When we moved into our house, 3 years ago, there was no microwave in our house and I still don’t have one. I am 66 years old and have used them for over 30 years, but truly, I don’t miss it. I lived without one before I had one, I can live without one now,. Lol, reminded myself of an old song! I love your home! 😍
The horse prints are so sweet they have to go in the nursery. Love the green patina it is a color I use in my home. I use cast iron in to cook with. I love it. Take the pan and hea tup on stove, then plunge in ice water, scour out with green scrubby, if bad use brillo. Then coat entire cast with cooking oil or lard, bake on cookie sheet on low heat for a while. It will smoke then take out, let cool wipe with cloth and it is seasoned. Never use soap to wash. Every use drying it on top of stove and wipe with spray oil and paper towel until dry and coated. Nonstick may take a while to become nonstick if you just cleaned it.
Andrea, I love your finds awesome treasures, especially the masher. I have a masher regular size, and when my daughter's were small my husband had some sand pour in our back yard to build a two car garage , and shop. And, my oldest daughter and her neighbor friend played with tonka trucks and bulldozers. But, I was looking four my potatoe masher like yours and I couldn't find it. Happen to be in the back yard going toward the clothes line to hang out some sheets and looked at the sand pile and there laid my potatoe masher, and the round part was dented in like a v shape, lol... where my daughter had it playing. I still have it and wouldn't take any amount for it be cause she had a ball playing with it. Just wanting to share this and how kids love all different kinds of things not just toys to have an adventure with. I got a small hammer and shaped it back up best I could, and washed still use it to this day, lol... Have a blessed and happy day❤😊
Oh that market basket was a FIND! Such lovely weathered details. The horse prints will be perfect in the boys’ room, love that classic equestrian look 💙
Love that beautiful shopping basket!! We once unpacked our entire trunk to bring back a table from vacation. My husband had to take it apart and then we put in in the bottom, and then repacked all the stuff around it. It was a tradition that we always brought something old back from vacation. Nothing fills me up like a good antique find. Doesn't have to be expensive, just something I was searching for. You look really pretty today, rested and happy!
Hi Andrea. I always love your videos. I recently read that you have celiacs. I am also celiac and I felt like I should warn you about used cast iron. I glutened myself accidentally by cooking cabbage and onions in my cast iron pan. I used to make cornbread in that pan and I didn’t even think about it after going gluten free. We got rid of our toaster and wooden utensils and cutting boards to avoid cross contamination issues, but I didn’t think about that pan. Cast iron being porous can be risky. After that experience, we had to donate it and start fresh with a new cast iron pan. I hope you are doing well. Celiac isn’t an easy illness to have, but it is such a blessing to know what is the cause of health issues. God bless you and your family.
Hi Andrea I just watched a video a tad bit ago. It is always wonderful to see your beautiful smiling face. I mean if I am having a stressful day or anxious day to see your beautiful smile really helps. I can tell you are a sweet down to earth person. It is enjoyable to see how someone else decorates their home or what they enjoy finding thrifting or Antiquing. I bet you had a wonderful trip with family . We are heading out on a trip soon . One place we like is the coast of Texas and Rockport and Port Aransas. Water is very calming. God is so much of his beautiful creation. Thank you for being you Andrea. Have a blessed day and Weekend. Patricia.

And I love to see what you pick up because I know you are very intentional in your purchases and I’m trying to be that way also especially because since moving into a new to us home I decluttered about 1/3 of what I owned and being in a 122 year old home there’s not much storage 🤷🏻♀️.
