    Great content, you did your research very well. Game wise all adventurers (players) are immortal in a way they are resurrected via Spirit Healers. As others suggested resurrection is whole new topic in this matter and You only mentioned few ways how to do it. Even in Warcraft 3 heroes were resurrected via altars. Its hard to die in World of Warcraft if manage to get some power/will to fight for safety of Azeroth. As if planet itself choose its defenders.
    Peace and love. 💚✌

    Love how you made a video on Immortality while dodging the dicey topic of Resurrection. Though to be fair most people would like to pretend that shadowlands lore didn't exist. Many of the quests that touch on the topic are there, and until Blizz clarafies what's cannon and what's not, it probably will continue to be a dicey topic. But that said, if it is true, then Illidan was very much mistaken about the player characters.

    I think it would be easiest to live forever as a warlock.
    You simply run a pig farm. Drain the youth from the young pigs and stay young yourself and get adult pigs that you can sell to the butcher.
    And it might even be completely legal and safe, which nobody would probably mind because you're not doing anything bad that other farmers wouldn't do. Except that your pigs “grow up” much faster.

    • @StormwindUniversity
      @StormwindUniversity  Месяц назад

      That's a great idea 😂 Even the most novice of warlock could stay young forever relatively easily.

      Guess this pigs meat from a warlock would not give you much life force (nutrients).

    Forsaken only live 20-30 years according to lore. That’s why Sylvanas and her Val'kyr conducted the dark mirror ritual with Nathanos cousin Stephons corpse to „immortalize“ Nathanos.

    What always confused me was how Khadgar got aged so much by magic. Maybe that is what would happen if some mage would fail to keep their's anti aging enchantments..

      Medivh had magic'd his age up, Khadgar didn't actually become old. He just appears that way. Only very recently has he seemed to start aging in a way that aligns with his appearance.

    • @PatrickMorin-f4j
      @PatrickMorin-f4j Месяц назад +1

      Medivh hit him with a spell that drained his life force. Aging in WoW is tied to your life essence.
      Warlocks are immortal if they reverse their aging through the draining of life or consumption of souls.
      Death aligned beings (undead) are immortal because they steal life essence to survive.

    Great vid. Resurrecting characters has been trash in wow since bfa. I thought the forsaken made sense cuz u would be resurrected as a wretched corpse and all of them would be somewhat more evil versions of their former selves. But now you have this entire "well we can be resurrected and are exactly the same as before but we stink a bit". Why dont we just resurrect everybody with the light and some valkyr and they all join the alliance. Bring back uthers yellow soul into his body, bring back antonidas, hell bring back saurfang while you are at it why not. Thats why bringing back nazgrim as a death knight made sense

    • @StormwindUniversity
      @StormwindUniversity  Месяц назад

      Thanks! Haha yeah exactly, honestly if they can bring back such n such character then they might as well bring back other classic characters as well like you said Antonidas or Daelin maybe even stir up some controversy and bring back Garithos.
      Very interested to see what happens in Midnight in regards to older characters being put forward.

    • @tamas9554
      @tamas9554 Месяц назад

      This was more or less just as stupid as other some other things dating back as far as WC3. Why not resurrect Uther to be a death knight? Antonidas to be a necromancer alike to Kel'Thuzad? It makes no sense, they would have become powerful tools for the Scourge and its never touched upon in the story.
      Truly the magic systems of WoW were never that great. Remember how the shamans and druids of the Horde couldn't heal Vol'jin from being stabbed by a literal basic Felguard? You saying this particular side of the lore has been trash only since BfA is quite amusing if you really think about it :D

    Well now that the Nelves have their tree again and Nozdormu has his powers, why doesn't he give them immortality?

    • @StormwindUniversity
      @StormwindUniversity  11 дней назад

      You're right, he totally can give them immortality again. Maybe they deserve it too for what they've had to go through recently. I''ll probably touch on this on my night elf video I have planned for the future, need to do some research.

    • @Junglewarfare
      @Junglewarfare 11 дней назад

      @@StormwindUniversity Yea I'm wondering if Nozdormu's power from azeroth = same power from Well of Eternity. If that's the case, he certainly can give immortality to them again.

    • @StormwindUniversity
      @StormwindUniversity  11 дней назад

      @@Junglewarfare Another thing to think about is the nature of their individual powers as aspects, because each of them got titan related powers like Nozdormu got time magic from Aman'thul, but if his power comes from Azeroth now is it still time magic. I'm assuming it is because it's already a part of his nature now since his original empowerment and Azeroth just replenished it?

    • @Junglewarfare
      @Junglewarfare 11 дней назад

      @ Interesting. Is it replenished or something different entirely? Was that mentioned and I missed it?

    • @StormwindUniversity
      @StormwindUniversity  11 дней назад

      @@Junglewarfare I don't think it's mentioned, just that they have their powers as aspects again but maybe it is replenished since the Titans wanted Azeroth's world soul to be born a Titan maybe Azeroth is just that powerful to do that?

    The Wild Gods aren't immortal, they can just come back, not the same thing. And it's not even their choice, I do not blame anyone trying to forget SL but the whole Ardenweald story was about wild god resurrection.
    After slain, their spirits which are deeply intertwined with the Emerald Dream, travel into one of the wild pods of Ardenweald where they will be tended and restored. Through the Emerald Dream they can manifest back on Azeroth.
    But in the case of Ursoc, after getting downed in the Nightmare by players in Legion, his anima was sacrificed and him completely lost.

    • @tamas9554
      @tamas9554 Месяц назад

      I mean, those in Ardenweald were killed though. We never had any Wild God just die of old age as far as I remember, every single one of them somehow got killed. Malorne was killed by Archimonde, Cenarius by the orcs, but even Xuen could have died by the hands of Lei Shen when they fought.
      So in truth I have no idea where are you getting at with this comment, because your reasoning doesn't disprove Wild Gods truly being "immortal" by the definition of the video

    • @themonolougist
      @themonolougist Месяц назад

      @tamas9554 The video was calling them immortal in a reductionist way. They are not immortal, needing to spend sometimes thousands of years sleeping and someone can just pull the plug on them.
      I wouldn't call that immortality

      Wild gods are spiritual and energy based. Like elementals and those in the shadowlands. They exist in a different plane of living or undeath. Look at Ragnaros' death or Ursoc's death. All planes of living and undeath can be "killed" or destroyed in their planes of existence. Same with demons. As long as you kill them in their plane.
