  • Having already conquered the high-end amplifier market, Friedman continue their ventures in to pedalboard territory with their latest offerings - the dual channel BE-OD Deluxe, which picks up where the original leaves off, with a second fully independent channel, extra voicing options and greater variety in the tone and gain structure. The all-new Golden Pearl Overdrive exemplifies Dave's passion for all-natural amplifier breakup tones, enabling you to kick your cranked amp up a gear or two for bigger rhythm tones or solos. Both pedals showcase Dave's notorious attention to detail, allowing you to dial these in to your own personal rig in the most organic way possible. Loud or quiet, clean or filthy - the choice is truly yours!
    Jack also briefly touches on Friedman's history in the music industry, alluding to the various factors that go in to his unique and unrivalled designs.
    All products featured in this video are Friedman-designed. Jack is playing a Friedman Vintage T model guitar in to a Friedman Smallbox 50 amplifier head.

    Friedman has basically taken all of the best of what we love about Marshall amps and allows us to dial that in anytime we want and in spades! Loud but focused and very pleasing to the ear. Glorious tone!

      Perhaps Marshall can take a cue from Friedman and make better amps?

      Renaissance Man Marshall makes mass produced amps. The JVM is a great sounding modded JCM800. Friedman’s are like modded Plexi’s

      To be honest friedmans sound great but they also take away the taw visceral things I like about the plexi. Honestly if Friedman made a handwired plexi clone that is more consistent than the vintage amps kinda like the suhr sl68 I'd for sure cop it.

    [Long pants!] I could be fully satisfied with a complete Friedman ecosystem-guitars, amps, effects, cabs. Can't say that about any other company. Pretty remarkable, considering most of those products from him haven't been available for all that long.

      Don't forget EVH has guitars/amps/effects/cabs. which we know are pretty darn good. Of course not Friedman level but none the less good.

    • @CentaurusRelax314
      @CentaurusRelax314 6 лет назад +1

      @@escapethechains Good point. I wouldn't say "not Friedman level," just 'different,' and maybe less diverse? All of those Friedman(/Jackson) guitars cover a wide range of styles. Now that i'm re-evaluating my initial 'hot take,' i'd have to credit Fender, as well. They've got a nice new set of effects, and the guitars are always great. I was probably thinking their amps don't satisfy my high gain appetites, but maybe the Friedmans don't cover my sparkly 'Fender cleans' either. Whatever. It's a good era for guitar players.

      Agree ... it’s an expensive sound. I haven’t tried his guitars but have one of his amps...he still initials each one after testing himself at least he did 2 years ago.

    Many guitar players are looking for their signature tone. To me, I realized maybe ten years ago or so that to achieve that I'll have to put my hands inside my amp and it's simply what I've done. It's you, the sound inside your head and your amp! Even if don't have the skills at the beginning, nowadays there so much information on the internet that can help, when your goal stays the same. I don't say, you have to unscrew your amp and have a look inside without knowing what you're doing! If you're adviced and motivated, there are no things you can learn by yourself. Only one modification at a time, it's already a great step to another.

      Through an Origin 20 would be a great test. I have a Friedman Dirty Shirley pedal on the way to try through my origin 50. I think an Origin +a Friedman pedal seems like a nice budget way to approach the Friedman experience.
