    Dumb question but will this give a good crunchy blues SRV tone on my clean chammel on a Runt 20? or is just a volume gain?

    • @tomulator

      Leonard Bunn works incredibly well with the Runt 20. I’d say YES....it’ll kick the crap out of the clean channel of the Runt!

    Papa did you put that in the loop or through the front in this demo?? Great demo

    Hey Brett! Great vids as always.
    Hows about a full run down on your gear setup when you gig? Your effects chain etc.

      I have two rigs if I am using the Friedman I use just the head and 3 pedals all running through the loop. I use a Line 6 M9, Line 6 Echo Park, and a Strymon Flint. If I am using the Divided by 13 BTR23 it is the same effects into the front of the amp and then I use two boost pedals, the Divided by 13 Lift Pedal and the Xotic RC Booster. Sweet and simple and totally gets the job done.

      papastache102 sounds simple and sweet. Nothing complicated. Thanks for sharing. Are you familiar with Dan Patlansky?

    Because of your reviews, I am going to get a Friedman. This video sounds fantastic! While I know the dirty Shirley isn’t an amp meant for modern metal (thank goodness), with the boost going into it, as you have here, just how hard and heavy does the Shirley get?

    • @BrettPapa
      @BrettPapa  6 лет назад

      Awesome! It gets a great Hard Rock tone. If you have a little gain on the amp and then the pedal I think you are in business!

    Winding up the tight control and then turning up the bass control defeats the purpose. The tight control is a high pass filter so winding up the tight control and then winding up the bass control is effectively doing nothing... if you want the bass control to be heard you have to let off on the tight control, aka the high pass filter. You need to set the tightness control all the way off, windup the bass control where you want it then sweep in the tightness control to eliminate the extra low stuff that you don't need.

    Why not just use eq after? Is there a difference. ?

    Why doesn't anyone ever demo a clean boost with an actual clean tone?!

    • @BrettPapa
      @BrettPapa  2 года назад

      Not that many people I have ever worked with play totally clean. Just a different way of doing things. That is why most of these pedal guys make a clean boost the idea is that your amp gets a kick in the pants without changing the tone. And being that it is a Friedman pedal a clean tone isnt exactly what they had in mind lol!
