Sacrificial? The dramatization makes this look like a crazy uncle trying to gain power over the throne by murdering his nephew, the rightful heir to the kingdom
nenabunena Real muscly. Like a farmer. Not creatine, steroids and bench press muscly. He was also a couple of years off the life expectancy of his time so he wouldnt look like a modern 29 year old.
I'm from the Philippines and I've seen some lean muscled type guys here who are carpenters, fishermen, etc. - they're not bulky like arnold but have a lean muscled physique. the guy on the video otoh is wiry thin & I've seen plenty of those to but we never descrive them as muscly. The life expectancy back then was short due to accidents, sickness/diseases, or war not because they were necessarily less healthy. hunter gatherers especially were usually in top physical condition & girls back then started their periods late around 18-19 unlike today where some even start at 9 years of age. so there are plenty of examples of people in todays world, not in frts world countries, who are farmers, fishermen, or who have to toil daily that you can use as examples of how life must've been for some people
As an Irishman who knows of our ancestral religious methods, of over two thousand years. Our ancestors used Stonehenge, and Hill Tops for Sacrifice in order to create alignment with the ancient gods, the god of light, the god of prosperity, and the god of peace. As with all ancient religions there is a blood sacrifice that must suffice the gods.
Stonehenge is a highly ritualized site - so the discovery of human remains there is seriously significant. bit.ly/1uiTrpo Find out what it all means tonight at 8 PM on Stonehenge Empire.
I’ve been to Stonehenge a few times now it’s really amazing. I don’t live very far away from it so it’s easy to visit. I highly recommend it. You feel a kind of presence there

I don't know alot about the Neolithic people of Britain but uhm, I'm pretty sure they would have had clothing more similar to the Inuits for y'know, when it was snowing, I doubt they walked about in loincloths with short tunics in the freezing snow.
Maybe he was a vicious warrior that was defending the territory and his entire tribe is wiped out and he went into the center of the stone henge because it is the most important venue of his tribe and make his final standoff against the enemy, maybe he fought for several hours of melee combat killing many of his foes and the enemy realizing they could not defeat him this way, they finally decided to kill him using bow and arrows.
“Sin is sin, evil is evil, slavery is slavery, whether the United States, Rome, or England” is a quote from the Mexican American war review, and I’m not as familiar with British history, but if England had slavery, like Rome it was likely maybe this was an ancient Englishman who met his fate for invading and enslaving the neighboring tribes and was killed as an example?
Its Cu Chullain when he was speared then tied himself to a rock and waited to die and as it happened a crow flew to his shoulder and the man who killed him went to check the body that still had the sword came down and chopped his hand off
Couldn't have been the druids because the way he died signifies it had to be for a different reason besides religious reasons. The druids didn't sacrifice people by shooting them with arrows. Also if the Stonehenge was a place the druids would occasionally make sacrifices at. Most likely there would not have been more than only one persons remains found in or around the Stonehenge area. Also one would have to look at what the druids sacrifices consisted of you cannot simply say it was a sacrifice with no evidence. I never heard of sacrifices carried out with arrows i would imagine the druids would have been much more gruesome.
Well, I would have to agree with you, however, your entire argument is wrong. The druids didn't actually conduct this sacrifice because they didn't exist yet; the earliest this man could have died was on the stone-age/bronze age border and the latest about 200 years after that, so it was another culture entirely. There have also been many other sets of remains found at Stonehenge. What the video said was there aren't any other bodies of this 'type', as in sacrificed like this. There are over 50 other sets of cremated remains found in the post-holes of the original stone formation, this includes men, women and children, so it is possible they were sacrificed or possibly not, we'll never know.
my 2 cents . He was a famous war chief and the druids who truly ran the isle at the time thought of him as a threat. They "got a vision" he needed to be sacrificed so they did. Ireland as almost always ben controled by religion .
Him: What would you call a music festival here? His buddies: Please don't... Him: STONEDHENGE! His buddies: ... Local druid: Well, we found our candidate for tuesday's sacrifice.
Harry Goodwin I mean...if resources are scarce and you still haven't perfected jewel crafting well of course you'll put weird shit on your hair. Hell, it could have been ass hair for all we know but feathers certainly look prettier
New Zealand Māori wore feathers in their hair as well.if this is legit than that's cool to know that ancient British tribes were similar to the rest of us!.
Why the heck did the Smithsonian obtain a plastic replica of a skeleton excavated from a ditch in Wiltshire? How many school shootings did they have in their twisted USA?
I wonder if he was someone important that was executed. A bit like how st edmund (king at the time) was caught then shot to death with close range arrows in east anglia
Stonehenge was built by Atlantians who enslaved Irish ancestors who built Stonehenge. The reason why they want to remove it is because of this connection. They used the Stone to watch the Stars for more Meteors, like the one which destroyed their Civilization 12,800 years ago.
The arrows that killed him at the burial site ? If not would suggest a warrior who died in battle being buried in honour not a sacrifice just a thought
Celts is a massive grouping of different cultures united under a similar language effectively (really simple definition) Britons were Celts, Picts/Scots we’re Celts ect. So in short Celts aren’t one people, they just have similar cultures and languages.
She’s says we think of that time period as being brutish, and that it wasn’t. But goes on to tell us he was used for sacrifice and was shot repeatedly with arrows.
W3lsh DragonX7X Sorry - I should have said, "Joking!" I mentioned Native Americans due to a vague similarity between the shaman's headdress & a Native American headdress.
I wouldve already have been dead from hypothermia
yea well he shouldn't have been ramming the shaman's daughter.
He regrets nothing
Sacrificial? The dramatization makes this look like a crazy uncle trying to gain power over the throne by murdering his nephew, the rightful heir to the kingdom
Alejandra Barrera sounds like Shakespear
You've been watching too much game of thrones, haven't you?
He most definitely would not be the first :-/
Sounds like Hamlett
That's the last kingdom plot
its freezing outside and they dont wear almost anything
well he's gonna die anyway
he know the wae, he shall never freeze
"We don't know the Exact reason of the sacrifice ''
Here you go I saved your 4.01 minutes of your life!
Does make me laugh how they depict southern England like Iceland or something
flashmanfred Iceland has fine weather.
flashmanfred Ancient Southern England was cold.
flashmanfred and ppl running around half naked in the snow...
that was probably just a temporary snow the sacrifice could have been made to get it away
flashmanfred it was very snowy just a couple weeks ago
Did they use skyrim arrow sounds?
Grandma's Cheeks sounds like it
@@Aron-ru5zk they did
No
Spend 10 years of your life studying a skeleton just so you can find out how he died and say “that’s neat”
You learn a lot along the way that can be applied to other further work.
I love how the skull is just lookin right at the camera. if he could talk, he'd probably be saying "hi mum!!"
would he have an accent?
the 29 year old who was muscly looked like a scrawny 50 year old
He was probably imprisoned before.
nenabunena Real muscly. Like a farmer. Not creatine, steroids and bench press muscly. He was also a couple of years off the life expectancy of his time so he wouldnt look like a modern 29 year old.

Yo why the fuck are you starting your paragraph with ''I'm from the Philippines'' .. Who the fuck cares if you're from the Philippines?
Or he was the last defender,a warrior who the enemy would have respected and honoured.
He would have had more damage to his skeleton

Uncover the secrets of the ancient site, tonight at 8 PM on Stonehenge Empire.
Damn that cinematography
When is the full video going to be shown?
guessing he betrayed his tribe or let them down some how which was why he was executed in theory?
How about you prove that it wasn't battle and that he never could have been an important person who they buried there
Burnt Feridgerator Exactly what I was thinking. Bow seems an unlikely method of execution for anything.
It's England for god sakes they would use swords or axes
I don't know alot about the Neolithic people of Britain but uhm, I'm pretty sure they would have had clothing more similar to the Inuits for y'know, when it was snowing, I doubt they walked about in loincloths with short tunics in the freezing snow.
To create the Wights, well of course.
Ash Dement what
Mohammad Ashkanani game of thrones , undead being creature.
Was searching for this :D

I love the sound of the drumbeats in the beginning
Could this be a sacrifice for a Druid ritual?
Nope, too early, they didn't exist at this point
but could it be as a payment for a pizza delivery order ?
Reminds me of Whitewalkers. Very informative
So realistic I feel like it happened in front of my eyes
King Gamer23 Thanks.....I haven’t literally “laughed out loud” for a while now 😆
he could've been a voluntary sacrifice so that the crops the following year would be bountiful

perhaps he had secret knowladge about stonehenge that had to die with him or it was a sacrafice to make stonehenge work.
Why does my guy have such good teeth tho...
No sugar
British Stone Ages Family drama. Damn, poor young man.
his teeth are in excellent condition
Better than mine
-you guys wanna put some clothes on?-

Coral Castle n Key West was a man's "Devotion of Love"
my 2 cents . He was a famous war chief and the druids who truly ran the isle at the time thought of him as a threat. They "got a vision" he needed to be sacrificed so they did. Ireland as almost always ben controled by religion .
Or he was a warrior that got killed in battle, and was buried near stonehenge due to his valiant death
Him: What would you call a music festival here?
His buddies: Please don't...
Him: STONEDHENGE!
His buddies: ...
Local druid: Well, we found our candidate for tuesday's sacrifice.
the animation is impeccable
OH WAIT LOL THEY WERE ACTING ??
That’s live action
Seems like an unusual method of sacrifice for sure
I don't know what's up with all the feathers on that chief 'priest' or whatever he is... Seems like it's based on Native Americans!
Harry Goodwin I mean...if resources are scarce and you still haven't perfected jewel crafting well of course you'll put weird shit on your hair. Hell, it could have been ass hair for all we know but feathers certainly look prettier

Harry Goodwin god your stupid
New Zealand Māori wore feathers in their hair as well.if this is legit than that's cool to know that ancient British tribes were similar to the rest of us!.
This is a very nice skeleton very good condition.
Skeleton: Poggers m8
So, the answer to the (seemingly rhetorical) question in the title is "scientific speculation" and _"We may never know?!"_
Hey Grogg, thanks for guiding that henge into the hole! Grogg? Grogg, you there?
THE ANIMATIONS ARE SO GUD
In a snowstorm? And they know this how? Lol
Its very disrespectful to remove bones from a burial site, ancient or modern...
Why the heck did the Smithsonian obtain a plastic replica of a skeleton excavated from a ditch in Wiltshire? How many school shootings did they have in their twisted USA?
seems much more likely to have been an execution given sacrificial rituals would have produced more than one such example. click bait
I wonder if he was someone important that was executed. A bit like how st edmund (king at the time) was caught then shot to death with close range arrows in east anglia
“It’s brighter here!”
Also.. Did it appear to anyone else that the skull was fractured from the nose inward? Overkill.
Bruh I can’t even withstand the extreme cold temperatures
How is that clear proof? Nice docu anyway
Yeah I mean it's not like they might of just buried him there after he was killed by a rival group. That would be to outlandish.
Stonehenge was built by Atlantians who enslaved Irish ancestors who built Stonehenge.
The reason why they want to remove it is because of this connection.
They used the Stone to watch the Stars for more Meteors, like the one which destroyed their Civilization 12,800 years ago.
Wait Stonehenge is in the Arctic?!
wow the first death by firing squid ? .
Last one alive in search a d destroy, no ammo, might as well give urself up.
They must of been cold 🥶
This was Continental's method of execution
His teeth seems to look well for his age and era.
The arrows that killed him at the burial site ?
If not would suggest a warrior who died in battle being buried in honour not a sacrifice just a thought
It coming from all sides would be unlikely if it was from a battle, since just a single one would have killed him
@@willfakaroni5808 last man standing perhaps like an honour
@@fionaowen5164 at that point, it would count as a sacrifice
Feathers?
It could be just a tomb where he was buried and he might be a king of some sort and the arrows were result of a execution
Do you mean Stonehenge itself?
Where's the Roman in this one?
Sacrifices are normally linked with paganism, especially if it's England, the man who touches the sacrifice was probably a druid
sophie hare druids didn't exist yet, stonehenge wasn't used by Celts
If only it could be known what languages these people would've spoken. Also did prehistoric people have concepts of crime?
Looks cold
Well the exact reason for the Stonehenge is also unknown, so...
He was an outsider?
are they celts?
Nikos Elizondo no older
Celts is a massive grouping of different cultures united under a similar language effectively (really simple definition) Britons were Celts, Picts/Scots we’re Celts ect. So in short Celts aren’t one people, they just have similar cultures and languages.
didn't even show impact? disappointing
It's The Doctor!
what if he was the builder of the stone henge
So thats why he was muscular. He carried thousands of tons of stone from whales. Now it all make sense.
I'm robust, muscular and 5'10.
OMG!😟
We don't know for sure he was sacrificed. He was buried there.
They were trying to create White Walkers.
Or he was a common criminal executed in a court of sorts. 🤔
That's how.. Not why.
Game of Arrows
I'm guessing that it was a public execution
Doesn't feel like a sacrifice. I think this young man may have been doing his own ritual or ceremony at this sacred site & was ambushed by foreigners.
why using arrow, they could just poision him...lol
A lot of speculation
he looks like a white walker
human sacrifices are done in desperation maybe they were starving to death and demanded good crops or maybe rain
Poor man rip
Are you into discriminating the deaf your CLOSE CAPTION ISN'T ON
Ancient firing squad...
She’s says we think of that time period as being brutish, and that it wasn’t. But goes on to tell us he was used for sacrifice and was shot repeatedly with arrows.
Mordred
They should have written something bout why theyr doin this :3 ya know wat im sayin?
He died for his gods
A L I E N S
Its political cuop. They may have over thrown an heir to rule or a young ruler. As he was burried respectfully and killed with ceromony. Speculativly.
How did a Native American shaman get all the way over to Britain during the late Stone Age?
He was a Briton not a Native American.
W3lsh DragonX7X Sorry - I should have said, "Joking!" I mentioned Native Americans due to a vague similarity between the shaman's headdress & a Native American headdress.
Maybe he was just killed and robbed.
Fuckin metal
