For the glare on the glass, you can replace it with museum glass and you have as much reflection.
I saw a reel of someone who took one of those heart baskets, removed the “pins” to take it apart and have lots of hearts. Then she used twine to connect them and made a wooden heart banner. It was so cute.

PIcture mats can easily be painted white or whatever color you want with a little roller. My painted thrifted mats have always turned out really nice. Fun thrifting trip. Thanks for taking us along!

The frames for the boys would be cute using silhouette.
I love the tiny vases w/ the kids in mind. I save the little syrup bottles from Cracker Barrel and add roses cut from my yard to give to friends. They are always so excited to have a little happy!

The little glass vases remind me of years ago shrimp cocktail came in them. People saved them for juice glasses. That's when things were made of glass and not plastic.🥺
Those little glasses were originally sold with shrimp cocktail. My mom use to buy them for my dad.
I have Hobby Lobby cut non-glare glass for my frames. I agree with changing the frame out for a wooden one.
I love the idea of hanging that first little heart. I love hearts and I noticed them a lot from my love of English cottages. I wish I knew why.

You can criss cross mod podge on the glass (I like matte finish) it will remove glare and make it look like real painting.
I think the heart baskets are super sweet! And I know you’ll style them beautifully ❤ great finds! I’m a mom of littles too so I don’t get to get out as much as I’d like and when I do it doesn’t always go well 😂 but I gotta try

When you were walking by that adorable candle plate I was like put that in your Buggy! I was SO glad to see you got it. What a find! Isn't thrifting the best. Your home is so charming and warm for your sweet little boys. I am a boy mama too and I love things like Valentine's day because it is my opportunity to go a little wild with pink and hearts because its a lot of mud and goofy boys around here :)

Love all your little finds! The 4 lil frames are perfect. The Good And The Beautiful artwork reminds me of your own, Andrea. Use your own artwork too! Those heart baskets are precious. Hung with a sweet, neutral ribbon year round...hearts represent love and so does your precious home. And the duplicate pottery piece for .75 cents. How can you refuse even if it's a dup? I can see a lovely bouquet of dried flowers in it. Can not tell the frames are actually plastic. I love the color....kind of brassy gold~ish? Thanks for taking us along thrifting. It's always a fun time!
Great items! Another fun little glass item that works well as bud vases are old salt and pepper shakers with no lids. They are usually very inexpensive. Beautiful cut glass and crystal ones can be found while thrifting. Perfect for placing on a kitchen window sill.

boys I remembered those glasses as a kid. My mom would buy them at the store. They had shrimp cocktail in them. It was such a special treat and we saved those tiny glasses for ourselves . I’m 60 yrs old so it was a long time ago but just wanted to say thanks

That is so funny you mentioned the good and the beautiful art in frames! I just did that this week because I couldn't stand to leave them in the book once we finished a lesson. It looks fabulous in my thrifted frame and my son loves seeing his lesson displayed in our home!
Dear Andrea, Enjoyed the haul. The larger print with the super reflection; I would put it a wood frame. The tiny edged gold frame is pretty but wood would soften it so much. Great idea with the home school pictures. I've used magazine pages. Art in our homes is totally up to " beauty in the eye of the beholder". Hugs💞
The little vases are from the grocery stores, they are shrimp cocktails over in the meat section. I save mine too after eating them. For little vases and little children's juice glasses, lol

The oval frame & print are 80s Home Interior brand decor. You will be pleased with how easy it is to add a new print. The print is attached to backing that is screwed in place. Makes it easy to trace & cut your new print and stays in place.
I love thrifting, have been doing it for thirty years. Those small cute little frames would be adorable on the Christmas tree. I have frames for my son's pictures and it's always so fun to put them up every Christmas and to remember when they were taken. The new teapot could be used like a pitcher to hold flowers also. I've purchased a whole set of the Pfaltzgraff for my son when he grows up. I love how heavy and sturdy it is. We just bought my son a thrifted piece of Ethan Allen Highboy, solid maple for seventy five dollars. Where we live things are double or triple from your thrift store, but still cheaper and more unique.
You inspire me to be more patient with my decor and to not always go to target to get the new decor, but to spend my time finding pieces that I love at local thrift stores and to bring new life to preloved pieces. I love your style! ❤
Good morning, Andrea! Here's a few suggestions....the extra teapot would be cute in your kitchen to set one of your real plants in on your counter. Also the small frames like you said add your (4) boys pictures to and maybe set them on a pretty tray next to your bed where their little precious faces will be the first thing you see in the morning! @@PineandProspectHome Andrea, I've been thinking about those little vases you bought and said that your boys always brought wild flowers in to you and you were going to you the little jars or vases for that. Well in the video I noticed some really cute little baskets about the height of those little vases you bought. I have been wondering if those little vases would slide down in those baskets. I have one of those handless woven heart baskets but larger than the one you have. I lay it next to a large bouquet of greens or flowers as part of the vignette. I love the look.

The heart without the bottom were popular in the early 90s. I used to have a double one.

You could glue some sphagnum moss to the bottom and stick succulent cuttings to that heart shaped basket.
Good finds! My Mom always did something for Valentine's day. Usually at breakfast, she would make waffles and have some little treats. It always made the focus of a loving family, and was a happy childhood memory I carried on with my boys.
That photograph looks exactly like this place I visited in The Netherlands.
You can buy museum glass for that gorgeous photo. It will take away the glare and make it a much more important piece for not a lot of money! Good kinds...

English cottage style , so well....alot of English cottages have modern country style nowaday s exposed stone walls , log burners, lovely modern country kitchen,s although some are very oldy worldy...the modern country is a lovely look...very similer decor to your own interiors style....i love watching American chanels , its interesting as some american cottages claim to have a very english cottage style but some are still very much more american old style but your home i love as it is bright with lots light and paler old woods , and can tell you love nature and succeed in bringing al little of the outside in...doors. and its so nice to mix old things with slightly newer things looks so clean and fresh and pretty.....xxxx

Even though you weren't sure why you had bought the twig heart baskets, I'm gad you went ahead and bought them anyway! They are adorably sweet and I am sure you will find a great way to use them. The small fluted glasses you are planning to use as little flower vases came from frozen "Sau-Sea Shrimp Cocktail" which came, I think in 3-packs. I remember my mother serving them as sort of a special treat when growing up in the 1950's and 60's. I do not think they are available anymore. I still have 3 of these glasses in my cupboard and guess what I use them for? Little flower poseys, mostly when my daughters were young and would pick the flowers for me!
You can change out the glass in your photo pic for non reflective glass.

Oh my goodnes... at 1:50 there was a chunky wood caddy with forged iron feet that I would die for! I see it filled with small aged terra cotta pots on a window sill or your long dining table with small herbs! Or candles.... or Easter eggs and moss , or mini pumpkins ,or small winter sprigs of greenery... the ideas are endless!!!! I want one!!!!

Pssst...the little green pottery trinket dish was made in Pigeon Forge, TN. The town is famous for it's Pigeon Forge pottery! I have a few pieces from a visit there years ago.

We use good and beautiful also and love it! We can never part with the books because we love to look back through the art. That’s a great idea to frame it!!!!
Maybe your boys could make something for grandma for Valentines in the little teeny basket 💝 Perhaps make some paper flowers and put them in or fill it with messages about why they love Grandma?

What a fun trip! I think your little heart baskets would be so pretty with some of that crochet ribbon that you used on your Christmas tree. So sweet hanging. I have a heart shaped pan and I make brownies in it for Valentine’s or any time I want to say I love you. Andrea you have the most incredible thrift and antique stores in your area! And some of those prices are unbeatable! I love the heart baskets! My grandmother was born on Valentine’s Day and that was my due date with my first born daughter so I just love Valentine’s Day! I think subtle Valentine’s Day decorations that blend with everyday decor are perfect! Please do a video if you happen to do anything for Valentine’s Day. I know my daughters would even love to watch!

Great finds. Love the heart basket. I have the heart shaped cake pan. Made meatloaf in it one year for Valentine's dinner & put an outline of a ketchup heart on the top - kids loved it. You could use an antique rub in buff on the brass frame to age it & use without glass. I do love wood frames though.

Yay to a thrifting video! Gray days are perfect for thrifting 👏 love your choices and you really can't go wrong with frames. Would love to see a little more of your original artwork in these, too. I have a pair of smaller white teapots that I use most often as vases. They look so pretty, spouts facing each other, with a platter or basket in between on a dining table. I adore that little heart basket! Would look so cute hanging from a pretty ribbon. I have a heart cake pan that I bake my biscuits in - they look cute popped out onto a plate/board for table service. Either the price of framing, picking up a nice frame and finding your own art is wonderful (especially when you get it before it gets all dinged up). I have framed nice greeting cards on rice paper and have considered framing fabric.
Not even kidding…I bought 2 matching oval frames with those same geese at a thrift store a few years back. In pppimnin Georgia, by the way. You know what I think? You’re probably too young to remember this but I bet your mom remembers back in the 80’s when everyone was having those Home Interiors parties,,,like Tupperware….selling home decor stuff, some of it was in those plastic frames. Betting these geese pictures are Hone Interiors stuff. KOTS of geese going around in the 80’s 😂

I finally had the chance to go thrift ing . My husband had knee surgery. I found 2 x small shelves that look like tree branches. My friends didn’t care for them. So it’s ok if nobody agrees with the your buy. Enjoy 😊. I wish I could have home school , your children are so blessed .

I love the little heart baskets. I bought one about the same size as yours (the one without the handle. I love it. I put it on a shelf and put it tipped on its side. It looks great for Valentine's Day and every other day. Every time I see the littke baskets I thrift them! ❤
