    I LOVE the whole Kreya, Nihilus, Sion, Malgus, Revan “situation”/period. I know SO little about it, for all the info there is for it, but just the fact that there’s a point in time where all these massively powerful infamous sith are all around at the same time, and intertwined, not just happening to all exist at the same time. I’m surprised that with all that unparalleled dark side power, that the force wasn’t just almost inconceivably one-sided, but that the jedi were even able to survive, or at least stay connected to the light side at all!

      I also dont know much about it. But are those soth powerful when compared to sidious? Or is sidious just on a whole other level? Cause sidious took down the jedi at thier prime. • @andrewpaige1194
      @andrewpaige1194 Год назад +12

      @@yoloswaggins5385 TRUE canon(lucas era/PRE-Disney) has palpatine being super strong, but nothing compared to ancient sith(everything everywhere that mentions it, talks about how modern sith and jedi are generally not even comparable to ancient ones, with the exception of Luke, who is the full embodiment of the light side), and even though the new disney garbage makes sidious WAY overpowered, out to be an actual god, which is absurd, BUT unless they ruin star wars even MORE, by bringing specific ancient sith into THEIR canon, and retconning them to be weaker, even if u decided to go with Disney canon overall, palpatine still can’t match the feats that ancient sith did. Disney garbage(the true NON-canon) might state that “sidious is the most powerful sith ever”, but that doesn’t work, because like with so many of their changes and just new ideas, it’s totally contradictory to TONS of stuff, not just the 40+ years of Star Wars lore before them, but including their OWN stuff, cause they clearly just hired toddlers to write and direct all their stuff.
      Anyone who goes by Disney Star Wars as the actual canon has to literally disregard EVERYTHING that Disney didn’t do, even including the first 6 movies(making only the new comics, tv shows, and episodes 7,8,&9 canon!), since even THOSE are contradictory to each other. They also have to accept they Star Wars now doesn’t flow well or make a ton of sense.

Dude created a side empire in his spare time and then steamrolled the Republic and the Sith Empire at the same time. And that’s on top of being something like 1500 years old with the power to dominate literally thousands of Sith Lords with his mind simultaneously. I mean shit, the Sith Emperor even bested both Revan & Malak when they went in search of the puppet master who manipulated the Mandalorian War with the Republic. And it’s not like those two were slouches by any means

      Samuel L. Jackson’s Nokia bursts into a sudden fit of buzzing and chirping on his coffee table, disturbing his phlegmatic moment of sitting cross-legged. “Muthafuka…” he mutters under his breath, as he reaches for the sputtering, robust receiver. It’s George. “What does THIS mothafuka want?” he asks himself. He pauses. His thumb caresses the black pleather cover of his mobile device as he dithers. Samuel wrestles with undetected ambivalence as he decides whether to ignore this mothfucka that just interrupted his time of sitting cross-legged, or answer the mothafukin phone.
      In an instant, a caucasoid, elderly feminine voice invades his black, empowered grey matter. "They will die a death that will last millennia, until all that remains is their code, their history, and in the end…” “What in the crackajack fuk is this bi**h talkin bout?” Samuel L. Jackson’s internal dialogue interjects. The voice drones on, “the shell of their armor upon the shell of a man, too easily slain by Jedi…”
      The phone still blathering and rattling across the surface of the table. Jackson still thumbing its protective case, just as unnecessary as his use of the word muthafuka. “A pimp! Slain by a pimp,” the eerie voice corrects itself. “… with a purple lightsaber.” Samuel L. Jackson squints.

    Revan was the chosen one. The prophecy came true twice, with Revan and Anakin. Revan brought balance. He fell to the dark side and destroyed the Jedi (just like Anakin). Then he was redeemed and killed the other Sith lord (Malak, just like Anakin killed Sidious).
    Also, I find it interesting that the two Jedi who killed Mandalore himself (although Jango wasn't a true Mandalorian) both wielded purple blades. It's possible that Traya's prophecy also came true twice, with Revan killing Mandalore the Ultimate, and Windu killing Jango Fett. Both are also among the top 4 most powerful Jedi ever in my opinion (my list would probably go Revan - Luke - Yoda - Windu).

    This just makes me think that shatter points are almost like fate points where things that need to happen do so when they need to. When Mace Windu uses one to defeat an opponent, this information suggests to me that he was always going to do so. He just gets to see the "behind the scenes" action because of his ability. Maybe this is the force exerting its will on the universe in an autonomous way

  • @Totenlieder

    In legends Luke and Jacen both figure out shatterpoint by themselves, and Luke even teaches it to Jaina too. I don’t think it an inherited ability, I think you just have to be very in tune and strong with the force to unlock the ability to use it. And there aren’t many in legends stronger in the force than Luke and Jacen/Caedus

    In Legends Shatterpoint cold be taught, and in the Shatterpoint novel, Mace outright states that every Jedri Master, at some point develop the ability to some degree, and in the NJO, Luke learns it from a recording from Mace o a Jedi Holocron he recovered, and teaches it to Jaina Solo in order of preparing her for their final duel with her twin brother Darth Caedus.
    What is said in the Shatterpoint novel about the Shatterpoint ability, specially Mace's extremely high level in this avility. Is that even though it can be taught to some degree, only people who develop or inherit this ability naturally can achieve Mace's level of seeing not only the Shatterpoint of things, or the immediate cosequences actions, Mace, Luke and Traya could see Shatterpoint in situations and not only about their immediate consequences, but they can see their long term effects, they could see the Shatterpoints fluidly and changing as situations evolve, and also the far reaching consequences of these ever changing fault lines.
    That's why I the begginingof the novel he says that in Geonosis he was right, but made the a questionable decision, because he saw that at that specific point in time and space, Dooku was the Shatterpoint of the whole CIS and of the Sith plans as well, if he had put aside his feeling for Dooku, who he viewed as a close friend, and killed Dooku there, there would be no war and the Sith would fall once more. But his feelings and respect for Dooku, kept him from drawing his blade pointing to him, so when he reveals himself on Dooku's booth on the Geonosis Arena, he draws his blade and points it to Jango Fett, and that was his greatest mistake, but he also thought he was right I not attempt killing Dooku, because. he thought he couldn't kill Dooku and keep his emotions in check at the same time.l, as dangerous as Dooku was as a Dark Sider, if Mace eventually turned to the Dark it would be way worse.

      ive never really thought about this, but the more i think about it, this makes perfect sense, but at the same time, Yoda also works perfectly as an opposite of Sidious, in terms of being fully in the dark side, and Yoda being fully in the light, they are both old, but what confuses me about who is more of the opposite, is the fact that Sidious beat Yoda, but Mace beat Sidious, an opposite would likely end in both of them dying or a tie, what do you think?

    • @cannagli
      @cannagli 2 года назад +5

      @@juliannnnnnnnnnnnn My thinking was more along the line of the poetry between Sidious and Windu after the fact. To answer your question a tie would be more likely as the force needs balance of dark and light. The script was more towards Yoda being Sidious' rival, but over time it seems that duo was more out of convention. The fan fiction unwilling to believe Windu would let himself die and not get revenge on Sidious shows Windu has become an unofficial rivalry of sorts (think Holmes/Moriarty, Batman/Joker, or Hulk/Wolverine). I had similar feelings about how the Trilogies also had a Kenobi sub narrative. From his point of view instead of Skywalker as Kenobi was a consistent observer, which would have been completed if Rey was his grand-daughter and not Sidious'. Though the story took a different conclusion of course (yet is Rey's mother perhaps a Kenobi who found a kinship with the son of the former emperor as two people, whom the force skipped a generation and could relate to each other due to that fact - just a thought).

    Just a note here I believe she was talking about Luke and boba not mace and jango, evidence to my thinking is in her statements. "All there culture embodied in a shell of their armor". Jango's armor is pristine and very much reflects the pride of the mandalorians. Meanwhile to look at the state that it is in while boba wears it, it seems to be a "shell" of its former glory. I agree that "upon the shell of a man" means a clone. But that too would more closely fit boba not jango. Jango was proud defiant and not only did he seem full of life but went out in the mandalorian way fighting a worthy opponent. Talk about a life fulfilled. In contrast look at the broken mess of Boba's life from the moment he picked up his father's helmet, you can feel the echo of hollowness created in the boy. But the real kicker is this statement. "To EASILY defeated by a jedi". Mace and jango was a fight it started on a balcony and involved a back and forth. However easy mace made it look jango got some hits in. Luke escaped disarmed and arguably defeated boba without a sweat. And the circumstance of his death by han turning around smacks of easy. Also let us remember until book of Boba fett that man died there... yes I know in legends he escaped but there were always conflicting stories about that. Also from other stuff kriea says she always seems to be hinting to movie stuff not legends stuff. Lastly before the clone wars and before rebels which this game is made boba and jango were the last of the mandalorians. They only really exist as a concept. Because of boba fett, and kriea was talking about there end/death, in that prophecy. Which until those shows was fett in a sarlac pit... just one man's opinion

      "They will die a death that will last millennia, until all that remains is their code, their history, and in the end, the shell of their armor upon the shell of a man, too easily slain by Jedi." - Darth Traya. Exact quote, no mention of lightsabers or colors. But as I said just one man's opinion, Evidence above. And with the vagueness of the prophecy it very well could be a "bring balance to the force" problem of interpretation. I however sighted why I feel it fits Luke and boba better than mace and jango. I could be very wrong I'm just stating what I see... from a certain point of view.

    • @irishK6566

      @@NakedNinja-gt9ck even without talking about the lightsaber, Boba was not a Mandalorion. He was only a clone of a Mandalorion foundling and wore the armor. I believe even the game recognized that difference.

      @@irishK6566 which fits the quote fairly well. No mandalorians just a shell of a man (see clone) in a shell of THEIR armor, not his I mention. Who was taught as a young boy their history and code. But never really followed it. I say that's a bang on description of boba fett. Not jango who we can definitely both agree on that as far as the prequel trilogy is concerned is the last mandalorian. But kriea seems to be talking about the death of every thing they are. which given the time line of when the game came out means boba in a sarlac pit. Also how could you call jango a shell of a man. That guy lived life to its fullest whether it was training clones or killing 6 jedi with his bare hands (actually happens in the comics). That dude was all that is mandalorian. No hollow shell need apply lol.

Regardless. Interesting question. I think if you knew of a prophesy it would allow you to make decisions to where you could be more than what it was should you make conscious decisions.

    VERY dark theory
    "I suffered... Indignities..." Was an implication of rape. You said Shatterpoint is inherited. Maybe Treya had a child from that event? A child she'd undoubtedly abandon somewhere. That child maybe survived and led to Mace Windu's lineage thousands of years later. It would explain how they both have Shatterpoint and why Treya/Kreia is so often depicted with purple sabers

    I never understood the balance argument. If you make the sith win, there is no balance. If you make the jedi win, there is no balance. If you kill all jedi and all sith, that's not balance either. Balance doesn't make sense, it should not be about balance it should be about peace. That's why the good guys should win.
