It would have been better as seperate videos. It's nearly impossible to tell where he is, what his map shows or what he's actually doing. And it's impossible to seek within the video to rewatch or pause on the frame he might show his map because the timing bar is SO TINY.

Just wanted to say thanks. I haven't played since the end of BfA and before that, I was an avid mount collector. When I quit back then I already had nearly 500 mounts. But after coming back with multiple expansions inbetween, there's a ton of mounts I miss again. This list helped me greatly on my way to be caught up again. So, thank you! I think I bagged ~5 mounts within a few hours thanks to this tutorial. I'd not known about the Garrison mounts. And I went ahead and finally ground out the Dreamsurge mounts as well. Also started on Korthia turn in mounts.

Ah, the Arcanist Manasaber. Brings back memories in Legion. That mount was the whole reason I did the full Suramar questline and fought Guldan via Raid Finder with my old paladin main (I've since switched to a Void Elf rogue, though she did the questline too since I made her back in Legion). Heck, I'm pretty sure I did the Suramar story multiple times (at least 3) because it was arguably my favorite part of Legion. That manasaber was my main mount up until I got the Teldrassil Hippogriff, which ironically made getting the Cenarion version a lesser priority as I finally had a hippogriff mount (well aside from the flameward one, which I strangely rarely used). Slight tangent, but the Teldrassil Hippogriff is part of why I mainly play Alliance since I don't really like the Undercity Plaguebat. Whenever I play Horde is when my manasaber sees more use.
first rare mount I got was during lich king from an egg. I didn't even know it was supposed to be rare, and I bought the egg hoping to get a pet, so then told everyone who saw the mount how easy it was to get. my guild leader at the time loved mounts so he began buying the eggs, and ended up with 2 years worth of tikki birds, and I learned some rather interesting curse words in the process since we'd all be in vent when he opened the eggs my husband had got 1 rare mount in years of playing. then one day while I was in darkshore killing rares and hoping for pets I felt bad for him. I mean, here I was at home being my lazy self while he was at work. so I logged on to his account, and put his toon on follow with mine. then took him to darkshore. killed 1 rare, looted, he got a rare mount. the quest required 10 rares so I went looking for more. 3 rares later, he got another mount. I texted him and said he got 2 rare mounts. he was happy. a couple of weeks later I did the same. logged on to his account, but this time I took both of us to arathi highlands, where he gets 2 more rare mounts in less than 10 rares. when I told him his reply was, "I have better luck when I don't play the game than when I do" :D
@@darkstorm2579 a couple of other stories that come to mind I used to play with some friends I met while we all played diablo2, then moved on to wow (still talk to them all these years later) so we used to do all kinds of stupid stuff which included kiting a dragon all the way from tanaris to orgrimmar because as I was told, "why not". One of the guys in the group wanted the tiger from the raid in strangelthorn vale, so we went there. by now it was lich king, we didn't need that many in the group, so we thought 3 of us could do it. we had a tank, dps and I believe I was a hunter. not that it mattered, I never made it there. tank and the dps got there and went straight for the tiger boss. since I wasn't there, the dps said brb and left. tank got bored, killed the boss, and the tiger mount dropped, so I told the tank to give the loot to the dps, who was still afk and then wait for him to come back. by then there was no point for me to go, so tank and I began talking. dps eventually came back, asked what dropped and the tank and I told him it was just a bunch of nothings and we had given him all the loot. he then looks at his bag and saw the mount and was beyond happy. told us he got the mount, we said he didn't. he then linked it to us as proof and we reminded him anyone could do that. it was no proof he had it. no clue how long this went on for, but it was funny to see him link the stupid mount in party chat over and over again. yeah, we're jerks lol I also got the horse from stratholme while looking for transmogs. because, "it doesn't matter how crappy my gear is as long as I look fabulous". Got to the last boss, joked that, "this sonofabitch better drop the mount". looted and there was the mount. my next comment was, "if I knew all I had to do was curse I'd have done this years ago".... and yes, I still look fabulous, and my gear rather sucks :D
Recently found you and as a collector player this video makes me incredibly happy! I live for farming things in wow and I can’t wait to grow my mount collection with this video! 40 mounts so far my goal is to have 150+ by 2025. Quite the goal, but hopefully I’ll have as many available to me in a few years time!
Thanks to you (for getting me started) I have a total of 453 mounts. And at that, I always must watch your videos. Every single time, I see several mounts I still don't have and must work towards. Today's peach was the manasaber. That was a quick one to get. I would have never thought about using the class trial for this. I've never used a class trial. I've noticed it on my character creation page but never used it. In any case, I have a lot of Legion mounts to go after.
you can also get the stormhide salamanther from a vendor in Morqut Village which is a little more convenient since you’ll be there farming the currency anyway
UPDATE TO THE OPERA HALL IN KARAZHAN: they "fixed" it recently.. and now the only way to get past toe knee is to one shot him. idk about the other types, but don't be like me and spend an hour trying to do it the old way and wondering why it isn't working.

My brother was running me through Karazhan for the Ember Wyrm and it took 3 runs total for my drop. Each time we ran it we would also kill the Huntsman to see if either of us were lucky… to my surprise on our last attempt before getting the Ember Wyrm mount, I got the drop for Midnight……. I felt terrible but I had to take it. It’s the only lucky dungeon/ raid drop mount I’ve gotten so far 😂

3-4am GMT seems to be the best time to find rares, but it's an extremely early wake-up call... I get that anyway because I have greedy cats and once I'm awake, I find it hard to get back to sleep and once I do - I struggle to wake up.

Thank you for this amazing guide. If I could help with that info i found about the Unusually Large Mushroom drop. It is said that all mobs have the chance to drop it, but Possessed Tenders and Possessed Keepers in the mid-south bottom of the map, roughly 44, 74 gave me the mushroom in 5 mins. (I saw this thread and I thought i add this here as well so I can help more people to get the frog) ^_^
Nice Video, got there logged out, placed another character on another real there, logged back to the first ... was attacked by some flying bird, killed that and ... that was the effin bird (Zenet Hatchling). Now I only need to wait 7 days.
You only need like 3 quest for Sons of Hodir rep when Northrend Timewalking is active. Doing the intro quests rep will bring you to exalted right away.

i just came back to wow after cancelling my sub halfway through shadowlands and while i wait for the new exxpansion i will farm mobs xd even though i would rather ddo dungeons etc
i literally just got all the available emerald dream mounts (sans the raid achievement and ochre dreamtalon, but the latter is due in a couple days), they're stupid easy to get
Hey man completely unrelated. But I am a mount collector as it is what makes me have fun. I am debating on returning to WoW what would you say which class makes getting mounts the easiest? IE class ability granting certain movements and such.
Unless they fixed it dks can enter the lava pool for the lava snail with anti-magic shell on and when it goes off you will be immune to the passive damage effect.
incredible video syiler though i will say right now at present day hard mode mechagon is more of a annoyance then anything having to deal with the oppresion units buggy self is super annoying
OK more just something I want to say with the Zenet Hatchling yes it is a 100% chance drop but find it your mileage may depend on your server because I have never seen the rare on my server so it might be easier for over servers and harder on overs

Anyone wondering why you cant enter instances in Thorgast above level 1 - You need to do 1st part of Shadowlands campaign. For alliance you need to go to NPC Darion Mograine that is located in Stormwind city on stairs infront of Stormwind Keep. Accept quest "Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons" from him and go to Oribos. For Horde there is the same NPC in Orgrimmar at a crossroad at The Volley of Strength. After accepting the quest you will be guided to Oribos. If you already have played Shadowlands you can skip the introduction(you can maybe do it even if you have not played Shadowlands before, I am not sure) and go straight to picking a covenant.(Skip Korthia quest aswell) After that you need to complete few campaing quest at given zone, depends on which covenant you picked and after that you will be sent to Torghast. (It does not matter which covenant you pick) You need to complete a quest called "the search for baine" in order to be able to enter Torghast above levels 1. This quest is given to you by Bolvar Foldragon and am pretty sure it's part of the campaign, so you cannot miss it. You complete the quest by going into Torghast and doing an introduction sort of a level, where you save one NPC (Baine) at final floor and escort him to Oribos to Bolvar Foldragon. After thats done, you can go farm your flawless achievements :) All this this should not take you longer then 1 hour.
WRT maelie, wowhead has an extremely dedicated commenter on her page called Hefalumpy, who keeps track of both if she's spawned that day and exactly where she is, along with how to reach her if it's tricky. perhaps the true hero of the shadowlands.
Blood dks can solo the magmashell. I managed to do it after popping every defensive I had and rushing in. Died immediately after the mount popped in my collections but it worked lmao
The 3d model of the mount we use wow.tools and record it with a pure green background and then chromakey out the background in editing software. The mount tooltip is grabbed from wowdb or wowhead, depends mount to mount

i have like 440 mounts now. your videos got me into mount collecting again a year ago and since then i got around 150-200

It works if you don't do any dot damage also i was having problems with my dk on that but i just unequiped my weapons and punched him to death

incredible video syiler though i will say right now at present day hard mode mechagon is more of a annoyance then anything having to deal with the oppresion units buggy self is super annoying
OK more just something I want to say with the Zenet Hatchling yes it is a 100% chance drop but find it your mileage may depend on your server because I have never seen the rare on my server so it might be easier for over servers and harder on overs

Anyone wondering why you cant enter instances in Thorgast above level 1 - You need to do 1st part of Shadowlands campaign. For alliance you need to go to NPC Darion Mograine that is located in Stormwind city on stairs infront of Stormwind Keep. Accept quest "Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons" from him and go to Oribos. For Horde there is the same NPC in Orgrimmar at a crossroad at The Volley of Strength. After accepting the quest you will be guided to Oribos. If you already have played Shadowlands you can skip the introduction(you can maybe do it even if you have not played Shadowlands before, I am not sure) and go straight to picking a covenant.(Skip Korthia quest aswell) After that you need to complete few campaing quest at given zone, depends on which covenant you picked and after that you will be sent to Torghast. (It does not matter which covenant you pick)
You need to complete a quest called "the search for baine" in order to be able to enter Torghast above levels 1. This quest is given to you by Bolvar Foldragon and am pretty sure it's part of the campaign, so you cannot miss it. You complete the quest by going into Torghast and doing an introduction sort of a level, where you save one NPC (Baine) at final floor and escort him to Oribos to Bolvar Foldragon. After thats done, you can go farm your flawless achievements :)
All this this should not take you longer then 1 hour.
The Long forgotten Hyppogryph is also easy to become ;)

WRT maelie, wowhead has an extremely dedicated commenter on her page called Hefalumpy, who keeps track of both if she's spawned that day and exactly where she is, along with how to reach her if it's tricky. perhaps the true hero of the shadowlands.

Blood dks can solo the magmashell. I managed to do it after popping every defensive I had and rushing in. Died immediately after the mount popped in my collections but it worked lmao

How do you select the photo with the icon and info for the mount to put it in the video? I think that's from wowhead ?
The 3d model of the mount we use wow.tools and record it with a pure green background and then chromakey out the background in editing software. The mount tooltip is grabbed from wowdb or wowhead, depends mount to mount
