The way my jaw dropped at Alby’s work setup and then my whole face dropped at the flashback to his previous setup…but as they say, one person’s worst nightmare is another person’s inner peace sooo…do your thing alby 🫡

I keep my desk setup alongside my tv as well for convenience. This was an inspirational video for a guy like me. I like looking at different living room setups because they give me new ideas. Overall nice video & i subscribed.
As someone who works from home, I appreciate a realistic home office setup! You made it work lovely. I am always confused to see designer tables/chairs from influencers, because you can't work more than an hour with those....
This is insanely expensive for a 1 bedroom but north Brooklyn is basically Manhattan lite in terms of price now. My wife and I are paying $3850 in south Brooklyn for 2nd/3rd floors of a house, got 3 bedrooms/bath, parking spot, large living area/dining area, etc. Commute is around 45 min to Midtown but we work from home most of the week anyway.
reading the comments about the price, being from new jersey, is eye opening. like i know prices by are are INSANE for tiny places, but it really just puts it even more into perspective. Also i have that same studio ghibli cup from the stor ein edgewater xD that store is so overpriced but amazing

@@luvpinkhellokitty this was our “moving out” tour 😭 I always do my apartment tours once I leave to avoid giving too many details about where I live (especially with big windows/rooftops). We just got back to CA this week!

Lol mansion in Texas comment - I mean maybe depending on a down payment. My mortgage on an older house on the edge of Austin is nearly as much as your rent. Def no mansion. And just a random idea popped into my head seeing your medicine cabinet - maybe a sticky hook inside to hang your brush so it’s vertical
Oh yeah I hear Austin is getting expensive! Everywhere seems rough nowadays siighhhhh. The hook would've been nice but the interior shelving in the cabinet is flush with the cabinet door. I think it may have worked nicely on the door under the sink though!
@@Smithpolly It’s been a bit since I watched 3/4 of the video. I got a bit frustrated after the detailed list of tchotchkes. I didn’t give her enough credit or her audience or the fact that some people like to go thru people’s possessions out of curiosity because it gives you insight about how people live and who they are. For me a “tour” meant the actual physical layout and the amenities that you get in that area which she included but I had to labor thru the possessions. The title lead me to believe I would find out what $3,800 gets you (physical layout and amenities ).I watch those type of videos and this turned out to be not that.
3,800 I'm living in New York City all my life 56 years and I'm not ashamed to say it and yes you are paying too much and that is what they're going to expect from you because they know that you are an out-of-towner probably and you would pay that much to live in NYC. Your rent is going to go up as well if it is not subsidized. I really hope you have a a balcony a swimming pool a gym for that price. And when you say very common for the city no it is not and that's how they full a lot of people like you. I think you guys should have watched a whole lot more RUclips videos before you took the plunge.
I'm sorry but Fort Greene is not the most "upscale" places to live. It's a regular neighborhood. Have you ever seen Mill Basin or areas near the water around Fort Hamiton? Other than that, Nice video.
The neighborhoods between Dumbo and Park Slope (and west of Bed-Stuy) are the most expensive areas of Brooklyn, other than the nicer waterfront areas around Williamsburg/Green Point. Especially the brownstone streets south of Fort Greene Park or next to Prospect Park. I've spent a lot of time in Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights/Fort Hamilton and while they're safe and suburban, I wouldn't consider them particularly wealthy areas.
@@gileneusz sadly I’m spoiled and would go crazy with two people working from home in a darker/smaller space. 😅 (also living close to subway lines and a park are worth it!). Without these things I don’t think I’d enjoy life in NY enough to stay
For those asking about my couch, you can find it here!! 🫡 bit.ly/3ylFXGs
when i see rent prices like this i wonder what would happen if EVERYONE just refused to pay this much for housing. it's insane. insane.
I agree, is ridiculous.
Nothing would happen cause there would be people wiling to pay that and just move in
Boston rent is crazy too
you also get paid more than some random town in idaho where rent is $700
@@jung1eman1 still not enough. Rent here is outrageous for most folks even the surrounding suburbs in Boston. Awful now…

$3,800 is insane I’ll never complain about my $1,000+ mortgage.
Right. I'll take my 705 a month anytime over 3800. Insane.
but then there're common charges, property taxes and it gets pretty damn close (at least where I live in NYC)
