...thanks to you, I’m now +1 Marshall Origin 20, +1 Friedman Buxom Boost, and +1 G12m greenback cab. 👍😎 ...thank you for your superb playing and excellent synopsis, you excel at these deep dives.
@@DanLeggatt ....picking it up today! Just arrived at the store. I also added +1 OD-BE (...because hi-gain 🤦♂️, lol!). Can’t wait!!! Will report back once I’ve dialled/played. ...long overdue for some Marshall flavours. Glad I pulled the trigger... ...as mentioned, your review was a real benefit and and gave me the confidence to ‘jump in’ and get rigged up with one. Stay well brother & keep doing what you do 😎.
Hi Dan, I think you have taken your playing to 11 in this demo🎸 Great, very comprehensive run through of a couple of beauty’s, Friedman should use you to demo all their stuff. 👌👍
Another great video brother, your demos are very informative. Allowing us to actually see the pedals as you tweek them really helps. Now I want these pedals😂
Nice video Dan! Which speaker do you have in that Laney? I swapped my stock LC30 mk1 out with a creamback and it sprang to life on its own, reckon with a Friedman it'll do even better.
I don’t have any in my collection at the moment. I did have a Les Paul Special on loan but it’s now gone back. Looking to add p90’s as a permanent fixture soon 👍
@@DanLeggatt Don't think you will have any regrets. I have four guitars in my collection with P90's and they all sound very different but I love them all equally... I've found that the P90's sound amazing on a lot of the Kemper rigs. I think I would have had a look at these pedals if I was still playing live music..Cheers Dan
The VHT has a very controlled and tight low end but you could still use further sculpting for super tight metal or drop tunings. Also any boost I think needs the low end shaving off but that falls into personal preference.
@@DanLeggatt Thanks, I love your videos by the way. Did you say the Pearl is bright? I don't want bright but I do want a good boost, mid boost to go with my Buxom. I have a Buxom and Eros and not sure about the Eros. Maybe replace wirh Deadweld Duality or Friedman Pearl.
@@jasonhampton2792 Really tough call. My personal preference would probably be the Buxom as it has so much tone shaping. It will definitely push your breakup over the edge but if you want a fair bit more gain, go with the Pearl 👍
I have a runt 20 Friedman amp I want to enhance my tone and add more dirt without getting too loud. What peda would you go with if you had to choose only 1?
@@richardwalley2862 It's a tough call, I think they would both work great. If it were me, I would go with the Buxom Boost. It has a little more tone shaping and really just sounds like your amp but more.
I recently got the Golden Pearl and its awesome... now I want a Buxom Boost. 1 question, did you try stacking them together into a clean amp? Just wondering what it would sound like as I'm a big fan of stacking boost into low gain overdrive pedals. Great reviews 👌🏼
Both pedals sound great with the Origin. Well done demo Dan.
Cheers! I think they are both great choices. I’d take either over the Marshall’s built in boost.
Great demo man both sound ace!i like that u put them in front of high gain amp too

Ah man that Buxom Boost sounds particularly cool I think. Nice demo as always, pleased to see the VHT get some love 😁
Thanks dude! That amp doesn’t get nearly as much love as it should! Hopefully more appearances soon 👌
These sound brilliant! You know just how to scratch my 80’s itch 😉🤣😂🤣 Great stuff Dan!

Cheers Ray! I was definitely enjoying the tones which I think comes out through the playing 🤘
Thanks 🙏 a lot Dan. Great demo ! Was not aware of these devices. Definitely I’ll put them on my wishlist! ... again well played..
Cheers! They are really great little boxes. I’ve been using the Buxom non stop.
Great video! Origin + Goldenpearl YEAH!!

What bridge pickup do you have in that Les Paul Studio? Love the tone.
What Bucker do have in the bridge of the Studio LP ? Is that a Phat Cat in the neck too ?
I have a Soldano SLO which already goes to 11 - do I still need this? 😀
I wondered how long it would take for someone to say this! 😂 I’ll change it just for you.
buxom boost will take it to 13.5 bro.....
Thanks Dan, nice video. GP for me. Lately I can't get enough of transparent drives...?
Amazing sounds! I think the Buxom boost sounds perfect with the Pittbull and the Golden Pearl with the Marshall!
I definitely couldn’t decide, which is how I ended up with both 😂

Currently a WGS ET65, I like it a lot but I feel there might be a better choice. Might try a Creamback. Thanks for the tip 👍
That's a "GOLD Explaination" about How to Use Boost Pedal in a front of Amps !! Like #122 and Subscribed. Thx 4 Ur Video :)

OOOOOH Nice Dan Really nice.. I's love to hear them through a apir of P90's but I don't think you play P90's...?

You said the VHT is very tight but them you said the Buxom nicely tightened up the low end of the VHT?

I have a Marshall origin 50 combo, if you were going to buy only one of these which one would be your pick and why?
Do you run the Marshall crunchy or clean?

What is the pickup in the neck of your Studio?
Tonerider Rebel 90 👍
