I’m probably an odd one out, but I actually enjoyed the whole thing! I even occasionally go back and do the maze/puzzle at the end just for fun (with pen and paper). I enjoy puzzles and stuff like that! 😅
Lucid Nightmare was an awesome experience. I LOVED the whole thing. The maze took me about 45 minutes to do when I did it. Such a cool thing to do in game.
I did it in real time when the thing was unfolding. I remember everyone on discord looking for clues and then when we all got into the maze everyone was sharing maps and tips and all that and Sharing screenshots when they get it. Such a cool memory!
Same! I went to do the last step the maze part and the add on that ever guide recommended was broken and didn’t load or do anything. My brother and I who I was getting the mount with decided to race each other to the finish. I mapped it all out on a pad of paper and he brute forced it and just ran randomly around until he got them all. I think it took him 2.5 hours longer than me lol
I did it in real time when it was being discovered. I remember arriving from work directly to discord to see what new things had been discovered and even trying things in my own and then getting into the maze and everyone sharing maps and things on the chat. It was one of the fondest memories I have from WoW to this day!
The respawn on the crab item is 7 mins I timed it during my go at this mount. While you are waiting for the respawn you can fish for coins while you wait, you can also fish up the crabs themself aka free summons of sir pinch alot. You can also join questing group in the forbidden reach to layer hop for more summons. FWIW, each summon of Sir pinchalot has a 90% chance to drop 1-2 coins of the dragon isle(copper, silver, and can even gold) for the person who summoned the rare, or a 10% chance to drop a Draconic recipe in a bottle for the summoner of the rare, which can be opened and the recipe sold on AH to fund more Crab purchases. You are also able to loot your first coin off the ground in the Great swogs cave just to the right of the great swog npc. I recommend doing this first as it has a low chance to be a silver coin and an even lower chance but a chance still yet, to be a gold coin thus preventing you from needing to collect any more! Hope this helps you all get this mount with as little farming as possible.
@@Faeyeful I can confirm that silver coins do drop, I looted a silver during my go at this mount. There are a few reports on wowhead saying that they received a gold. I think RNG has failed you this time friend. Just means your gonna get that lucky somewhere else. Personally I had over 100 casts for the whiskefish and my brother got it in 37
So I decided to farm out Otto , took me 13 hours to fish up 72 coins and then as a slap in the face I fished up a gold coin right near the end of my farm.

Unlocked Highmountain Tauren.. got a Mount as well .. yay !(you get one for unlocking any of these races, they all have a special mount that's linked to them) 2 weeks later the patch went live and now you can do 3 allies races in like 30 minutes 💀🥲🥲 pain 😂 but on the other hand its definitely a nice thing being able to unlock them that fast now

If you are here and want to do Lucid Nightmare, PLEASE read this: None of the add ons work anymore for the maze. They haven’t been updated in years. I highly highly recommend that you draw your own map, squares for the room and lines for which direction you went. Draw an X on each side of the room that has a closed off door and color in each room with the color of the orb or circle in that room and label it orb or circle room. The most IMPORTANT thing to do is make sure you label which walls are blocked off in each room. I finished 4 of the colors which made all of them disappear so I thought I had nothing to figure out where I was in the maze and was lost for 15-20 minutes just randomly running. Realized I could figure out where I was based off which walls were closed in each room I went in and based that off of my map to figure out where I was. I was able to track exactly where I was because of this and finished it.

To be honest I absolutely LOVED doing the Lucid nightmare maze. And i really wished I could do it again. I did it with pen and paper and felt like it was so much fun... Now I can see I am the only one xD I wished Blizzard did more puzzle mounts like this tho
You can cheese the 4th boss in Mechagon by running back to the entrance during the channel until it finishes. You'll outrange the instadeath blast, then you can kill it like normal.
actually kind of sad arcanists manasaber is so easy to get now, I remember working really hard for it because it was my favorite mount in the game that I didn't have
I'm never sad that others don't have to do [hard/frustrating thing] that I had to do! I'm glad they don't have to suffer! For more than a day, you can grind out the mini events in the cavers for like 1-10 coins to turn into bobbles. My server dies on the event about 5 hours after reset on tuesday and I'm at work so that was super unreliable.
If you have renown 27 with the Tuskarr, you can also open the Tackleboxes for a chance of any of the 3 coins :) and those things are literally everywhere lolol
I remember in WOD when I tried to farm the corrupted fire hawk (i wanted pure blood but thought it'll never drop so a purple one would do) but couldn't because back then I had no friends :C to do the only the penitent achieve. Then in Legion they finally changed it so that it became solable even if u were playing a fast class like dh or warrior (hero leap) and I finally got it (though I find 2 ppl to do it with me).
You can get coveted baubles just by doing the events that give you clinking bags, like the one where you hit a wagon to move it to Loamm or the smelly pot in Loamm. While they don't give many coins (I think it's 1-4) they do add up over time.
I got squawks after 10 runs of island expeditions on mythic, and was able to buy a crate after just 11 runs. Takes about 2 hours to farm dabloons but def worth it to me if I got that lucky.
THE FIRELANDS ACHIEV IS SOLOABLE?! You have no idea how long I've been trying to get a group to do it only to screw up the timing. I genuinely forgot transcendence existed, I use it so rarely on a monk that already has 3 mobility abilities. Especially including "how to reset if you screw up the timing" so I don't need to wait another week is H U G E. edit: *BIG ISSUE THOUGH: THE ORBS WILL BUG IF YOU'RE KNEELING WHEN YOU CLICK THEM. UN-KNEEL, CLICK THE FIRST, THEN CONTINUE CHANNELING THE SECOND UNTIL THE ACHIEV PROCS. IF IT DOES NOT, YOU FAILED, EVEN IF THE ACHIEV DOES NOT TURN RED.*
I am curious, I tried Mechagon solo on mythic. When I got to HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit, I did exactly what you described and it didn't work. As a druid I got up there very fast to start the cast, yet I kept getting stunned no matter how I stood there or even worse, while standing in the centre getting ported for whatever ready, eventhough the bots with the circles around them where nowhere NEAR me. Just curious to know what I did wrong? Other than that, your video was very helpful and made me get 3 more mounts easily.

I'm not sure if anybody said this yet or not but the thing about the trial characters do you unlock the Arcanists manasaber you have to have the most recent expansion apparently. Otherwise if you don't you'll get an error that says login is restricted on this character
I know that random things happen, but the theory about fishing between the two Dracthyr for Kingfin, The Wise Whiskerfish might actually hold water (no pun intended). I decided to try it and got him on the FIRST cast. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I'm putting my money on "it helps." Either that or they nerfed it right before I got there.
I did Return to Karazhan, not only did I get the Emberwyrm solo, Midnight also dropped. This was also my first time running Return to Karazhan. I am a god.
i made a miskate and make a lvl 10 norm char for the arc mansaber mount can confirm still works mount up dragon as soon as you zone in an fly to the cave
About the Aerial Unit R-21/X: I've run the hardmode with about 20ish people as either duos or trios and I've *never* seen the mount *not drop* so I'm suspecting it changed to 100% somewhere along the way
Lucid nightmare was a fucking nightmare to obtain because i decided not to write a map for the maze thinking i didnt need it and it proceeded to take me 8 hours from the start of the riddles to obtaining the mount. The sun was going down and when i finally got it. The sun was rising haha back when it first dropped. Good memories.
Yeah the new method is weird, I heard about it like 6 days ago and tested it and it worked fine but not sure what caused it to work. The old method still works fine for speedy classes though, you just need to run the split second annihilation ray goes off and get to the boss before it goes too far from its room
I did the maze part for the lucid nightmare as DH and it let's you jump over some of the rocks blocking the paths, did it in about 15 minutes with the addon, would highly recommend it. (Unless they changed it.)
For for mount hunters that look for special hidden mounts. I was thinking, has anyone ever looked throughly into Kezan? The Goblin start zone. Cos you het ONE Kaja Cola as a quest reward, which is a shitty +2 int buff for 10 mins. But this is Cata so Blizzard should be past giving us shitty buffs on a short timer, and the buff flavour text says that it "gives you ideas". So i was thinking cos you dont have to consume this buff right away, i reckon there is an event or series of events somewhere on the Island to intiate a hidden mount (maybe the Hot Rod? Or Gallywiz's mech? But i reckon you're not supposed to consume this until the start of the event. Find something that sparks an idea, or series of ideas, and the buff will react if you get them all in time. And the reward is that your big idea was a new mount. Just throwing out ideas. I was just playing Goblin yday and the buff is so out of place. Maybe you're supposed to locate them all over several new chars (several buffs) then finally make one last one to run them all inside 10 mins
For all my explorers out there if you want an easier way for lucid nightmare maze and you know how to break through walls you can just skip through to where you need to be
Couldn't believe the day i was skimming the old looms vendor (in Org by the bank, not Shatt or on top of the gate) and he had a purple Al'ar for sale for basically no gold
Can vouch for the crab method, though note *it has a cooldown.* The place where you use the item respawns every so often. If I hadn't used that method, I would've STILL only been halfway to getting it at this point in the expansion. Still no idea if maxing out fishing skill or the fishing luck stat (perception?) did anything at all to that drop rate and darn near went mad trying.
Don't listen to the guy when it comes to the number 1 spot you will literally get stunned and teleported back to the beginning in the fight against the 4th boss
I mean you can see me not getting stunned, it was a method I was told about as I use to advise the outrange cheese instead. Just not sure what is causing some players to get stunned and others not

All mounts are, if you think about it, are reskins. The best ones, in my opinion, are the ones that have some actual functionality, like the Mammoth mounts, with their vendors on them, which allow player characters to survive in the wild without needing to visit a town or city.
No. Different mounts have different models and rigs in addition to the varied animations. Some mounts can get through certain doorways that others can't, for instance. Your comment is categorically false.

I would love the otter- but honestly it's way too much time. And I am a collector. This is actually more time and effort than getting the Legion legendary fishing pole. Temperamental skyclaw is a generic version of my Legion hunter mount. Cool for people without a hunter. I don't use it regularly though because of the horrendous, nerve grating scream my hunter does every time she calls it for use.
Do you have any way in getting your ui addon fixed for an ultrawide resolution. Your ui looks great in game unfortunately the aspect ratio breaks a few of the addons. Where can I go around searching for a fix?
The reset for the orbs does not work as i have got them to respawn. also im not sure what i did wrong as i was able to click on both but nothing happened
i tried corrupted firehawk, shannox is not doable or im too stupid...he uses face rage all the time and i cant move. when face rage ends and im able to move 1 step, he directly uses face rage again...

Hey have any gotten this problem, i was doing the otto mount. and i got to the last fish i had to get in algethar . when i got it , it did not go to my inventory but for some reason i could still click on my barell so i did. after i clicked my barell disappeard aswell like what. i tried to go back where u get the mount but no luck, and now i cant even start the quest line again .
It's funny how 'hard' it is to get gold coins. I just...played DF while it was current, and over time I accrued enough to go to the swog! Didn't even try. But I guess that's why it's so hard now - it DID take me a long time of playing, I just wasn't focused on it, so I didn't realize.

I'm stumped on that "only the penitent" achievement. I finally did everything right on my monk and seemingly managed to activate the second ball before the spell hit and I still didn't get it. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong...
click the first orb, give it a moment before you move and then head to the second one, the second orb needs you to channel for a bit longer of a time for some reason so the timing to get it right can be difficult
@@Syiler I did it! I stopped trying with my Monk and decided to give the arcane mage method a try. Got it on my first go! All that was left was that stupid bucket list achievement. Had to take a bunch of perk points away from my paladin so that his hammer throw would only kill one enemy. Took out rageface and off to the races I went. It was so dang tedious, especially after I accidently aggroed one of those big two headed hell hounds. Still pulled it off though! LOL! The mount is awesome. I hope I'll be able to do some more "glory of" achievements in the future.
trying to solo "only the penitent..." on my DH but when i get to the second orb it won't properly channel and the achievement fails. i was well within the time limit of the cast timer so idk what's going on with that. if anyone knows whats up i'd love to know The reset method for this is a godsend but has not let me get any closer unfortunatly

I think the Arcanist's Manasaber is one of the easiest yet. I had recently unlocked the nightborn. Can't believe the mount is even free, lol.

Ikr, I grinded for hours during BFA to unlock all the allied races. Two days ago, my boyfriend unlocked everything in an hour or so. Lame.

i did the "kneel" achievement in firelands on my hunter and had no problem
I tried it twice... the reset tactic didnt work and the first orb didnt click for me for some reason, well waiting on next week i guess

On the Paracausal flakes if you have 500 on an ALT you can buy an account bound box and send to your main. seeing as mounts are account bound..

As a druid I got up there very fast to start the cast, yet I kept getting stunned no matter how I stood there or even worse, while standing in the centre getting ported for whatever ready, eventhough the bots with the circles around them where nowhere NEAR me. Just curious to know what I did wrong?

unfortunately the Lucid Nightmare Helper addon hasn't been updated since patch 7.3.5 and no longer works.
I'm not sure if anybody said this yet or not but the thing about the trial characters do you unlock the Arcanists manasaber you have to have the most recent expansion apparently. Otherwise if you don't you'll get an error that says login is restricted on this character
Its important to note that the mounts can be dropped from the weekly reward chest. I got the black gryphpn from it.

I know that random things happen, but the theory about fishing between the two Dracthyr for Kingfin, The Wise Whiskerfish might actually hold water (no pun intended). I decided to try it and got him on the FIRST cast. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I'm putting my money on "it helps." Either that or they nerfed it right before I got there.

About the Aerial Unit R-21/X: I've run the hardmode with about 20ish people as either duos or trios and I've *never* seen the mount *not drop* so I'm suspecting it changed to 100% somewhere along the way
Firelands mount can be done with 90% of classes.

Lucid nightmare was a fucking nightmare to obtain because i decided not to write a map for the maze thinking i didnt need it and it proceeded to take me 8 hours from the start of the riddles to obtaining the mount. The sun was going down and when i finally got it. The sun was rising haha back when it first dropped. Good memories.
standing in the middle still stuns you, and if you try to do the other method the boss respawns (i tried this on a DH)
Yeah the new method is weird, I heard about it like 6 days ago and tested it and it worked fine but not sure what caused it to work. The old method still works fine for speedy classes though, you just need to run the split second annihilation ray goes off and get to the boss before it goes too far from its room

I did the maze part for the lucid nightmare as DH and it let's you jump over some of the rocks blocking the paths, did it in about 15 minutes with the addon, would highly recommend it. (Unless they changed it.)

For for mount hunters that look for special hidden mounts. I was thinking, has anyone ever looked throughly into Kezan? The Goblin start zone. Cos you het ONE Kaja Cola as a quest reward, which is a shitty +2 int buff for 10 mins. But this is Cata so Blizzard should be past giving us shitty buffs on a short timer, and the buff flavour text says that it "gives you ideas".
So i was thinking cos you dont have to consume this buff right away, i reckon there is an event or series of events somewhere on the Island to intiate a hidden mount (maybe the Hot Rod? Or Gallywiz's mech?
But i reckon you're not supposed to consume this until the start of the event. Find something that sparks an idea, or series of ideas, and the buff will react if you get them all in time. And the reward is that your big idea was a new mount.
Just throwing out ideas. I was just playing Goblin yday and the buff is so out of place.
Maybe you're supposed to locate them all over several new chars (several buffs) then finally make one last one to run them all inside 10 mins
For all my explorers out there if you want an easier way for lucid nightmare maze and you know how to break through walls you can just skip through to where you need to be

Can vouch for the crab method, though note *it has a cooldown.* The place where you use the item respawns every so often. If I hadn't used that method, I would've STILL only been halfway to getting it at this point in the expansion. Still no idea if maxing out fishing skill or the fishing luck stat (perception?) did anything at all to that drop rate and darn near went mad trying.
Don't listen to the guy when it comes to the number 1 spot you will literally get stunned and teleported back to the beginning in the fight against the 4th boss
I mean you can see me not getting stunned, it was a method I was told about as I use to advise the outrange cheese instead. Just not sure what is causing some players to get stunned and others not

for the aerial unit mount, do you have to press the button before killing the boss or no?
I would love the otter- but honestly it's way too much time. And I am a collector. This is actually more time and effort than getting the Legion legendary fishing pole. Temperamental skyclaw is a generic version of my Legion hunter mount. Cool for people without a hunter. I don't use it regularly though because of the horrendous, nerve grating scream my hunter does every time she calls it for use.
Do you have any way in getting your ui addon fixed for an ultrawide resolution. Your ui looks great in game unfortunately the aspect ratio breaks a few of the addons. Where can I go around searching for a fix?
The reset for the orbs does not work as i have got them to respawn. also im not sure what i did wrong as i was able to click on both but nothing happened
Reset works fine just be quick after delist and you need to click and wait a moment before going to next orb

i tried corrupted firehawk, shannox is not doable or im too stupid...he uses face rage all the time and i cant move. when face rage ends and im able to move 1 step, he directly uses face rage again...

Hey have any gotten this problem, i was doing the otto mount. and i got to the last fish i had to get in algethar . when i got it , it did not go to my inventory but for some reason i could still click on my barell so i did. after i clicked my barell disappeard aswell like what. i tried to go back where u get the mount but no luck, and now i cant even start the quest line again .

It's funny how 'hard' it is to get gold coins. I just...played DF while it was current, and over time I accrued enough to go to the swog! Didn't even try. But I guess that's why it's so hard now - it DID take me a long time of playing, I just wasn't focused on it, so I didn't realize.

I'm stumped on that "only the penitent" achievement. I finally did everything right on my monk and seemingly managed to activate the second ball before the spell hit and I still didn't get it. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong...
click the first orb, give it a moment before you move and then head to the second one, the second orb needs you to channel for a bit longer of a time for some reason so the timing to get it right can be difficult
@@Syiler I did it! I stopped trying with my Monk and decided to give the arcane mage method a try. Got it on my first go! All that was left was that stupid bucket list achievement. Had to take a bunch of perk points away from my paladin so that his hammer throw would only kill one enemy. Took out rageface and off to the races I went. It was so dang tedious, especially after I accidently aggroed one of those big two headed hell hounds. Still pulled it off though! LOL! The mount is awesome. I hope I'll be able to do some more "glory of" achievements in the future.
