Searched for D Shirley with Buxom Boost and boom, here it is. Thank you! Your pedal control knob comparisons were perfect. Then once you had the pedal set you bypassed it, amp only, what an diff. Buxom Boost Tight Control helps take the Shirley from JTM to JMP. 👍
thee other great application for this pedal is to cut the boost. If you have a single channel amp (like the PT-20) set to a gainy sound, you can actually use this pedal to cut the gain and get a clean sound. Extremely useful for single channel amps and in my opinion sounds better (thicker) than simply rolling off the guitar volume...
i have this pedal. it works best with amps that already have great overdrive. I use it to kick a great amp set to moderate rhythm overdrive, and use the pedal for solos. however, if the amp that you are using has a crappy overdrive channel, this boost will not make it sound any better. in my opinion of course.

Wow! Was just trying out boosts and you just sold me on this box. Huge transformation of gain and tone with the ability to sculpt it anyway you want.
Dramatic! Really expands the range and versatility of that amp.
I find it funny that at the 7:14 mark this Betty boost turned the Dirty Shirley into Helmets Vht PItbull amp from the album Betty. Go listen to it.
Sold! Will go fantastic with my mini dirty Shirley
@Fusion 72 yep matches perfectly
Yep about time for me to go ahead and purchase one of the Buxom Boost pedals.I've been holding out but its time ! Thanks for the demo!
Great video! How does the buxom boost react in high channel with more gain from the amp? Is it enough to push the amp to metal territory?

best pedal for this aplication is the homebrew sound detox eq
Great demo. Really helped me make a decision on this 👍
Did I miss something??? Did a distortion pop in there from somewhere??
Would love to hear a demo with the SLO if you still have it.
don't have a SLO currently, but that amp has MORE than enough gain...
RezaMatix I know it has enough gain. I don’t boost so much for added gain as I do for feel.
i do the same for my SLO
Freaking huge sounding.
Did you put that in front or in the loop?
right in front!
is loud enougt to play in a small or midion place?
is what loud enougt?
@@RezaMatix the dirty shirley head i want to buy one but i don't how loud is it
@@lucatrevi9963 its 40 watts. louder than any drummer.

as is the case for any boost pedal.
lol. the dirty shirley has an incredible overdrive..yer crazy.
Why doesn't anyone ever demo a clean boost with an actual clean tone?!
Because thats not what CLEAN boosts are for. they are to boost dirty channels without adding any grit, hence "clean" boost. :)
