At first I thought it was going to be a unique place when you were describing her but then it turned out to the the usual white aesthetic, plants, Scandinavian vibes mixed in with some expensive pieces.
I love these videos but i think you should add in more people who are either born here or who have more of a "realistic" apartments, for most of us here, we unfortunately cant afford a $4,000 apartment, I would like to see how others make cute homes with less income.
Like the DeMaio family on Front Street by Adams Street. They have been living there way before the 1980s. And even I go back to that time. But there was nothing around here but factories that made clothes. I live a few blocks from Lale but I sure don't pay the rent she does. The major issue for me now is the subway at York Street it goes below the East River so it's very deep. But it has no elevator. Some of the people in DUMBO called in the news media to complain. So maybe in my lifetime we might get an elevator. Discussed in the video: ruclips.net/video/zAgqJMyY-oQ/видео.html
This is such a great series but it would be great if you featured some more affordable apartments! Most of these are completely unrealistic for the average person.
Unfortunately, it seems to me that living in nyc is unrealistic for the average person. It has increasingly become a playground for the upper classes (by design) and neighborhoods like DUMBO have become extensions of Manhattan.
One thing that’s unique to NYC apartments are funky layouts, cool exposed textures/hardware, and converted/multi use buildings. It’d be great to see more of that funky NYC character featured in this series!
Yes impressive. And mad respect to people chased through the years, so vloggers and fashion designers can live between them and showcasing their amazing apartment with a rent equivalent of two to three months salary in a western average country.
You should visit Victorian homes (: or like outskirts of everything 🤔 but super sweet I love that you go to diff spots im nosy I like seeing how people express themselves where they live ♡
I'm born and raised in nyc...my apt is a co-op and my carrying charge is 1065 dollars, 2 bedroom including gas and electric. There is a 5 year waiting list.alot of the buildings are renovated factories and the owners are foreign investors, that's why the rents are so high. Born here new Yorkers would not pay that much we would just buy a house. Smh
I truly love these kinda video's! I know, I'm a creep, hehe, but I just love seeing how people live!! And how they decorate their space because it always looks so cozy and it says so much about someone's personality! Am I the only one?
When I think about Dumbo, I think about how it was absurdly portrayed as 'affordable' on Gossip Girl cuz the Humphrey's lived there.... it's insane what ppl will pay for shelter, a human right. It's literally an old industrial building, and you're paying out the nose.
I love watching this series and I was very happy to see that a Turkish girl made her dreams come true 🥰 Gurur duydum Lale ve evine bayıldım, eğer yorumlarda bu mesajı görürsen seni desteklediğimi bil ❤️ Musmutlu zamanlar geçirirsin umarım evinde ✨
I LOVE her eye for design! I stumbled across her youtube channel during the pandemic and I'm so glad you featured her, Elena! Lale is aesthetic goals and so lovely.
HOLY COW!!! I know this NYC and this apartment is gorgeous. Huge windows, tall ceilings, and nicely renovated but $4,000 and youre not even in Manhattan?
@@zukihoney135 yeah looks really nice but I guess for me I could never do it. If im paying that much, id need to be RIGHT next to work as well. Given that id only move to NYC to work on Wall St, itd never work haha.
What I like the most about your interior decor project is that, judging by the video, it looks and feels as cozy and pleasant as an environment of these characteristics and dimensions can be. Details like the plants, the lighting (which is a major detail) and the selection of furniture give it all the spirit and balance. I'm currently trying to reform the MCM style of my living room. We ordered a Togo sofa from Manhattan Home Design and are trying to add more details to make it all look more cohesive. Thanks for such a nice tour!
Thank you for posting! I believe this woman had filmed another apt tour with a different channel and I've been looking for it for months! I saw the thumbnail and I was like "that's it!" It's my inspiration apt. I love the cozy, post-modern, loft boho vibe. Or maybe it's the same video..? Not sure, but I do know not many people can afford 4k a month. That's crazy insane.
I don't understand the crazy rent in NY and how people are really believing that's normal... but her apartment is beautiful and love her use of the small space..
Oooooooooooh, you would be upset if you saw what I pay $550/month for in a Bangkok. Did I mention it was located in a very expensive and desirable neighborhood close to EVERYTHING you will ever need? I love my city but y’all need to stop wasting your money unless you got it like that. The cost of living in other countries are affordable. I know some people in my building pay $2,000 and others paying $2,000. We have every single amenity (pools, saunas, steam rooms, gym, library, co-working space, conference room, movie theater, 360 rooftop, bbq deck, outdoors gardens, 4 cabanas, free shuttle bus, on-site laundry, housekeeping, and access to a boat, taxi, motorbike, bus,and skytrain within 2 mins outside the condo. Our decor is gorgeous and it’s one of the most “Instagramable” condos in the city. We had to install face scanners because people kept coming to our condo like this shit was a hotel for photo ops. We have commercial shoots here but they pay for the space.
i got the privilage to meet a friend on facebook from turkey, very nice person. he told me there was a lot of palm trees there. when he said that it made me think of the bible book of solomon, there is described two palm trees and the romance of the book of the song of solomon. and one time i got to looking on ebay and found some turkish rings great big rings with stones and these were made of brass and silver it made me think of a very flamboyant place and showing love and caring with such great big rings. i remember watching movies with sultans wearing big rings like that. tells something about turkey and the people that live there.
As much as I love this format I also think you should ve picked someone else since her apartment was already the subject of another video from one of Ryan Serhant’s channel
I filmed this before that was episode was out. I wasn't informed that it had already been filmed and was going to be released by someone else until I had already filmed this whole tour, it's part of the reason why I waited so many months to finally post mine.
Lol @ $4k. As long as ya’ll maintain the hype of this city, the prices will stay up. Funny bc Dumbo used to be “no man’s land.” And also, her “family’s business” is probably writing this off as a “business expense.”
I love her couch, it looks really comfy. Does anyone have an idea of the price? I probably won't be able to afford it before a long time lol but maybe one day!
It is insane to spend that amount of money every month on just rent. Imagine if you could invest those instead. Isnt there a possibility to buy and own something in NYC? Would def be much more worth it in the long run and also an investment
Darn she's using you channel to signal boost her new gig as an interior design "consultant." You've been doing these apartment tours for years. Plus you have some very well heeled friend group whose parents have empicable taste when it comes to interior design and all things aesthetic. I know you want to be a writer, but women can have multiple facets of various projects. Have you ever considered being an "interior design consultant?" BTW check out AD tour of Cara Delevingne's new house. I would love to describe it, but it's something that you have to bear witness yourself.

Yes! This would be the best.
Yes please make more affordable options
She wouldn’t do this. It doesn’t fit the aesthetic they try to sell
Yes please!!!

Really good point! I love these videos but it would be interesting to see more affordable places too, even in NYC

You are absolutely right!!

Paying that much for a 1 bedroom is criminal
For real
$4k a month?? mad respect to her for making that dough lol

I mean she definitely comes from money her parents own a fashion company
@@debrafirestone861 not like you can even afford cuz ur poor
That is the market rate for a 1-bedroom in this neighborhood - it is not considered an outrageous amount.
@@MTMF.london no not if ur from another country cause u don’t know any better🤣
Elena, love the series, but I'd love to see more realistic and affordable options other than just influencers
I'm so glad you went back and re-filmed to get this video. It's one of my faves on your channel. Those windows... to die for!!!
Love this format soo much!! Your editing is BEAUTIFUL btw
Elena I love this series but can you please make more affordable options
Affordable options wouldn't be an entertaining because the places would be dumps. People like clicking on nice things, not dumps.
these videos give me so much inspiration yet are so calming to watch at the same time! thank u for taking the time to make these🥰
giving architectural digest a run for its money with this series! would love to see smaller apts as well

her place is nice but its SO trendy- hard to imagine she will love all those pieces in a few years.
It is not "trendy" - this pseudo Scandinavian/Mid-century Modern look has been going on for more than a decade now.
trendy boring
