . It’s up there with the grand national ! Congrats!
Damn man did that truck right! Amazing what time, eye for detail and determination can do! So happy to see a gem like that shine again!
This truck made me a subscriber, that GMC went from a 3,500 truck to a Barrett Jackson 60k and up show piece! That is SICK with those rims!
CONGRULATIONS ON YOUR BARN FIND!!!! SHE CAME OUT SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!
Kinda crazy how much effort it takes to get that clean just because it was sitting neglected. Good work!
Just because you use a pickup truck to do pickup truck stuff doesn't mean that is being neglected. Amazing video by the way love the detail
Man this thing looks so badass. U did a great job!
Underneath all that nastiness is a beautiful ride .
Man, I had one of those. Had it for 10 years. I sold it because I had a kid going to college. I miss it, but I will find another one one-day.... Maybe👍
I remember these and the Typhoons from the 90's and actually knew someone with both. Very cool trucks. I did not know they were that quick.
I really wish you guys had a shop up in my neck of the woods. You guys are real craftsmen in your trade.
An amazing transformation, must have taken hours. Great job and the wheels finish it nicely.
Wasn't this the fastest production pick up in the 90's , ?? They don't make em like this anymore 👍👍
I still have the Car & Driver where they tested one of these vs a Ferrari.
@@PrivateUsername I live in the UK , but I'm a proper gear head , and I remember these being very special indeed , future classic muscle truck status , look after it brother 👊👊
I like your craftsmanship and the pride you put into your work. Great video!!
Sir I thought I was a good Detailer. Good job bro nice truck god bless
It's good to see these trucks get some love and attention. Early 90's trucks haven't been looked at highly much. But getting more attention.
watched the video several days ago, awesome video and superb outcome. then went to the mecum auto auction. 99% sure i saw it there. not sure what it sold for, but looked even better in person. great job and great video. thanks
Love what you did with this truck. I think it was a mistake not including the red badging on the side of the truck. It added so much character and was indicative of the style of the time.
Bad ass truck!!! I met a guy yrs ago that told me that his cyclone was faster off the line than his Lamborghini Countach.
One of my dream trucks. The Syclone is a beast!
Man, I miss my '92 S10. The Syclone, and the S10 Baja inspired me to buy it. It was a fun project, but I quickly learned that working on a project when you live in an apartment is more trouble than it's worth.
Man I love these more simplistic looks on older vehicles. Modern vehicles have too many curves for my taste
Love it..Much better without the decals..Looks BA! Excellent job!
What a beautiful barn find!!!!!!
didnt think i'd like the c4 wheels on it but damn it does make that truck pop a lot more
Came out amazing. Looks 1000x better
You have done an awesome job on that truck it looks 100% better than when you found it full of scratches and debri.
My dream truck. One day maybe. Looks AMAZING!!!!
That's clean, you can actually see underneath the vehicle.
You my friend are a PROFESSIONAL. When I was in high school kid had one of those it was maybe 3 yrs old.nice and fast
I almost bought one of these trucks New before I went into the Marine Corps. It's a cool little truck that would have been fun to own. I hope you enjoy it and get many more years of service from it. Nice job cleaning it up.
the deep polish, nice detail work along with the Vette wheels made that truck!
Dude its been a while man...that truck turns out incredible my brain just went 🤯😱....keep the rep up...one mans trash is another mans treasure...👊🏿
Love the Cyclone and the Typhoon! 2 of my dream trucks for sure!
What’s going on with the exhaust? Glad you saved it! You sure have a lot of energy and did a great job.
Pretty sure it's every guys dream truck. Looks great man. Can't afford one, want to clone one with an S10 and an astrovan
We need this in Jamaica 🇯🇲 asap what a truck this be so nice 😍
Nice save and all around beautiful truck, love it🔥
The truck looks amazing. Those Corvette rims are a nice touch.
Such a cool find. And you did an awesome job bringing it back to life!
You should have titled this video "How to add 15,000 dollars of value with a detail."😃
Nice to see this Unicorn gets its due attention and love like it deserves. Thank you for helping this Syclone.
What a transformation, awesome!
Bro this thing turned out amazing ❤much love
Doesn't even look like the same truck amazing job
Awesome work as always brother! I love all the deletes, no stickers makes it pop more and others will think that it’s just a regular GMC truck when it is the ultimate sleeper 👏🏼🔥
Nice looking Syclone, I just saw a baby blue Typhoon last summer that was sick!
Dang that thing came out so good! I’d love to have one of these and the c4 wheels look awesome. Very period correct
Looks amazing! Such an iconic minitruck. I love the old minitrucks. I still drive one and never have been without one
Amazing job. This truck to me is better to look at than a supercar. I love these things.
Very nice job BTW! Definitely a dream truck to own!
Fabulous and very enjoyable to watch. Massive amount of time put into this. Great advert for a business and just sooo nice to sit back and watch and someone was doing this for your car.
Awesome job. I think the syclone badges on the doors are oem although. The junk on the bed was not. I would have left the door callouts.
That was the best detail video I’ve seen. I want a lot of these detail videos and you hit a home run! From 253!
Try next time liquid laundry soap 32:1 will clean jus as well ! Gain, Tide jus as good !
I have a 92 typhoon body in great shape. Slightly modified so it needs the holley efi system to remedy some of the electrical gremlins and make it a dependable ride again. Plan to have all that done before summer.
All that nice work and you never even drv it.. c'mon man, let us go for a wee lil Rip.. let's see and hear the Acceleration ..Nice '92'er GMC Vortec V6 Syclone AWD. Love those Mini Trucks.
Congrats kiddo, you did an excellent job, beautiful beautiful truck
Amazing work. I have owed a typhoon and think they are some of the best looking trucks ever made.
Wow man what a beautiful truck I would love to have one of these and a buick grand national
Incredible!!!! Fastest vehicle in the world 0-60... in the rain.
I am conviced that every single barn has some rare sports vehicle in it.
Dude, from one Detailer to another. You killed this! It looks so good and the work paid off. Well done sir!
Well done!! Classic 90s truck, did an amazing job!! Wheels look killer in my opinion and I am not a big fan of chrome.
Always a good day when you upload man! I love this channel man.
That's a ton of work, but you did an amazing job with it!!
Broooooo that transformation though!!!
Dam that looks good. Those trucks were so cool when they first came out (and the Typhoon), so fast!
Banged it out. 😎👊🏻🔨
Awesome video!! Some chemical guys products are awesome but that silk shine isn’t my favorite just because it attracts a lot of dust and kinda oily 🤷🏻♂️
