Well i think, "controll" is a bit hard. In switzerland it is mostly about looking after you. Did you have any mental conditions which could make you dangerous? Did you go to jail for something that endangers others? Well those are obvious reasons why you shouldn't get a gun. And it is like selling alcohol and cannabis: It is much easier to buy marihuana because it is less controlled. If the shops (still talking about switzerland) are able to sell guns, the have to go after rules. And man, you don't wanna disobeye those orders. But i think, it is different for every country.

Boy, does that take me back. The RK is the army issue that virtually every man in Finland knows (or should know) how to use. I've been wondering for some time why I have never heard of an American owning one.
I think a MP5 around 2500€ but I have no idea how many dollars that would be and I‘m too lazy to look it up right now. A G36 would be 3000€ that’s all I know anda pretty information because you can’t just buy a assault rifle or submachine gun in Germany.
As an OPFOR Commander I pressed many Valmets into service in 5.56 and the sqaud guns in 7.62x51NATO. Live fired and used for training with blanks. In US standard chamberings we could use all "off the shelf" blank ammunition. We employed the Daiwoo's and they were just as robust and serviceable as the Valmets. Love both weapons systems and we still have many in the Militia units we have formed. NOTE: The RPK 7.62x51NATO stamped Valmet copies came with HK-91/G-3 modified magazines. Valmet originally sent 7 magazines with each gun. All of the first models had the modified HK mags. They have worked flawlessly for all of the years we have had them. We modified 100 of the steel HK-91/G-3 surplus german mags using the originals from Valmet as the patern.
Being still fairly new to firearms, I am still learning about the various gun control laws and bans. Shame seeing H&K get screwed twice!!! I want a MP5 and am planning in getting one of the Zenith models.

You're never ever getting more Valmets, because they stopped making guns decades ago, with SAKO continuing their legacy with the RK-95 + the civvie M92 variant, but even that business stopped back in late 90s, after Beretta bought the whole firm. In short: the few RK rifles that are floating around, are the last ones on earth, unless you somehow convince Beretta OR Finns to start manufacturing more.
if the RK ever gets replaced, they will most likely be sold to people. so don't lose hope. the rifle has served for decades now and needs to be replaced soon! they're starting to break from being used so much.
In the movie "The Survivors", Robin Williams used a Valmet in .308 with a folding stock. I really wanted one, but back then $1000 seemed like a lot of money. Also the magazines were rare and expensive.

Not that I am disagreeing with you as I prefer the Valmet myself but it is interesting you picked it over the IMI Galil. I'd say most Americans know it better and wish for it harder. Valmet closed its firearms division in 1988, so even without the ban we would have lost those amazing AKs eventually. Yes SAKO did the RK95, but their production run ended around 1998 and they've not built any since. Really it is sad the state of European firearms manufacturing today.

The law doesn't say that you can't own or sell rifles that don't have sporting purposes only that you can't import them (for civilians). My point was that the 2nd amendment says nothing about sporting purposes so restricting the sales of any firearm based on that is ludicrous.
+thedudepdx well how do you think paid the candidacy for office!. me by in country arms manufacturers (what a taking a but is corrupt politicians) making it so usa gets monopoly on market!
+happylatvian Indeed - they know that they'd lose a lot of business to "them damned foreigners" (imagine a Texan accent (or one from the Bible-Belt) please!) as for example Heckler und Koch (famous for their MP5!) is a household name in the gun-community (rightfully so, I mean a lot of law-enforcement agencies and militaries all over the world use their guns and they have a great reputation!)
+thedudepdx People seem to forget that the US's definition of "artillery" circa the 18th century was overwhelmingly owned by random guy down the road, not Uncle Sam.
The 2nd amendment says nothing about guaranteeing a large selection of different firearms to choose from lol
Yet the military uses imports.
It’s almost like they’re above the law and are corrupt as the day is wide
Yes almost exclusively imports. FN makes M16A4, Most of the Armys M4s the SCAR used by some folks in Special Operations. The HK 416 in 6.8 will likely be replacing the M4 if it has not allready done so and they are also used in the Marine Corps and Special Operations Command. The SAW and 240B Machine guns are also made by FN. The Browning M2 50 Cal Machine Gun is American but Browning is owned by FN. I believe most of or Sniper Rifles are American Made. The New SIG P320 is of course made by SIG but its SIG USA in New Hampshire. SEALS are also now using GLOCK 19s which are also GLOCK USA.
Because they are the military duh 🤦♂️ civilians have no reasoning to own most guns. If you’re bored go read a book or exercise!
@@fredymendez855 HAH GAAAYYYYYY!

Nice collection you have there. Kudos!
one thing really weird about our beloved rk62 is that out of the million variants of ak 47 platform you can always tell at a glance its a rk62. although it might have a hand in it that im a finnish service man.

Great video, very informative.
where has gun control ever actually worked? seems like the states with the most gun control laws have the most gun related murders.
You'd have to live on a freaken island to prevent guns from entering.
Not that many shootings in Denmark, or Czechia, or Japan, or Canada, or Sweden(yet), or Switzerland, or...Mongolia?
@@fan9775 Criminals always find a way. Those countries in general just have low crime rates, most violent crime in modern nations, including the US is performed with knives and not guns
@@gimmedatcake4785 In the united states we have a constitutional right to guns. So for us, gun control, is a blatant violation of said right because it is a very clearly written right that says it shall not be infringed
If it's an executive order, should be easy enough to overturn.
+1337penguinman Correct, but a president has to *want* to overturn it, which is why it hasn't happened yet.
+1337penguinman Overturning a gun control executive order? No way, it would make them look bad...
Great upload , i live in the uk so watching these type of vids is as close as i will ever get to the real thing.
why? just because you live in the uk is no restriction to owning any type of firearm (legall) you just have alot more hoops to jump through
Love your video, very well done. Would have been nice if use the table more.
I stopped supporting the NRA and I still have arguments with my dad about it
The NRA is a joke. GOA>>
SeanO Covers1999 they’re all jokes. If they actually cared about the right to bear arms instead of money, they’d be funding militias that refuse to comply with firearms laws and demanding rights to be respected. Not wasting money in court cases that mean nothing when the courts are controlled by the same people who want to take your guns. They’re all fucking clowns
I live in Texas and Texas State Rifle Association represents us in state and
outside as well !
i agree the nra has done nothing but take people's money and slowly help the crooked politicains infringe on our constitutional rights. via the constitution we the people are allowed to own any weapon the military uses.
I noticed the NRA was not doing anything to benefit gun owners. And them not taking the side of Philando Castile was the final straw for me.
Sadly, after watching this video, I find out that I used to own three of these that I can't get any more.. The H&K 's 91&93 and the Valmet in. 223 .. I loved ALL 3...
I just had too many toys .. So I sold' em .. Thinking I could get another .. DAMN !!!
I'm an idiot !!!
Damn :(
Sellers remorse sucks!
+TFB TV
Tell me about .. And these are just 3 on your list ... Double-damn ...
I had an H&K 93, but sadly, I also sold it
+Chuck Berry Been there, done that. Had a PSL-54 (Romanian Dragunov SVD knockoff with AK receiver) before the first AK craze hit (back when you could get an AK for $400-$500). Was going through some hard times financially, and had no choice but to sell my favorite of my collection. Got $600 for it, which I ate $300 from what I got it for. Learned four months later that the price on a PSL-54 had doubled to around $2000.
I still hate myself for it. lol
Heard that ...
That FNC is a sexy rifle. I also have a G3 I wouldn't give up for anything.
Backyardmech1 I really want a G3 as an ar-15 alternative (I have enormous hands) but I can't afford one
Backyardmech1 would you give up your G3 for a G3 and an FNC?
Yknow, I love this channel almost as much as I love Forgotten Weapons. Literally only reason forgotten weapons gets more love is because everyone loves historical firearms 😍
I bought an HK-91 in 85 for $650 new in box. Loved the rifle. Magazine cost was high, $30 plus for standard 20rd mags and over $45 for a 5rd hunting mag, this was in 1985 dollars. Took 2 white tail deer with it and several hogs. Still kick myself for selling it in 86.
Boy, does that take me back. The RK is the army issue that virtually every man in Finland knows (or should know) how to use. I've been wondering for some time why I have never heard of an American owning one.
At least we can get real SIG SG 550s and SIG SG 540s in Canada. I feel so bad for people affected by 922r.
+copperandradium And even worse for those with state-imposed laws on top of that too. :\
Great job!
Just like always a great video
Can't forget about the SVT-40, Aug, Galil, SVD, and FAL.
i want a mp5, ill pay $2000-3000 even 5000
you can get a mp5 in 22LR around 300$ too 400$
Yeah
I think a MP5 around 2500€ but I have no idea how many dollars that would be and I‘m too lazy to look it up right now. A G36 would be 3000€ that’s all I know anda pretty information because you can’t just buy a assault rifle or submachine gun in Germany.
You definitely can, it’s just that the process is a little bit more difficult.
Palmetto state Armory is selling a mp5 clone next year. Probably for about $600-800.
Thx for adding rk62 and 95 to the list!
This is why HK hates the civilian market
So is the ban still in effect?
Yes
+TFB TV hey maybe we should get a lot of the popular gun channels to make a video telling their fans to write to Congress about this arbitrary bullshit. If Congress gets loads of letters from gun owners, maybe they'll think about it!

+Humberto Martinez Amen!!
I agree. This ban is like 30 years old and changes shall be made.
I was very pleased to see the Valmet on your list. I have two of these, one with synthetic stock and one with wood stock. I purchased these 30 years ago from an Amway salesman, believe it or not…lol.
Love your content

That Valmet RK, i want to shoot with it again so badly. Really good gun.

I bought an SLR (British version of the FN fal) customised by Classic arms customs, it's 9 inches shorter and 2 1/2 lbs lighter than the standard SLR, it's also got a folding stock and really bares a striking resemblance to the FNC.
Great video! Thanks for the memories. If only I'd known then what I know now... I'd have held on to my 94 A3 and SP89.
You're never ever getting more Valmets, because they stopped making guns decades ago, with SAKO continuing their legacy with the RK-95 + the civvie M92 variant, but even that business stopped back in late 90s, after Beretta bought the whole firm. In short: the few RK rifles that are floating around, are the last ones on earth, unless you somehow convince Beretta OR Finns to start manufacturing more.
>mfw will never get amazing finnish valmet and instead have to purchase crappy knockoff
if the RK ever gets replaced, they will most likely be sold to people. so don't lose hope. the rifle has served for decades now and needs to be replaced soon! they're starting to break from being used so much.
Well at least they start modify those old rk-62's into rk-62m
I'm finnish god dammit and I feel honoured that you have that rifle and like It so much:)
Great video brother! Have an awesome night! God bless!
In the movie "The Survivors", Robin Williams used a Valmet in .308 with a folding stock. I really wanted one, but back then $1000 seemed like a lot of money. Also the magazines were rare and expensive.
Lapua .308? Finnish ammunition
Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made.

It hit me when he said “we can all dream”
Thanks for the shopping list
Great video
Is it just me or does the Valmit look SUSPICIOUSLY like a Galil?
The galil was a valmet copy essentially.
+TFB TV Yeah seems logical. Thanks for the reply BTW
it's you well not you but the wooden stock makes it I have no idea why he's having wooden stock maybe US was thinking that the original stock made the gun look too simple and made from one piece and so wanted to replace it with wooden one but it sure looks different with original stock but it is true that RK62 and RK95 by Valmet are the best AK variants and the fun part here is Valmet is company who makes tractors but for some reason they went to gun business also and good they did now they're making reliable guns and tractors who ever likes to plow potatos and shoot the crows or potato thief neighbour at the same time long as you don't live in Finland
RK62 Woodstock edition loved by hippies all around the world
The sight is too small can't see shit but oh boy the gun is reliable and kicks less than handicap in the football (soccer) game couldn't even believe it's 7.62mm cause it doesn't kick almost at all

I think they look neat tho
Damn it i want an ARX so bad i hope all gun bans are lifted man i should get into politics
Didnt expect to find K1A1 here. Much love from Korea!
Al Pacino used the fnc rifle in HEAT in that shootout! Love some toys!😎🎸
“Damn you 1989 ban “ lmfao what we all say
No love for the SPAS-12?
Sad
Thank you sir
the Valmet Rifles and FNCs are some of my favorite rifles
HK sends its love to us, they're just limited in how much they can send. They are getting smart now though. The SP5 is brilliance.
Eight freedoms just like Myanmar and Liberia, right? =P
+bfgguns In Liberia, all of these guns are extra-legal.
This video was well narrated.
Thank you for this very well thought out presentation. The information was concise, however, your delivery could use some polish and pizzazz. If you wish my daughter is a very good speaker and would love to relay your knowledge in a manner befitting the subject (she's a huge 2A fan and could even compose your words into song). Well done, and again thank you 👍

So they thought protecting the people was the first thing they should do?
"to protect the american manufacturers"
Oh...
5 things that the government is afraid of us having
Daewoo makes amazing fire arms. I have the Lionheart LH9C which is the clone of a Daewoo DP51 it's the S. Korean Army's side arm but man I love that gun. It's my favorite 9mm compact for my EDC rotation.

That's scifi as hell and I love it
I want these guns back :(
Not that I am disagreeing with you as I prefer the Valmet myself but it is interesting you picked it over the IMI Galil.
Sad :(
+Ozark Bear Arms I think RK series is still in production...Atleast it should be soon when the RK62M comes to full use
+sagqe it's not, the 62M is merely a update, no new rifles are made.
+Aleksitusasd my bad
sagqe Yeah they're basically just modernizing the existing rifles, it's done so they can postpone the buying of new rifles with like 10 years or so. It's a shame really, I'd love to see them produce rifles themselves, but selling Sako to Beretta wasnt really the wisest move ever.
im not much of a “gun nut” but that FNC has always been my favorite
-that K1A1 is pretty sweet looking too
Good thing you can still get the MP5-A3.
