But after quantumania revealed the function of Kang’s rings, we got to revisit the connection between these rings and the 10 rings.
And how the rings also connect to Ms Marvel’s bangle.
All of these circular artifacts have a huge role in multiverse saga, and we think we know how it all connects.
Alright, let’s start by explaining the similarities between Kang’s rings and the 10 rings.
Kang’s chair is a multiversal ship, with it he can travel anywhere in space and time. Meaning multiversal travel and time travel.
The machine is powered by a multiversal engine core.
It’s this little orange orb, it’s surrounded by interlocking rings.
The core is the main power source of Kang’s machine. And it looks like it’s powered by quantum energy.
Kang’s chair is also surrounded by rings, which are bigger and glow with white light.
Finally, there are giant rings carved into the big structure in Kang’s quantum city.
The entire structure seems to be a bigger version of the chair.
And those giant rings look like the 10 rings. They glow with similar blue energy when Wenwu wore the rings.
Blue is also the color of Kang’s energy, armor and weapons.
    Without the core, he’s powerless.
Meaning Kang weaponized the multiversal core, and he’s drawing energy from the core itself.
Same as when Wenwu gained energy from the 10 rings.
Now the rings' energy changes to orange when Shang-Chi wears them.
This orange energy is also inside the engine core.
When Scott goes inside the core, there's another ringed sphere that glows with orange energy.
And when Scott is there he begins splitting into countless versions of himself because the core creates a probability storm. This is because the core gives off multiversal energy.
This sphere looks exactly like the 10 rings when Shang air-bends them into a sphere shape.
Doug: So the 10 rings and Kang’s rings are the same?
    Well, that is unclear.
But it’s more than just visual resembles, Kang’s rings function very much like the 10 rings.
Kang is represented by circles in the movie, which connects to the circular nature of time.
Even the structure of his quantum city looks like it’s based on the 10 rings.
It’s possible that the 10 rings are a slightly different variation of Kang’s rings from another universe.
The multiverse is filled with Kang variants, and each one of them looks slightly different from the other.
They are all multiversal travelers so it’s likely they all possess their own ringed machines.
So the 10 rings could have belonged to a different Kang variant who left them on Earth a long time ago.
The simplest explanation is that a Kang variant traveled to Earth 616 at some point in the past, he died and eventually Wenwu found the rings.
Wong, Carol and Bruce, determined that the rings are very old. Yet for somehow neither of them has ever seen or heard about these rings.
This could be because the rings are not relics from the ancient past, they are from the far far future.
The Kang variants are from the 31st century, so their tech is so advanced that it looks like magic to the ancient people of the 21st century.
Also, Wong explained that after Shang activated the rings, they sent a beacon.
The rings might be sending a message to other Kang variants, like the council of Kangs.
And that beacon inside the rings looks a lot like the inside of the multiversal core.
On top of that, when Wong analyses one of the rings, it separates into multiple layers of rings.
And that’s just like the many layers of Kang’s rings.
But we think there’s more to the rings, a lot more.
The origin of the 10 rings was never fully explained.
According to legends, Wenwu found the rings in a crater or stole them from a tomb.
Wenwu wore the rings for a thousand years, they granted him great power and made him immortal. Something similar is happening with Kang’s blue energy.
More importantly, the rings have only been activated after Shang used them.
When that happened, the blue energy of the rings turned orange.

Since the Shang Chi sequel will reportedly be entitled "Shang Chi and the Wreckage of Time", I support this theory. Some Marvel Studios executive producers and screenwriters already said that Kang will be in some part of every up incoming project in some manner, so it's not unreasonable to assume that at least a version of him will appear in The Wreckage of Time which is supposed to come out before The Kang Dynasty (reportedly). I still think that the Fantastic Four will be the real key to restarting the multiverse at the end of Secret Wars after Franklin Richards (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) summons Galactus to eat the dying multiverse, but this theory works also.

I Agree FF is itegral to Kang's Defeat or lack thereof. I have a theory There will be alot more dramatic tension between the avengers and FF when they find out that the leader of FF is the ancestor to the dude who's whopping all they asses. That could be the point of the second civil war, whether or not it is ok to kill Reed Richards to prevent Kang but the Ace up Kangs sleeve is the knowledge of the coming of Galactus and the fact that ONLY Reed Richards can develop the tech needed to defeat Galactus (The Ultimate Nullifier) So if they defeat Kang they seal their fate with galactus. I think it would solve the MCU's villain problem and we can still have variants of Kang keep popping up in the MCU even after this saga is over.

What if Kang "The Conqueror" from Quantomania was just destroying universes that had started incursions, and he was doing this sort of how "He Who Remains" pruned all alternate timelines, except Kang the Conqueror did it more viscously so the counsel of Kangs exiled him. What if The Conqueror was trying to prevent what he who remains will eventually do, because if you watch in Quantomania when Kang is explaining to Janet what happens and shows her the multiverse projections, he holds up in his hand the Sacred time line and says, "I know how it ends" meaning that he knows what he who remains is going to do, which is destroy all other time lines except the sacred time line, and what if the Conqueror is only trying to prevent that from happening, and none of the other Kangs see what he's talking about.

I have two theories a wanna share with you.
    1. I think the way to defeat Kang is by having a "Sacred Timeline" that only focus on getting rid of all Kang variants instead of keeping just one alive. He Who Remains said it himself, the TVA works. He himself was getting rid of the other variants that way and seems to be the plan of the Kang variant we saw in Quantumania. We just need our heroes to figure that out. Everyone has a bit of the puzzle. They just don't know it yet.
    2. I think the 10 rings and the bracers are actually Kang's armor left in the main 616 universe and the signal the rings are sending is actually the same that Cassie was sending in Quantumania. Now, IF that Kang variant really did survive at the end of the movie, it means that he is in a Schrodinger's box which means that every possibility of that Kang variant exists. Which also means there is one who gets out. Then he'll just pick up the signal, get his armor back and wreck the house.

Maybe this is due to the rings( and how time is a "circle) constantly passing each other which creates jump points to move about as each ring is partitions of the timeline. I wonder if this means Shang-Chi may also have the ability with ten rings, and this is why the rumored title for his sequel deals with time as well.

I think MCU Asgard is just an alien planet, but Greek and Egyptian gods definitely live in different dimensions. They just MEET in Omnipotence City, but they don't LIVE there. They have multiple dimensions, like the Duat or the goddess Bast's Ancestral Plane, that's mentioned both in Black Panther and Moon Knight. We also saw Bast in Omnipotence City. Note that Greek and Egyptian gods are immortal beings billions of years old, while Asgardians have a lifespan of 5000 years and can actually die in battle. Asgardians are mortal aliens who somehow got godly powers, not "actual" gods. That's why they don't matter that much in Omnipotence City.

It may also help explain how her time travel didn’t create a branching reality, thank you for the content that is created at screencrush.

The World engine orb is the soul of the celestials. Go back to Loki last episode look at all the models and you'll see when he shows how two variance were making a world engine, you'll see a globe of the world where India is scooped out
So basically these two variants figured out that if you use the heart or the soul of celestials you can travel through the multiverse. It's right there plain as day when he's explaining it to Sylvie and Loki.
And isn't it weird that the world engine orb and housing looks like the baby gamora in the gondola scene of Infinity War where it reflected in the pool. So basically there's a soul in the center of the machine and it's the celestials.

Nicely done (especially well-done considering you didn't try to shoehorn in either a "WHAT?!" or a "...somehow Palpatine returned"). I could definitely see them as being Kangtech left by HeWhoRemains along the road he paved.
Though I could imagine that any Kang who managed to get his hands on them would be able to do much, much more with them. The bangle allowing the user to go back and observe a moment in time without interfering would be very useful in managing the flow of time and creating a record of everything said and done (like HeWhoRemains using a bangle or bangle-like device to observe and re-observe events in time over and over to create the recorded script of how his meeting with Loki & Sylvie would go). It could also allow someone to observe the results of countless choices and probabilities.
HeWhoRemains says he's "lived a million lifetimes." Kangtech like the bangles and the ten rings could have allowed him to do that: to live/observe and relive/re-observe moments along the road to know which choices resulted in the outcomes he wanted in order to properly "pave the road."

Connections are undeniable. Phase 4 was a really good setup phase for 5 and 6 and everything we'll see in the future. Even standalone series such as Moon Knight and Knoshu will make sense when we see them in the Kang Dynasty. Anyways, If we collect all those breadcrumbs piece by piece from movies and series, we might have seen the Skrull version of Kang (from the council of Kangs). He probably came to Earth thousands of years ago and started a cult around him (as much as always he does, like Rama-tut did in ancient Egypt or the Conqurer did in Quantum Realm). So, the people who obeyed this Skrull Kang named the cult "Ten Rings" which was perfect sense because people knew those rings were powerful objects. Then Someone or something attacked the cult and killed everyone with Kang and the cult has been forgotten for a long time until Shang Chi's father Wenvu found the ten rings and saw the flag. Started his own cult. And Clandestines found the bangle then realized that they were able to travel outside their dimensions to another one and vice versa.

Honestly when I saw how the movie ended with Ant-Man in Kang my first thought when he got sucked into the portal and the explosion and whatnot was how it resembled almost exactly how Darren cross "died" in the first Ant-Man, when every found out in this movie Donnelly did not die he was just sent to the quantum realm which again has always been explained as its own individual round outside of time and space below the existing Realms in multiverses. So I immediately said to my wife as we're walking out of the movie is that is how the Dynasty and Secret Wars is going to start because not only did that not kill Kang, all it did was , along with his some of his tech, sent him " down" to and ultimately created a brand new realm basically like the Quantum realm but somehow, and possibly because of the earth Portal being open or having the coordinates to earth 616 saved from Cassie's machine he's been able to connect to and influence how that Multiverse AND timeline has been progressing and also having seen first-hand what Ant-Man as well as this version of The Avengers had done knew they would be his best shot and also a great way to distract the council of kangs, and then also because America Ferrera is the only person in the Multiverse as explained in the last Doctor Strange movie that can travel between the multiverses without causing incursions because she is the only version of yourself there are no other versions of her that exist also why she can't have dreams. So instead of pruning all the timelines like he's been doing, more efficiently by also using the avengers as his "weapons" to destroy the council of Kangs, then once they are all destroyed he could then freely without causing any incursions travel between and CONQUER every remaining timline or just create his one true timeline.

  • @Whatisright

I think the core taps and draws power directly from the quantum realm. A more efficient version of Luis' van. The core's also connected to Kang's mind and thoughts so he may be able to travel where ever he imagines. The 10 rings in his possession are probably far more than we know now. Another built in fail safe is they prolong the life of the person that has them. They may also seem older because they were made outside of time and space. Being from beyond, they and the wearer are not affected by time and space. Maybe they allow for direct manipulation of time and space when also linked to the chair and orb. In all his travels and conquering there's probably no doubt Kang came across an Eternal or Celestial yet to be birthed and studied their tech. What it's made from and what powers it.
