The Daughter is Light, the Son the Darkness, and the Father the Balance and Harmony. But Abeloth, the Mother, is Chaos manifested, and that is more terrifying than any Sith imaginable.

@Antolin Algorri he point is there is light and dark side. she is dark side now. once man learns how to love he also learns how to hate. and if u wanna be light and don't have a strong body/root...you might get swept away by the darkness and fall in depression.. Abeloth is a representation of the Force in its purest form: a near-omniponent and omniscient presence constantly at war with itself and, to that end, subtly manipulating and sapping the "free" will of all beings it touches. Kreia warned us about this.
Yeah, but then this wouldn't be a super tragic story you could put dramatic music over. Seriously though, this is a pretty weak story. Character reasonings just don't make sense and there is never an explanation on where the woman came from. It's just very dumb and contrived. They wanted to make a tragic monster without actually thinking about how she got to the monster state. A random woman just appears with no exination on a planet Father chose specifically to get away from other people, yet he unquestionably takes her in? The weirdest part is that there isn't some twist where she was a creation meant to infiltrate The Ones home, or something to that effect. She's just... a random woman who was blindly accepted and then foolishly tried to gain immortality without the assistance of her immortal family. She knows the Son and Daughter didn't drink AND bathe to get immortality, so why did she go far overboard and do both? Very bad story telling.
@@Miriam_J_ think of it this way. It is mostly a folklore story of millennia old multi cultural often conflicted religion. To have a crystal clear and well defined story wouldn't make much sense for the wider story
I don't think so. I feel like The Father is an embodiment of the force as things should be. He would say it is the way of things to grow old and become one with the force again.
@TrolleyXLakers - Jordansexual stopper they each are their own sequels. Actually several story lines interact with each other or can interact with each other. Before Disney bought star wars, George basically said "make your own cannon" (outside of the movies)
@TrolleyXLakers - Jordansexual stopper that wasn't really what I way saying but what's ridiculous about Jar Jar having a father? What is he some celestial being?
@TrolleyXLakers - Jordansexual stopper yeah I've seen it. A small side story really isnt a big deal. The good content of legends outweighs the bizarre. Can you even bring up anything else besides that?

She would seek out those who controlled the story of star wars and destroy their galaxy forever. Her first victim was an innocent employee at Disney land called Mary hyns. Her second was a producer named Kate Kennedy who was close to Stephen speilberg. She took her form and started calling herself Kathleen Kennedy. It would be sick if Abeloth captured Sidious's essence before he became one with the force like Luke's former lover and is using him as a front in the 9th episode, but that would just be to complicated
Jack Dudley '21 Ummm... they were a race of force absent beings that were massive technophobes that brought about the destruction of the New Republic and attempted to tear apart the Galaxy at large. How are they bad?
Its interesting actually, Since Darth Nihilius feeds off of the force, He might actually be one of the few who could defeat her. Ofcourse the hunger he would get after defeating her would almost certainely kill him but :P
@@thewarlock539 I agree, actually his power and what he turned into is almost like how one would change like how Abeloth did. They were once both mortals, now dark side entities, both feed off the force. My theory for the current ahsoka show is that baylon is being called out to by the mother or one of her avatars and that she’ll be the main threat for a while. I think she is the “many arms in a cold embrace” that the bendu predicted would be Thrawn’s defeat
I believe she is going to be the Force threat aka Vader while Thrawn is the non force threat aka Empire. He'd basically act as an Avatar/errand boy to aboloths, spreading her madness throughout the Galaxy. But idk it's just an idea I had

If the Son is the embodiment of the Dark side, the Daughter is the embodiment of the Light side and the Father is the balance between them, the Mother must represent imbalance or embodiment of corruption.
Daughter = Light Sin = Dark Father = Order Mother = Chaos All are necessary, have their place, have their flaws, and must find a shifting yet measured balance to prosper. From families within a home, States/territories within a nation, parts within the body, moods within the mind...all require balance
I would rather them make it so that sideous accrual screwed the galaxy by causing a civil war and being so power hungry that it made everyone vulnerable to the vong
It's so weird learning the history of the Killiks after first seeing them in the Dark nest trilogy. The idea that they are not only from Alderaan but also built centerpoint station is bonkers, honestly.
Exactly. She initially was a very pure-hearted woman who just wanted to save her family from devolving into chaos, only for herself to become the very embodiment of chaos incarnate.
@@NCRVeteranRanger Ironically, her becoming chaos incarnate was the very thing that made The Son and The Daughter put aside their differences! In a very twisted way, she got what she wanted but that came at a very, very, very steep cost!
@Bo~Sannos Lots of Star Wars villains are pretty tragic. Maul and Vader are obvious choices, but A'Sharad Hett for instance also went through a lot of crap that turned him evil.
@@gardevoir7137 Not even sure what that means but I'll have you know I've been watching Star Wars since I was 6 and adored the prequels long before all the haters jumped on the bandwagon thank you very much. Secondly the only thing shit about Disney Canon was the Last Jedi and the sub par Battlefront games. Force Awakens is an ok film at least that's only major sin is playing it too safe but other then that it actually had a decent set up for the next film only for Mr Rian to throw that set up all away to try and make a standalone film in the middle of a trilogy. Other then that the Comics especially everything related to Vader has been great, the shows have been great, the books have been great. Of course there hasn't been as much in comparison to the original EU but trying to compare over decades worth of lore to barely a decade of Disney lore is really unfair. My only real gripes with the new lore is how quick the Empire fell and I know Operation Cinder played a big role in it but come on they could've easily made the galactic Civil war last a couple more years, at least Mandalorian looks like it'll be bringing back the Imperial Remnant. Besides all that I'm not an idiot, I won't blindly scarf down every piece of Star Wars media Disney churns out without looking at its quality but I won't be a hater and doomsayer crying "Star wars is dead" and what not. Star Wars is eternal doesn't matter who owns it, Star Wars will always be Star Wars, that's that.
We could have seen Luke’s revived, greatly improved Jedi order face a terrifying being of eldritch evil, but instead we got a meandering non-plot that, at best, rehashes the Empire vs Rebellion with half the logic behind it.
@Winging Eye What, is that your answer to any logical argument? Because "bla bla cry" is not really a valid response to Geostomp saying that we just got a rehash of the Empire vs Rebellion plot. Hell, there's a book series where the Empire regroups in the Unknown Regions, but do you know the difference? It doesn't rehash the Rebellion! It is all the New Republic! Also Luke totally River Songs someone. It's called the "Thrawn Trilogy," you should look it up.
My son loves star wars but hates the sequels. When I told him about Abeloth and how she is so powerful and evil and the sith were forced into an alliance to stop her, he said that should have been the storyline for the sequels. Abeloth is absolutely fascinating. She is neither light nor dark but a physical manifestation of chaos.
Imagine it. An open world rpg that takes place that happens after abeloth destroys most of the galaxy. The main plot of the game is to destroy abeloth and bring back life itself. I won’t say anything bad about ea if they made it.
OR, OR, just a thought, maybe her seeing that Disney would acquire Star Wars in the future is what drove her mad to begin with? I know I would wanna make the universe my bitch and destroy it if I saw that shit. Whole place was gonna go to hell regardless.
In an alternate universe: Star Wars VII: The New Jedi Order (focuses on the Yuuzhan Vong War) Star Wars VIII: The Dark Disciple (Jacen Solo's fall to the dark side) Star Wars IX: The Fate of the Jedi (Abeloth)
They missed such a chance. Although they would have had to de-age Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford in the alternate Star Wars 7 to make it look like they were in their mid-late 40s(late 50s-early 60s for Ford, as Han was born in 32 BBY), they still missed such a chance. Ps, they wouldn't have had to de-age the three at all in the alternate SW 8, as they all would have been near the ages of their respective characters(Hamill - 65, Luke - 59; Fisher - 60, Leia - 59; Ford - 74, Han - 72). They missed a huge chance. They also wouldn't have to focus on Leia that much, as she didn't play that much of a role in the Abeloth saga, giving Carrie Fisher time to complete her final project in SW before her untimely death.
Isn’t there a guy who made a series of him remaking the prequels. This three movies could be good material for another three videos in a similar format
@@Hako-. I have to agree that the New Republic era is pretty garbage (except for the Thrawn trilogy), but I recently read Legacy of the Force and I enjoyed it. The New Jedi order, we’ll have to see about that...
When you think about it: the Son was the dark side, the Daughter was the light side, and the Father was Balance and Order. Then Abeloth was Chaos and Discord.
As a Star Wars lay person, I much prefer this continuity. This story about ancient space gods and magic pools and black hole prisons makes way more sense than anything the Disney canon has given us.
That was an awesome story line. Yeah there was a ton of stuff you didn't go over but it was a great story. The sith orb, the lost tribe, the sith in hiding, Ben's sith girlfriend(kind of). They was a rumor that the authors had already done a lot of the writing for the following series, but the house of mouse had it locked away.
She could be have been the reincairnation of the daughter and the son, striking true balance and dealing with abeloth instead of palpatine. But Luke would have to be a true master instead of that coward created by Disney. But honestly, TLJ failed because J.J. wrote a fucking mistery box in TFA. There was no way we could have gotten something good at that point. Yoda: "Do or Do Not. There is no try." They tried, so they fucked up the 2 last movies.
Reminding me once again how the rich lore developed in "Legends" blows Disney away...The only exceptions being Rogue One and The Mandalorian (I dig those, they "feel" like Star Wars)...
This may be hard to admit but quite a lot of EU material is thematically and narrative trash. It's cool what if and universe expanding material, but that's more or less where it stops. Shit like Abeloth is where Legends really goes off the deep end, completely forsaking any and all of the core themes of the star wars films or shows. The only reason people made Abeloth was to cater to a particularly Niche market of star wars fans with grandiose and absurd fan fiction that is fun to read and watch you tube videos about, but would make gutter trash film or Television. Judging from almost all of the comments, no one here knows the first thing about creating a genuinely succinct and compelling narrative. They see overpowered and expanded story-lines and think, this is cool therefore it must be good! It's not. If Rey is somehow a Mary Sue, or a boring character, then just what is this Toothy Bitch? What is her overall Characters point? Her themes? The lessons to her story? Why does she even exist? Is she even relatable? The only relatable aspect about Abeloth, full stop, is that she lost her family. Ok, somewhat relatable. Except her family was a group of immortal force gods that extend far beyond any entrenched logic in Canon (Ik they were in clone wars I still think that was a bit much). Her character exists as a device, a being of unlimited power and potential to test other characters, but that's it. There's no depth, there's no complexity, there's nothing but overpowered fan fiction. There is material in Legends that is absolutely worthy of being canon, and serves as a testament to the creativity of passion outside the traditional Disney/Lucasfilm Wheelhouse. Things like THIS, aren't. Whether people realize it or not, the reason things like the Mandalorian and Clone wars are so succesful isn't because they "Feel" like Star wars, or because they star less women or because Disney wasn't "As involved". It's because the people dedicated to producing that show know how to Write and Direct film and Television better than others. Because they Don't mismanage. Because they know the material better than even we do. The Mandalorian has fantastic Narrative and dialogue choices, and whether people realize that's why it's so successful. People in the Star Wars community need to realize Bigger and More doesn't always equal better.
@@Xistanceowner Abeloth isn't supposed to evolve, but make the people around her evolve, the themes aren't related to her, it's related to the relations between Jedi and Sith and making peace with dead peoples' deaths, since she tries to exploit the common weaknesses she has with others which is attachment as she takes the forms of dead ones, she also affects the peoples' psychology, her power is just a plot point
@@Xistanceowner I would argue that Abeloth as a character shouldn't be measured for her complexity. She can't really compare to a character like Darth Vader, but more to Darth Sideous. Sideous' motives were driven strictly by control almost to a point where he was merely a device to drive the plot of Vader's internal struggles. I would say that Abeloth is similar to where she is an antagonistic force designed to be a device for driving the theme of loss. Her personal motives are reflected and explored by OTHER characters which makes her concept so interesting. Not to mention, the lore is really fun for the Star Wars universe.
its a tragic story of a mother who loved her adopted family so much she couldnt bear to lose them and made mistakes along the way that caused exactly that to happen.
I'm glad you put it out there that this story may never be finished. This series is one of my favorite. Was starting to think you weren't gonna mention Vestara Khai. She was integral to the story line. Great video none the less.
How the hell could Disney throw something so cool as legends to the trash, this is literally gold and they don't even take inspiration in it. Instead they try to re-create the story that was already told to us

Your logic is flawed. Disney got Streaming Services, thus they make money when more people are home. As soon as Abeloth realizes this: Task failed successfully.
This scenario makes Abeloth seem like a hero by saving the Star Wars franchise from Disney’s mismanagement. I never thought such a feat was possible until now.
Legends(EU): legacy of the jedi, show’s Luke’s full power, abeloth the mother of chaos, nexus events, blackholes, mindwalkers, new jedi order, thrawn trilogy, war from another species that came from another galaxy, sith and jedi team up against ancient evil Disney Cannon: somehow palpatine returned
"We will never know cause soon there after Lucasfilm's was bought by Disney" NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Abeloth injected himself into Lucas and sold it too Disney as a curse!
The Son was the dark and the Daughter was the light. The Father was called balance between the two but he was also order as well. Abeloth, as the Mother, was also a combination of the light and dark but instead of order she was pandemonium.
This story is incredibly interesting. Of course a mortal living with immortal beings would want to be immortal to stay with them. This is a great story
I remember early in 2019 when i started reading through a bunch of the legends novels and getting to legacy and fate of the jedi. All I could think of was how angry I was that these great stories that perfectly fit the current timeline of the sequels will never see the light of day again. I finished fate of the jedi and felt empty inside that it was all over. with the sequel trilogy I was actually just glad that it's over.
@Not Todd Howard The whole "toxic fans" thing is non sense. Happens whenever passionate fans dare have a criticism of the way things are being handled. You see it with pretty much every franchise now, they make a bad product, fans hate it, they explain why the hate it, creators/writers attack fans calling them toxic and other names, fans leave and the franchise loses money and begs for fans to come back. But the damage is already done and I honestly dont see star wars surviving in its current form.
Man… reading this literally got me feeling some type of way. My brother use to play these books before bed and I was in love with all the stories that legends had created, the Yuuzhan Vong was my favourite arc, but jeez it’s depressing to know that what I grew up on is not cannon and we won’t even see it in some shape or form. I would have been okay with a Star Wars multiverse 😂😂😂 just leave the books.
They could have made several sequel trilogies based on Heir to The Empire, The Vong War, The Second Galactic Civil War, Fate of The Jedi, The One Sith, etc.
Nice video. Only thing I feel like you missed is the part about force ghosts being trapped by her. It explained why Obi-wan, Anakin, Yoda, stopped appearing and why Anakin Solo, Jacen and others never did show up.

I tend to agree with you. I feel like the deeper you dive into the EU of Star Wars, the more you find it overlapping with other science fiction universe's. The specific focus of its story is what makes it so special.

SL4YACentral pretty sure that’s a different “Maw.” They would point out of Kessel was in the middle of an artificially created collection of black holes. Coincidentally, those two situations happened in the FOTJ novels. A sith called Dyon Stadd tries doing just that, to just meet her thinking she's just a kind, misunderstood person. The moment they were all alone she basically absorbed his life essence. And there's another moment where another sith called Vol starts calling her hideous and unlovable, which caused her to have such a psychotic meltdown that she started pulsating waves of Force energy and destroyed an entire city, killing millions of people. Abeloth is only genuinely kind towards those that she wants as replacements for her family, and even then she'll try to turn them into a monster like her by making them drink from the Font of Power and bathing in the Pool of Knowledge, though I guess this wasn't out of malice, and more because she wants to make them immortal like her.
They seriously need to start making Star Wars Legends stories again. Keep making cannon separately, who cares. Just continue this story because it was so good.

The reality abeloth found herself in was one were star wars was fiction but anything that was done in our world directly affected their world. Though weakened she could still use her version of the jedi mind trick, shape shift and steal the souls of small animals. So she created a plan. She would seek out those who controlled the story of star wars and destroy their galaxy forever. Her first victim was an innocent employee at Disney land called Mary hyns.

There is really nothing interesting about Disney canon, it's all stolen EU material, the EU was completely original and new
This may be hard to admit but quite a lot of EU material is thematically and narrative trash.
Totally agree I love rogue one

Came back to rewatch. This is one of my favorite story’s ever. I think it would be so damn sick if the Dave movie is centered around abeloth 🤯
@@dakotahodgkins4642 Beautifully said, criticism is not hate.
@@dakotahodgkins4642 lol they're trying to make criticism hate speech now 🤣 what a joke we live in
Man… reading this literally got me feeling some type of way.
This is and will always be my sequel trilogy. The REAL Luke Skywalker.
Yesss the real power jedi
They could have made several sequel trilogies based on Heir to The Empire, The Vong War, The Second Galactic Civil War, Fate of The Jedi, The One Sith, etc.
She would be best portrayed by Eva Green!
Holy shit! Why wasn't *THIS* made into a movie?!
Probably to scary for a star Wars movie.
Legends: Abeloth
Disney: ThEy fLy nOw!
I think if you anakin reached your full potential you would destroy Abeloth forever as you are the strongest force sensitive to ever exist.
"They've been using them since the clone wars"
Nice video. Only thing I feel like you missed is the part about force ghosts being trapped by her. It explained why Obi-wan, Anakin, Yoda, stopped appearing and why Anakin Solo, Jacen and others never did show up.
Disney would never use this story because it’s so dark, but this is still such an epic story!!

Yup! And my choice for actress to play her: Eva Green! 😁
@@TWAN330 have you read any of her lore?
She is so powerful and mind corrupting that it makes me want to see Sidious as an ally. She is very much like a lovecraftian horror.
When first presented with this character and her appearance my initial reaction was that she seems too ridiculous for star wars, but then again it's a galaxy of possibilities out there!
I tend to agree with you. I feel like the deeper you dive into the EU of Star Wars, the more you find it overlapping with other science fiction universe's. The specific focus of its story is what makes it so special.
Darth sion
I think most people react like that when they see a sliver of legends material but when you put it all together it flows really well as none are no longer out of place.

Abeloth: You will be my puppet, bitch! 🤣
Wait so you're telling me Abeloth was trapped in the Maw when Solo did the Kessel Run? That's creepy
You know if she was canon
SL4YACentral pretty sure that’s a different “Maw.” They would point out of Kessel was in the middle of an artificially created collection of black holes. It’s just a commonly used term to describe or give a cool name to a dark, forbidden, and incredibly dangerous zone. That would be cool though if it were the same “Maw”
@@mRudie1318 Kessel is on the edge of the Maw, not inside it. It is considered in Legends, that Kessel is essentially the 'main' entry point to the Maw
@@mRudie1318 Nah bro. The Maw is the Kessel Run and yes up until Disney chucked out legends the Mother was in the Maw when Solo did the Kessel Run
PhoenixKnightFlame I stand corrected. Very cool.
What about that tentacle monster that grabbed hold of the falcon during the kessel run in the solo movie? Could that have been disney sort of giving a nod to the mother?

I feel like this is proof that the Mortis arc was real & concrete.
What you consider a "super long video" actually isn't that long and if your worried about people not watching due to that, I feel like your safe to make it as long as necessary. I very much enjoy these videos.
Bruh. They literally imprisoned her on a planet with blackholes surrounding it. Damn.
Yeah, you know you've got a true horror when the gods themselves decide the only way to stop a creature is to literally surround it in a solid wall of black holes so that NOTHING! No matter, no light, not even the Force itself can escape.... and it's only moderately effective.
@@KMCA779 So horrific even Palpatine preferred to keep away from it (it is virtually impossible for someone as powerful in The Force such as himself to not be aware of her existence)!

I held on to the very end and ceased to be a devoted fan after The Last Jedi. It wasn't worth it for me after that. The stories just didn't feel the same. Even with the mandalorian I feel like it's just a facade and that the greater lore of the star wars universe has been lost.

I would have given her a big hug and try my best to calm her. Calling her a beast and making her feel alone isn't the right path to take i think. But oh well. Great video.

Good luck giving hug to something that can give you a heart attack in an instant.
@@mirzahamzabaig5667 nah I’ll give her a long hug and she would be Ight
