Not only was it cool to see the plants' transformation, but it was cool seeing all of your hair transformations. Lol... I have to say your hair now is beautiful!!!
Love seeing the progress!! 🤩🥹 Especially on those gorgeous Hoyas 😍 I'm starting to see that in my own collection and it's so lovely to see what has flourished under my care (or despite my care lol)
Loooove this type of video! Keep ‘em coming. And if you have more plants you’ve been hanging onto despite setbacks or minimal growth I think you should include those too. Was interesting to see the comparison of your Thai constellation vs all the superstar growers.
@@wildfern ooo it looks fresh, it blends well with your natural. I dyed my hair copper after growing out my natural and you make me wish I had my natural + blonde again! Less upkeep but I do love the copper too lol

What I love about this video, apart from your glorious plants with incredible past and present footage, is your heartfelt descriptions and stories about each one. This video really captures your love and passion for your plants 🤗
Hi! I think the difference between Krimson Queen and Krimson Princess is that Krimson Queen has the white variagation on the outside and Krimson Princess has the white on the inside of the leaves! 🌱
It’s crazy watching the old clips. I remember watching them when a lot of them first got uploaded. I adore you & appreciate you taking us along with you on your plant journey! 💗
Every time I watch your videos you inspire me to do plant chores I have been putting off. 😁 Thanks to this one I got excited about planting some Monstera Deliciosa cuttings back into the pot with the Mom. They have been sitting in the water for a while. Big job but I’m so happy I did it now. Thanks. Your plants are gorgeous! 🌱💚🌱
Something my 2019 self would have never thought: OMG my favorite RUclipsr and I have the same deodorant 😂😂😂 (I really wasn't into plants or RUclips pre-lockdown)
OMG your hoya compacta is so much larger than mine. Of course you've had yours longer. Mine's finally starting to put on enough length to hang over the edge of it's pot. I still have p. tortum on my wishlist. I love how this video shows what patience can do, since most of my plants are tiny still.
Would love to see more videos like this, it was great! So fun to see how they´ve grown. I resently got a one leaf splendid cutting, can´t wait to see it mature, hopefully as beautifully as yours!
I remember seeing the compacta when you first got it, can't believe how much it grew 😍 Also that lip colour was MADE FOR YOU what the hell it looks so good 😭
This video was like so encouraging to me because I've only been in this hobby for a year almost 2 and haven't had a bunch of growth but some... So realizing that it just takes time and that you don't always see how much your plants have grown until you look back, So again its just really encouraging. All of your plants look amazing!!
I don't know how true this is, but I've been told that Hoyas will bloom when they're pop bound. So if you do repot and refresh the soil on the tricolor depending on your roots aim for a smaller pot if you can. I had a huge KP and I just divided it and put into 3 smallish pots and it seems happier. I also took 2 publicalyx and stuck them both in the same pot so it's quite tight and it started throwing peduncles. Love you, love your videos. Keep em coming. 🌿🪴
Imagine if my plants would have grown as huge as those in years, rip space😅 I only started last year & my golden pothos & Hoya princess crimson are getting bigger and lush started with 1 short vine and propa. Nice video, hope to see more of this😊
Ooo! It’s me 19:26 🤭 I love my Linearis too! The blooms are so sweet 😍 I spray mine with orchid mist to encourage the blooms and they usually come out late summer/autumn time! 🥰
Great video- love seeing the progress, so satisfying and inspiring. It's probably quite a lot of work to dig up old footage and edit it together - so thanks a lot! ❤ I wouldn't mind seeing more videos like this😊
I have a couple questions after watching a few of your videos. 1. Do you put your perlite prop boxes on a heat mat ? My second question has to be what fertilizer would you recommend? All of your plants just seem to be thriving, living their best lives 😢❤😊
I don't think she used a heat mat for her prop boxes, but I do know she has used a variety of fertilizers over time, including Osmocote. Hopefully she'll see this and answer better for you!
Love this video! Loved seeing the growth. And am so surprised how small some of them started and how large and nicely mature they are now! Especially the splendid! 😍
Came back to watch again while doing planty things at home and OMG! I bought a Mathilde bc of how cute yours was! I just checked mine and she has 4 peduncles 🥹 hopefully we both get some blooms! 🤞🏽
This is honestly inspiring. My plants would not have nearly the growth that yours do because I underwater and underfertilize 🤦♀ So this is encouraging to see what my plants could do if they had more ideal care haha
Love your hoya growth! My compacta has done zippo! But my bella has 7! peduncles and its already bloomed once.. At least I have 1 out of 14 of my hoyas shows me some love and that its actually alive 😉thanks for this update video.. love it! Kisses to Olive 💚🌿🐶
Okay the Thai may not be 4 years huge but Omg you holding it today and then showing the footage from years ago 🥹🥹🥹 give yourself & the Thai some credit babe! She looks absolutely stunning and has grown SO MUCH 😍🥰💚
I love this video!! I've been watching for awhile now and I was still shocked to see the comparisons!!! Love your content fern! So much that I'm making sure I'm going back and catching all I've missed over the last month cause I just moved and life's been so busy!
I LOVE your Matilde! It looks a lot like my hoya eskimo. I would call your philodendron tortum "spiney" or "airy". Maybe those adjectives are a good description. The asparagus fern is definitely "wispy"! 😊 I always enjoy your videos! Keep be-leafing!
I been watching your channel for years. It so amazing see your plant collection mature. I was so happy to see your Philo Billie as i just got one. I can't wait for mine to be that handsome oneday. Your Tortum and lineras are goals. Your hair is so pretty right now.
Love the your beautiful babies. Very informative vid. Next time can you include your watering routine for each plant and lighting. It would be nice to see where in your home you have them so I can have an idea how much natural light or grow lights is required. Thanks
With your two green thumbs I KNOW you will have that hoya krimson queen/tri color literally forever. Even future possible kids, grandkids, and beyond might even have it and they will treasure that plant. I have my great grandmothers heirloom hoya carnosa and she passed in 1964. We're not sure how long she had it before her passing. It's nearly 60 years old at least and to anyone's knowledge it has never bloomed lol.
What a fun video concept! I think one of the fall 2020 unboxing videos was the first one I ever saw, and how I found your channel, although I didn't watch houseplant content consistently for a while yet. I'd love to see more of these! Also, your hair and makeup today are awesome!
OMG when you showed the footage of your propagating Hoya Matilde it blew my mind! How simple of a solution to not having the propagations fall out of the vessel by just having only a little bit of water on the bottom! Thanks for the tip 😅😂
I love all of these! Your compacta 😍 I learned so much from your Thai videos... When I finally got mine, I put it in a self watering pot cause I'm a chronic under waterer and knew I'd have issues. And it's doing SO good. Thank you!
It's so amazing to see how far all those plants have come in just a few short years. They all look so fabulous! You've done a great job raising your plants. By the way your hair is looking absolutely gorgeous. Hope you're having a great day and week. Much love to you and Lil Miss Olive.❤
I just recently got a Mathilde and Splendid cutting! The Mathilde is 2 nodes and already rooting in water. The Splendid was 2 leaves one node but one leaf went full yellow and dropped, the other leaf has a little yellow on the edges but stuck and it's growing a new leaf but has no roots yet (water prop). I was just reminded of the hack where you add a pothos cutting to speed up rooting so I just did that yesterday. Wish me luck! I hope mine will get big and beautiful like yours! It is more fun and rewarding to grow plants from babies in my opinion.
i got about 10 cm of cutting of Mathilde last year for fairly cheap in 2022 ive had it less than a year and it bloomed twice xDD its the most insane plant i've owned LOL
Fern I love your videos and I’ve recently got back into plants and you’ve inspired me to get more and love the info you give. Thank you and keep it up. I can’t wait to get more plants 😊
You do such a good job with your plants!! I have every single one of the plants you showed and none of them are remotely as big! My oldest plant is my Thai con and it’s about as big as yours. Got it in 2019!
I love the way your hoya compacta grew! Mine is such a slow grower, and it has enough light. Do you fertilize your hoya? I also have a hoya Mathilde growing from a cutting, but it had only two leaves and it's been soooo slow... so maybe I'd recommend starting from a vine like yours, not just one or two nodes. Now I need to dig up all my old plant photos too, to sve how much they've grown 😃
Just commenting on your dragon scale - I was one of the people who have probably commented about the colour being very black, and I held off on buying this plant FOREVER and only got it a few months back, and I bought a decent sized one, and it's black! Like yours and I love it. However I'm firmly sure that it's light based. I grow my plants in high light and my DS is definitely greener under high light. I think lower light is the key to getting these to look like yours. Although as you say yours was in cabinet conditions for a long time so maybe that puts paid to my theory. Who knows!
I watched this yesterday and absolutely loved it. Amazing on so much growth. My Mathide is very slow growing but this video gives me hope❤😂. Please do more of this kind of possible.
