I think replacing the straw hats with felt ones would add that extra fall touch there that you are looking for!

I think leave the pumpkins on the coffee table with the books and candle, it looks great. Just find warmer toned pillow covers and blankets.
I have found about 5 pieces of Heritage Pfaltzgraff this Summer and Fall so far to add to my collection!
I found a similar trash can too but mine is lined. I have been thrifting a couple times a week now for the last 6 weeks or so!
I must look for pretty scarves! Thanks for that idea !

Cornucopia: my florist made a little dried arrangement in mine. He even included dried okra. I like what you're doing with yours.

I like to add whole coffee bean in the bottom of a jar with a candle the smell is great to.
I’m in MI too!! I raised 3 boys too, 2 are in their thirties, 1 is in his forties 😮…..when did that happen haha!! While you’re out thrifting pick up a few giant casserole dishes for the future (trust me)!!!! Anyway I now have 5 grandkids, 2 are girls, whole new world!!! Love your videos! ☀️☀️☀️
Andrea, a plaid napkin/ tea towel somewhere on the coffee table could be the answer. I’d place an apple or pumpkin in that little pottery bowl. Your home is charming!

Dried beans or mini pumpkins would be pretty in the candle holder you used !
You could add some little acorns in the hurricane glass around the candle. Everything looks so pretty!
Acorns always say Fall! I speak from experience when I say to bake them first! Otherwise, little worms come out of them! Ick!

Love all the simple fall touches. I also look for mens plaid flannel shirts in fall colors , from the thrift shop , to hang off a hook. Also the little side table in the dining room is nice... but I still think your grandpas little dresser was my favorite. Also the apples in the cornucopia is perfection!!!!
With all the various combinations, Grandpa's dresser is still my favourite also.
Candle in a jar: I like to add something in the bottom of the jar to level the candle. I have used coarse salt. I have also used part of my old buttons collection. Dry beans and lentils come in such pretty fall colors that I want to try for color.
Sally - thanks for sharing your idea ! I have a collection of ivory & off-white buttons that would look good, I bet - I would probably use an LED candle, though- wouldn’t want to get wax on my buttons - lol !

All great ideas here! Putting on my fall pillow covers made the most impact in my seasonal decor so far. Last week I placed a pretty fall scarf and fall coats from my daughter and myself on the back of the door hooks in the kitchen that leads into the garage. What a nice nod to fall it added to our kitchen. When she was younger we'd head to the park and spend the first few minutes foraging for acorns, pine cones, mossy sticks and extra large bright leaves before we'd go to the play structures. I bet your boys could find a treasure trove for you! Absolutely loving the subtle fall wreath you styled on the mirror! So naturally charming, well done Andrea! ~~MaryAnn🤗

Love thrifting and your style! (Technically that is a candle extinguisher, a snuffer is actually a pair of cutters for wick trimming. I was a home school Mom and did a candle making demonstration for our local historical society 😁) Fall blessings to you!
Hi Andrea, your home is gorgeous, but because I love colour, my thoughts are why not a velvet pillow with a colour in it, gold perhaps or your beautiful green in a velvet. That would bring it up another level. Whatever you do is perfect for you, I know that. Hugs.

The glass batter bowl is an older item from Party Lite. I have the same one…there is a larger one, but haven’t found one yet. Party Lite doesn’t have these bowls anymore, and have come out with another version of nesting bowls. 👍

Really nice ideas- but as my mom and I were watching, we were hoping for you to bring in real fall leaves from your yard to put under the apples or small pumpkins in your cornucopia~. Just a few real leaves would soften everything up. Or coming out of your baskets by your front door, maybe a pumpkin on the stool…still simple but a little more decorative. You do a lovely job!

Some great ideas! You could also use pretty pumpkin shaped buns in the cornucopia too for Thanksgiving dinner. I make these pretty buns every year, they look just like little pumpkins, you use butchers twine on the raw dough before baking to shape it. I do have a question for you, why do you have numbered hooks in your front door area? Do you have 4 kids and so everyone has their own hooks? Beautiful home.
Just an FYI-once you start using the snuffer it will get black soot on the inside that may leave a ring mark on your books if you style the snuffer on top on them.

Andrea! Absolutely love all your thrifted finds, especially the little green bowl! I completely relate with the toddler and the coffee table. My 14 month old is obsessed with throwing things off the coffee table and climbing on top to read the books I styled there hahah. I wish I could do a pretty candle or vase like you have but I already know those will end up on the floor haha. Lovely video as always ❤
