    Jeff said Sifu Greg is 52. Very inspiring to see how slick and fast he stays at this age. Head movement, footwork and counters are crisp just like a boxer. Fighting him when he was in his 20-30s must have been a death sentence. 😅

      Its what we need. Hopefully Jeff can take what he learn and apply it in his fights even if he doesn't call himself a Kung Fu practitioners we can recognize what techniques work or how to improve them through him because he has that experience and technical knowledge.

  • @baqikenny
    @baqikenny 11 месяцев назад +3

    anything of any focuses would hold up to mma in long term if u actually spar with variety of people,test ur strategies & conditioning + constantly reflect and revalidate urself, even if u ain't pro,u will be decently good anyway.
    IT wont matter what u call ur style or what u choose to glorify as a focus in fighting skills to name ur school, if u have been going through the above lately and let ur friends/students/fighters do the same with humbleness and always ready be humbled, then i doubt u would suck

    9:02-9:06 and 9:18 are very beautiful. Somehow I'm getting the impression that martial arts is 50% distance control and 50% cardio?

    • @BestRiddles100
      @BestRiddles100 Год назад +2

      The one who controls the distance wins the fight, after that it’s you’re skills being a complete fighter and then comes back to the person

    • @AuthenticShaolin
      @AuthenticShaolin  Год назад

      Footwork and distance helps control the fight, but all aspects of the fighter makes him/ her a great fighter. Experience, time, dedication to your craft, and being a continuous student creates amazing warriors🤙🤙🤙. Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏

    • @AuthenticShaolin
      @AuthenticShaolin  Год назад +12

      That's the true point. Slight differences in the entry and execution of the technique. We are more similar than different. All the training I do is norther shaolin ( lohan chuan ), but adaptability is key when fighting different styles. We do Sanda / Lei tai. Thanks for watching and appreciate the input. 🤙

    • @strangelaw6384
      @strangelaw6384 Год назад +2

      That's because most attacks were dodged/slipped. Distance control is still meta. Look for strikes from both sides that were responded with blocking instead of dodging. There's a lot in the pair of 8:22.
