- Hello friends! Today I am sharing my recent birthday antique haul and I hope you enjoy as I take you along to antique shop with me!
Every year my mom and I try to get away for my birthday and antique together and it is always a very special day for me. We always have such a fun time visiting store after store and taking our time looking over every beautiful item they have to offer. I also cherish and love the one on one time with my mom, it is always exactly what I need.

Andrea the planter is for African violets. You pour the water in the bowl and the unglazed pot will absorb the water to nourish the plant. The clothes pin mobile is for drying herbs. What great finds. Cant wait to see how you incorporate these treasures in your beautiful home. Happy belated Birthday to both you and Ethan. Hope you had wonderful days. I lost my mom 18 years ago and my husband lost his dad during my mother’s funeral. We miss them so much. So anytime I see a mother and daughter spending time together like this it thrills me. Brings back so many memories as well. Have a great weekend! ❤️

My birthday is the 16th and my FIL’s is the 19th. We have a lot of summer birthdays in our family. Love love love your finds! I’ve started taking my 11 year old granddaughter thrifting and antiquing with me. She loves old things! Happy Belated birthday Andrea! 🎉❤️🎂

Lost my mom when I was 38 and I’m 72 now and miss her so much still.
I remember my Grandma always had a clothes pin holder on her clothesline made from a child’s dress.

Love the wicker basket you bought & the lacy planter how cute. One thing I noticed was the cardboard box with your finds that said Michigan Blueberries. That would be so cool painted on a piece of old wood. You just never know where inspiration comes from. BTW Happy Belated Birthday.

The planter that you bought really was a very good deal. They can be pretty pricey, without even being vintage. I noticed that the vintage clothespins were made in the USA. I line dry our clothes and wanted to buy some nice clothespins that were made in the USA. The least expensive ones I found were $150 each, so you did better than you thought on that one as well! Happy Birthday! You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Your style is so clean and inviting. I do have one question for you. Do you ever test your vintage pottery, ceramic, china, or kitchenware for lead? I'm especially concerned if using them for cooking, food prep, or dinnerware.

The round brush was used by Sheetrock finishers to put a design on the ceiling with Sheetrock mud. Very popular in the 1970’s. I still have one that I used.

Andrea I loved everything you bought. Your not going to believe this but Farmhouse on Meadowhill went to West Virginia to a awesome antique place and I saw three different sizes of those white bowls and my mouth dropped because Ive been trying to find them for ever and I live in Nashville Tn and I just can't find them and now you just bought this one and I was just in awe when you were showing it, matter of fact I was saying to my self, yes Andrea get that bowl. I love those. I have that spoon and that basket and you definitely got some pretty pieces. Thank you for taking us along, I love to watch those type of videos and then see what you bought.
Maiden hair fern for the little planter, so many great finds
For the planter- angel vine, maiden hair fern, African violet or Pilea. Your boys would love the Sensitive plant . The leaves close up when touched.

Pathos is the hardiest plant you could find. But if you are going for whimsy do maiden hair fern or rabbit foot fern. Happy birthday! Glad you had fun.

That big brush is a wallpaper paste brush. My mom always did her own wallpapering when she redecorated. The paper wasn’t prepasted back then.

What a fun day with your mom. Great finds too. The clothespins were not a bad deal for that many.what a nice find. Vintageclothespins bring back such wonderful memories of my great grandma hanging clothes on the line.

Hey...this is cool....you are shopping in Bay City. We live there...and those antique shops are pretty cool. Several really cool thrift shops in Bay City and in Essexville.
Pilea might be good for your planter. They are easy to care for and also adorable.
OMG!!! I love that basket you found!!! Your other items are great as well to go in with your decor! And I've never seen vintage clothes pins. Do those really work in holding your clothes?
Had to come back and comment again to let you know that I found a set of vintage Pfaltzgraff Heritage white dishes. Service for 6 including dinner plates, salad plates, cups, saucers, bowls, a butter dish, a platter, gravy pitcher with plate that goes under, cream and sugar and candle stick holders. All for $60!

I have an old picnic basket my mom got back in the 50's and she got them using yellow stamps. I still use it for picnics and taking food to church for fellowship meals.
An African violet would do well in the fluted container. Just a strip of rawhide is all you need to hang your brush above your desk. Awesome haul, Andrea.

African violet for your planter! If it doesn't do well, go get another one and try it in a different window. If you find a place they like, they are very low maintenance:)

A dainty “ maiden “ fern would suit your style. I love to use in kitchen and bath. I think they are whimsical.

Angel vine would be adorable in that cute planter! It is so whimsical and wild! You can keep cutting it back to keep it from getting too long. Also fun, the clothes pins you bought were made just a few miles from my home in Maine. 😊

Love your birthday tradition antiquing with your mom. My son and I share a birthday month too mine is July 10th and his is the 18th. The first plant that came to mind was an African violet I think would be very sweet in your pretty scalloped planter. Love your home. Look forward to seeing your completed laundry room!

I love your haul and Happy Birthday. You chose so many wonderful things, which I would have chose, the basket, the wooden clothes pins, bowl and that cute little planter, so cute. It's so nice when you can find even the little wooden pieces. I always get so excited when I can find old kitchen utensils. Hope your son had a fun birthday.
A maiden hair fern would look so good in that planter but they are a little hard to care for. They need to stay moist. Asparagus ferns would look whimsical too! I always love your finds! Happy Belated Birthday!

I rarely initiate a price change for smaller things, or if I think the price is acceptable, but that beautiful item that had paint on the side would have been a for sure item that I would have bartered for.

Love the cabinet, especially the scroll design on the bottom .My son was born on my birthday so we always celebrated together, now he's grown up, so not much anymore as he lives in a distant town. I also has our 1st son on my husband's birthday.
