The Fastest 60-70 Campaign Leveling Route in Dragonflight

- While there are many ways to level quickly in Dragonflight, you'll be forced to fully complete the campaign on your very first character. In this video, I'll explain the most efficient route that allows you to fully complete the campaign while reaching level 70 at the exact same time.

Update 7/6/23: This guide was originally created with campaign leveling in mind, but I'm in the process of working on a new video for Adventure Mode leveling in Dragonflight. I'm assuming with the way things are now things have changed? I read your adventure mode guide however I'm lvl 63 with rested used without even doing any of the campaign. And then there's dreamsurges. I already chose to speak to Alexstraza from the map at waking shore. Is it worth doing the campaign on alts because I would rather not. :D Seems like with Dreamsurges you might be able to bypass a lot of the current guide and next week a special Timewalking thing is happening.
@@nuke2099 The adventure mode guide on my site should explain everything, and I'm releasing an additional video about dreamsurges within the next few days. TLDR don't build your route around them, they're just a bonus.
@@Harldan1 Tbh I don't have a route. Already lvl 63 with a alt and that's just from doing a couple intro quests and mining. I don't think a route is needed with Dreamsurge on top of this etc especially when I don't want to do campaign stuff again on a alt. If I didn't stop playing earlier I probably could have gotten my warrior to 70 this evening. Next week has the new Timewalking thing as well.

so you dont even need to finish the camp on alts and have access to full dragon riding. this has been one of the best alt leveling experiences ever

How effective is it, especially leveling a tank or healer, to do dungeons in between or mostly instead of just leveling?

this is really fantastic but I did everything exactly as you show and killed every rare and ended the azure span at lvl 68 with only 1 bar so im not sure what happened but overall its really good.

Is this guide still up to date? Just wondering cause i have 4 or 5 more alts to up from 60 to 70.
I tried to level my first alt 60 to 70 just by instinct (cham ele) and it took me about 1 week, 2-3 hrs per night. So +/- 16 hrs to level 70 (no dungeons)
It was fun but not for doing this another 5x over... Hopefully following your guide will help me (altho its quite complicated to follow, even on an alt ;-) ).
And how about time-walking dungeons? I just discovered that doing 30min of time-walking dungeons (while in Chrome-time and having the weekly TW and full rested heirlooms) got my alt from 55 to 60 in less then 30min... absolutely crazy!?! ;-)
thanks for the guide,. but sadly i took A lot longer than 4 hours. dont know how you managed that. took me close to 10 hours just doing the campaign and the side quests you mentioned just to get to 69. Also the simmering chest wasnt there :(
In fairness, it also took me 10 hours on launch, largely because everything has been a bit of a shitshow so far. 4 hours is what you can expect under ideal circumstances and once you have a lot of practice.
Dude, why do you kill things so fast? I'm leveling ret paladin and it takes me 15 to 30 seconds to kill a mob....
I leveled another alt and some how I managed to skip the entire quest chain that starts with 'Wrathion Awaits'. the first time i went ot the Citidel was when I did a profession quest. when i hit 70 the dailies opened up and i was able to choose between wrathion and sabellion. BNut as I said, i never did the chain that had you walk into the citadel and do all the quests in there. I was only able to do the weeklies. its weird. I downloaded BTWquests and it says i have done the whole chain.. so some how ive bugged it. so snnoying
It took me 30min to unlock all the glyphs using an in-game guide
I see you mention skipping some of the side quests but do these side quests provide rep? I'd rather grind the rep my first time through the zone.
I'd suggest grinding rep on your first playthrough where you have to go through the campaign. On alts, you can skip if you want.
@@mattvieth3836 Well I just found out that Renown is NOT account wide. 🤬Only the rewards that are listed as account wide but for things that are not, you have to grind it on alts if you want it.
can you do a video for alts? with first craft bonuses etc.?
I've been working on it, unfortunately a few recent features are bugged, so I'm holding off on that video until Blizzard gets everything working.
Do you think just completing the main questline will be enough to ding 70 with the 50% xp buff that is active now?
Just switching from classic to retail and will use the lvl 60 boost 😊

okay got 70 super fast with threads but a lot of quests are still story locked.
Hey I was just wondering... while following your updated leveling guide from 1-60 im always atleast 3-5 levels short from about level 22. Did you not account for the XP change or am I missing something?

you probably missed one of the following : war mode, 18th anniversary buff (not availble anymore) or winds of wsdom buff (not availble anymore)
What UI addon do you use? Ive been looking for something like that

But what if at LV 60 ( done the campaign on my main, this is an alt) I don’t want to do the campaign again… or quests for that matter…( also besides the subject I thought the factions are levelled on the main than the alts have it as well.. :( but looks like they don’t ) and just do world stuff and pvp and dungeons and world stuff… ? Can you provide an alternative for those type of players? (*me)

@@samharper1082 I'll still be streaming my run and attempting to do a fast solo speedrun. I just find the idea of a "world first 70 race" to be silly. Who cares about using every possibly exploit to get an imaginary title? I just want to hit max level and start doing endgame stuff.

how do people possibly know the best route to level before an expansion? you dont know the maps, xp values of quests, or mob xp. im not being rude, its a genuine honest question.

I am new to the game and this campaign is literally unplayable. I came there with a gear score of 130 after questing. This is literally designed for heirlooms. It is objectively an utterly disgusting and tedious experience have you leveled by questing because everything is fine until you hit level 60, then you hit a brick wall. Had I known this I wouldn't have bought the retail expansion. If I want to have a tedious levelling experience or had enemies I play dark souls or classic
I agree it's poorly tuned, but you can get a ton of gear for really cheap off the AH.
Yeah I got over it by doing a few dungeons. Terrible drop rates in those but a couple of opieces of new equip and I am immediately god mode again. It's crazy how broken holy priest is tbh lmao. Next time I will take a look at the AH as I didn't know this, so thx for the suggestion. And happy new year! And thanks for your guides, even though I did far from a speedrun and watched quite a few cutscenes out of interest, it helped me a shit ton getting to know what to do when where for efficient leveling.
I had all heirlooms and I remember hitting DL and feeling how real it got. I find myself lost alot of the time and the game just seems buggy. Also I can't access the dragon customization.
The rat race of getting there faster... Why not enjoy the ride no matter how long it takes.
Did you ever consider that some people enjoy speedleveling?
@@Harldan1 Yeah. I used to be one of those. Not with just the game but in life in general. Then I realized it is a rat race. And that by just rushing to the end result, I missed enjoying the ride.
You… you know that people enjoy games their own way, right? Also, Harldan has already done most of this content on the beta, and a lot of people aren’t super interested in the story of WoW. You seem very pretentious.
@@abjak2026 From what I have experienced, no one who rushes to the end line enjoys anything. On the contrary, those are usually the ones being toxic to other players or fellow beings.
