No, it’s not a sequel to Red Notice (also starring Dwayne Johnson) it’s a 250 million dollar budget Christmas movie about Santa Claus being kidnapped which is the perfect film for its target audience of… somebody. Not entirely sure who this movie is for or why is costs so much to make, but one thing is for sure… it exists.

With that super long pause until the last wow, I just realized that Ryan could make millions of followers freak out and lose our minds just by leaving the last wow out... that's a dangerous power to have I've decided.
I think I'll be ok though, I'm normal and just recognise RUclips entertainment.
I think he actually did that once when the writer guy was talking about subverting the audience's expectations.

@@stargirl7646 Few days ago a rumor went around that the Rock pisses in water bottles and leave it for the aides on set to clean it. He also frequently doesn't show up which cost the movie a lot (hence the last joke in this pitch meeting).
I heard that line, almost choked on my lunch and immediately scrolled down to see if anyone mentioned it

@@marcoottina654 apparently he turned up hours late to set regularly and urinates in bottles as he can't be bothered going to a public toilet and left it for assistants to clean up as well. Not sure how true that is but it's going around as well.

When I first heard The Rock and Chris Evans were doing a Christmas movie, I was really hoping for an updated version of Jingle All The Way. 2 dads competing for something during the holidays for their families. Alas, I was wrong.
Remaking the classic Jingle All The Way would be outrageous! It would be like remaking Citizen Kane or Casablanca.

Disagreed, the Rock was actually charismatic, Dwayne Johnson isn’t.
He was decent Hercules, but that's it.

This is easily the least convinced I have ever been of a movie’s actual existence. Even with all the posters, trailers, and interviews, I refuse to believe Red One isn’t just a fake background gag from a satire like Last Action Hero, Bowfinger, or Tropic Thunder.
There were worse movies from this year, like Madame Web, Borderlands, Argylle, and Unfrosted, but at least I believed those movies had real actors and scenes.

Does anyone else got the feeling that The rock is actually genuinely unpleasant and displeased all the time like he plays in movies, and in fact his interviews and free time jolly persona is actually the time when he acts and puts on a fake face? Every time I look at him I think "opposite day".
I think he used to be a genuine guy but that he now believes his own hype.
Im friends with someone who works on movie sets and she says The Rock is an absolute asshole. The anecdote she gave to probe this was that he pisses in plastic bottles and makes his assistant carry that out of the trailer :(

Well he is rich and famous enough his family will never have to work again in generations - yet he is still producing crappy movies and sells random useless products in his name, which he does also promot in said movies. So yeah, that's not exactly the behavior of a pleasent person.
Generally I would assume any rich person is unpleasent by default, until they show otherwise.

The start of this video felt very refreshing! The "I wonder if xy happens" got funnier every time. It was the childish joy of producer guy about uninspired movie tropes that made it both wholesome & cynical.
And I feel like "Change it up a little and call it a day" - "Okay ... How about toddler size?" - "A day!" even felt like a potential new recurring joke :)
I feel like it would have been funnier to just end the video at 0:55 as I'm sure that's where the actual pitch ended...

1. Have you ever thought of pitching a movie that wasn’t ever released? Maybe Screenwriter Guy could say everything we know about the movie and Producer Guy could be like “nah not happening.”
2. Might you revisit the videos on your main channel the way you have revisited Pitch Meetings?
3. Why do you draw things when you revisit Pitch Meetings?
4. Do you do standup comedy? If not would you like to?
5. Is there a reason you’ve pitched Toy Story but not any of its sequels?
6. I really love when the pitch meeting mimics things the show does (for example, the spider footage in the one for Sharknado). Can you please do that more often?
7. You have said you regret calling the Boss Baby’s writing lazy. What, if anything, would you consider lazy writing?
8. You said you hesitated to do pitch meetings for Boss Baby and 300 because both are stories being told by a character. Did you hesitate to pitch Aladdin for the same reason? I noticed that in that pitch meeting, although you do reference the fact that the merchant is telling a story, no one uses it as an excuse for things not making sense.
9. Have you ever thought about doing pitch meetings for music videos? I figure if you can do the trailer for Avengers: Endgame why not a music video?
10. Is there a reason you started including slideshows at the end of pitch meetings?

12. You have said that as you’re watching a movie or series you make a list of things to make fun of and if that list is too short you just don’t do the pitch meeting. Sometimes I stop watching a pitch because after half the video I’m annoyed how asinine the actual movie is that I can’t make it through Ryan’s video though he’s right in his portrayal of each stupidity. Sometimes it’s an inconvenience.

Funny thing that happened to me:
I live in Brazil and went to a cinema and watched Red One. But I accidently chose the screening in portuguese and not english. So the entire time I had almost no idea what was going on and decided to wait until Ryan makes a pitch meeting for it.
Watching a movie only to realise that it's not the correct language and then decide to wait for a pitch meeting of it is *TIGHT* !

Dwayne had a lot of very poor behavior on set including peeing in water bottles instead of just walking to the bathroom. Also as alluded to at the end, he would show up many many hours late and then expect everyone to be ready. This lead to major cost overruns so a $90M movie became $250M.
