I've always liked the evolution of the Ro2 Era sith. Bane saw the line as a way of developing power covertly, with the apprentice having the job of openly challenging and proving they had become superior. By the time of Plagueis, the focus was on subverting power, and apprentices often succeeded their masters by killing them through trickery or guile. Sidious himself got Plagueis drunk to get him to fall asleep after years of his master remaining awake, so he could remove his respirator he required after a botched assassination attempt. Then electrocuted him in his sleep, but even after Plagueis was confirmed dead, Sidious still was afraid of his master and suspected he may somehow have survived. And most lords of that Era thought that they surely would be the final Sith and kept an apprentice only to secure their own power. Bane would not have approved.
I wonder about that, actually. Ultimately, the shift to subterfuge and guile is what destroyed the Jedi Order, not the pursuit of singular strength or mastery of the dark side. Yes, it was a large part of it, but the actions taken to destroy the Jedi during the clone wars could've been mostly done by anyone, not necessarily a Sith.
By the time of Tenebrous and Plagueis, both are described as lightsaber sparring masters, eclipsing any Jedi of their time. Sidious and Tyranus too are some of if not the best duelists of their era. I think the implication is there that they'd grown so powerful by that point in the combative aspects of the Dark Side that they _had_ to resort to subterfuge, and also kept falsely believing themselves to be the Ro2's end goal due to their own power. Drew Karpyshyn confirmed in an interview that Zannah did in fact repel Bane when he attempted the essence transfer. That twitch of her hand was supposed to indicate that the last vestiges of Banes spirit was leaving. I thought the end was vague too. For the longest time I thought Bane was still alive. I'm glad Karpyshyn cleared that up though.
I don't think I'd try to go Sith completely, but... If there are any... Dooku, AKA Darth Tyrannus, is who I'd try to be apprentice to for personal reasons. I’d love to see a show like the upcoming Tales of the Jedi. Only it shows stories with all or some of the Rule of Two Sith. It could be called ‘Rule of Two’ or ‘Legacy of Bane’
My favorite quote from Bane comes from The Tales of The Sith: “The Dark Side not a raging fire. It is poison. Pour the poison into a large body of water and it is useless. But if you put poison in one person, it is lethal.”
My favorite Sith in this list is without question Darth Cognus, i love her loyalty to the rule of 2 and the fact she have farsight and that she is able to understand that her efforts would bring the victory of the Sith and did not let her personal ambition taking over her ideal
A full video needs to be done on Darth Rampage because that short snippet in this video was misleading. Darth Rampage didn’t just attempt to find the secret to time travel, he actually succeeded. Darth Rampages Holocron was found by a Jedi survivor of Order 66 Jax Pavan. Jax used the knowledge of the Holocron against the Empire for a very short time and was able to sense and manipulate time with the Force. Because Jax Pavan was a relatively low level force wielder he wasn’t able to do much with the ability as grand manipulations of time would require a large amount of Force power that he did not possess. However if the knowledge of the Holocron were to fall into the hands of someone as powerful as Vader all bets would have been off. Knowing that the knowledge of the Force Power was far to dangerous for either the Jedi or Sith to possess Jax hid the Holocron and then had his memory wiped, causing the knowledge of the ability to be lost to time. An interesting what if would be if Vader had gotten his hands on the ability. Perhaps he may have been able to alter the past to the point where he was never burned on Muustifar. This would have lead to a Vader who had all the wisdom and knowledge of the Vader we know while still possessing the power of the chosen one. At that point he could have enough power to save Padme, and essentially rule over all time as a Force God. However Darth Rampage and Jax Pavan are the only two known users of the ability of Time Manipulation making it the rarest Force Power in all of Star Wars
The author of the rule of two series realized that the ending was unclear and released a statement saying that his intention was that Zanna had won the final duel with Bane
On this particular list I’d say Bane as a favorite and would have been interesting learning the ways of the Sith/Dark side from him. Zannah would likely be my second favorite from this list/vid.

I like the theory that Darth bane has been the sith for the last thousand plus years and has just gone from body to body to body to body and has somehow found a way to eternal life
@@jonathanhill3668 but Bane fanatically believed that only the strongest should prevail and lead the sith further on. Surely he could have survived for 1000 years, but only if ALL his apprentices had a weak will, which is not so realistic. Thus I believe that bane lost the battle of wills with Zannah and she rightfully became the new dark lord, stronger than the previous one.
I actually strongly agree with it he wouldn't have admitted that knowledge as he would have wanted to always have one ace or more in the sleeve one to have the power one to covet it I mean was literally disappointed she haddent betrayed him earlier also again he also just reimplamented the rule of 2
I like to think that every sith master that fell to their apprentice did so willingly, and thus continually transfer the spirit of Darth Bane into the next generation. This would explain why Sidious (for example) was unnoticed in his infancy, but grew to completely dominate anyone who challenged him.
To answer the question: it seems like Plagueis or Vectivus would be the most genuinely educational masters, so I’d pick one of those two. Some masters seem mostly to torment their apprentices; others seem more interested in consolidating personal or political power than teaching
You're excited to see how Disney will water down, distort, rip off from, and ultimately ruin all these awesome characters as they've done to every other element of the expanded universe they've hamfistedly introduced...? I think they'll still just do a poor job of it, would rather they not bother. Eventually, they are going to have to go back and reboot what they did if they want to keep this franchise for more than a decade, and if that's too much trouble they're going to end up needing to sell it off, they're barely making money. Hell, Solo lost money. And when you do the math on how much they're making, don't forget to account for the hundreds of millions per movie in marketing. Most people leave that out and assume they're making bigger profits than they are. They're not making shit right now imo.
I always found Zannah rather interesting seeing as she is the one duelist that somehow managed to defeat Bane. I'm actually curious to see what Form III Soresu with a Saberstaff looks like in action.
All she could do was twirl her Saber essentially making a shield. Just watch Donatello from TMNT twirl his staff around and you'll have a clear demonstration lmao. She couldn't compete with Bane physically so Bane taught her to redirect blows and wear opponents down to counter when they tired and made a mistake since she wouldn't be able to compete otherwise.
I enjoy the fact that; the ancient sith ways of mass teaching and an army against the rule of 2 and both believable ways for a 'cult' to exist. Very interesting ways to create antagonists
Darth Maul was intended to be a Sith assassin according to Plagueis desire but Darth Sidious clearly lied to his Master and went further beyond in his training do I do consider him a Rule of 2 Sith who had a premature fallout
Yes, and it was heavily implied Sidious actually CARED about Maul because in the Phantom Menace book he is described as having a hole in him after he killed his master whose death coincided with Mauls "death" across the galaxy, Sidious felt "alone" according to him.
@@SeviathTheHumanDrago that and he trained him since he was a boy. He was meant to be successor until anakin. He didn’t expect him to die on Naboo and then needed a stop gap until anakin came of age so he corrupted dooku and used him as both face of separatist movement and apprentice
I agree with you guys. If you read the maul books like lockdown and shadow Hunter it explains as well that plagueis thought of him as just a tool/assassin but sideous didn't feel the same. He's more of a secret/failed apprentice. If you won't count maul then you can't count dooku either in my opinion.
@@hewhofalls777 the thing with Dooku is that even though he may have just been a pawn and place holder for sidious’ ideal apprentice, he was still granted the darth title by a sith master. Maul was only supposed to be an assassin and it was Sidious who granted him the title while being an apprentice himself to plagueis. That goes against the rule of two. By every technicality, maul shouldn’t be considered a Sith Lord. However, some may argue that he held that title for a few moments since it’s believed that when he was supposedly “killed” on Naboo, Sidious felt his death through the force mistaking it as plagueis reaching out to him from death just moments after he had killed him.
Is it, not Reven who created the Rule of Two? In Bane's book Path of Destruction. Bane only learns about the idea of the rule of two by finding Revens Holocrom and Reven explain nature's dark side. We clearly explain why they can only be one master and apprentice or Sith will fail for Weeknes will overrun the Sith by ganging up on strong. Sorry for my bad spelling, I have dyslexia. What do you all think? I agree with is Bane put it in practice.
IIRC Revan’s holocron only provided basic concepts that allowed Bane to come to the conclusion of the Ro2. It really was Bane’s idea. Revan crawled so Bane could fly.
Disney needs to give us a show that explores the rule of two. Something like a show where each season looks at a pair of sith with the final being the death of the master. Could allow for a brief over view and build up to the grand plan
That would be epic. One episode per pair, exploring an important event however not necessarily on a galaxy scale. Each episode narrated by the master, talking about his/her master. 3 seasons, ending with Sidious killing Plageaus
Would be cool but honestly I would want to see Path of Destruction in live action more. It gets across the spirit of the rule of two better than any actual story about the Baanite sith could
It's logical to assume Vectivus was a member of the mining Guild owning his own mine and asteroid belt implies wealth and the Various family's that make up the various guild's in start wars canon so maybie his role was to start Inflitration of non Republic assets ,Hence why he never did any evil his job was to gather information and pass it back to his master who ever that was,Also there's Pictures in the Sith guide showing Devironian master and another Sith twilek master if memory serves me

i always liked darth bane the most, because he wasnt evil for the evilz. He was practical and just wanted to preserve the legacy of the sith. putting his order above himself.
I would love a game or show/movie of darth bane as he took over the sigh and started training his apprentice all the way till he dies. We just don’t see a lot of the dark side and I feel like something like that in canon would be received really well
But I will admit that the rule of two doesn't really make much sense Darth Bane's philosophy was that by having two sith, it would concentrate the dark side of the force. Which sounds reasonable but doesn't make sense Because in the old republic Darth Vitiate / Valkorion / Tebebrae was the most powerful being in the galaxy and in the old republic era there was thousands of sith
@@Kilimanjaro1533 think about it like this, yes the pre-rule of two sith did have a lot of power, but they always ended up losing to the jedi. Meanwhile with the rule of two they got the most powerful sith to ever live, and ended up successfully taking over the galaxy
That was a great video right to the end. My all time favorite Sith is The mighty Darth Bane . I would choose Tenebrous for my Master, Maybe he would build me a nice ship
Question: didn't Lumiya count as Darth Vader apprentice? she went on to train Jacen Solo so both of them could arguably counted in the rule of 2 lineage.
I'm curious about something.... During the Rule of 2 era of Sith when they were going through various Sith Masters/Apprentices. What strategies were the Sith of that time period doing to progress on their grand plan and when did they think was the right time to reveal themselves to the Republic? Why was Darth Sidious and Darth Vader the ones to execute the grand plan and not other Sith rule of two going before them? I mean I'm sure the other Sith lords are just as powerful. Why did it take them 1,000 years to execute this grand plan?
I think it had to do with the fact that each sith got stronger and more capable each time they replaced their master as they learned everything from their master before they replace them, and continue to learn until teaching their apprentice and ultimately being replaced, feeding the cycle. And Sidious and Plagueis had figured out immortality meaning that he'd be able to rule forever as one of the most powerful sith possible.
It's also a matter of amassed resources, I think, and enough time passing to lower the galaxy's guard against the sith. Even to the jedi in modern times, the sith were mostly just a legend. Sidious didn't enact the grand plan by being a sith, if you think about it, what enabled it was political manipulation. That manipulation, in turn, had its foundation in the vast resources of Plagueis as an interplanetary banking tycoon. Across most of these sith lords' stories, you find examples of how they used the force subtly to put themselves in positions of power that become greater and greater with each generation of the rule of two. I don't think that each generation of sith were by default more powerful in the force than those who came before them. Especially since most of them in the stories we're shown didn't take on their masters in outright duels, but murdered them through covert means. Plagueis' inner monologue makes it evident that he doubted being able to kill Tenebrous, and he orchestrated a cave-in to make it happen. Tenebrous' inner monologue meanwhile reveals he let himself die, to enable essence transfer, which then failed due to a miscalculation. Though we have to take it at face value that Sidious is the canonically most powerful sith, since that's been stated to death by the lore, he also didn't duel Plagueis. He murdered him in his sleep. This is probably a pattern that carries across many more of the unnamed ones. If anything, most were probably weaker than Bane and Zannah. Instead, they were amassing financial and political power, until the day one powerful enough, such as Sidious, and by then prepared enough could use those resources to truly see the plan through. The sith only showed their hand and moved to remove the jedi from power after Sidious had already been ELECTED to lead by the common people, and thus turned the entire system against the jedi with seeming legitimacy. Powerful as Sidious was, he was never strong enough to just go to war against the jedi outright. He had to set the scene, and generations of sith before him played their part in that.
The early Banite Sith were focused on quietly rebuilding the power of the Sith by searching the Galaxy for Sith Holocrons and dark side writings/techniques. Over time, the Sith grew in the power of the dark side and began working to sow disorder in the Republic from behind the scenes. In time, the Sith had acquired so much power that they were nearly on the verge of overthrowing the Republic. Unfortunately, however, around this time the Sith came under the control of Darth Gravid who believed that the Sith should incorporate light side teachings into their training. His attempts to do so drove him mad and Gravid began destroying nearly every single Holocron and text that the Sith had acquired throughout the centuries. Gravid was quickly killed by his apprentice, Darth Gean, but the damage was already done. The Sith had to restart from the beginning AGAIN under Darth Gean. However, around this time, the Sith ended their isolation from the Galactic community and began to operate out in the open under various aliases in order to increase the power of the Order. Darth Tenebrous was known as Rugess Nome, a famous starship designer. Darth Plagueis was known as Hego Demask, a wealthy investor and political boss. Darth Sidious was obviously known as Palpatine, an aristocratic politician who became chancellor of the Republic.
If i remember hearing correctly, the reason Maul was not considered a Sith Lord was because Sidious found him far too impulsive to carry on the plan he had for the galaxy. Also, (again if remembered correctly) Sidious never taught Maul the actual ways and teachings of the Sith Lords, instead focusing on making him into a fighting machine as a way to get use out of his impulsiveness (not so different than Tyrannus and Ventress).
@@joshuasands9440 you are ignoring Darth Maul from animations, in clone wars he is the leader of the largest criminal organization in the galaxy, king of mandalore and becomes a threat to both the separatists and the republic, Sidious and Tyranus sent Grevious to kill him. and what do you mean Tyranus is just a fighting machine? Sidious gives him the role of main separatist leader, Tyranus and Maul were full siths and clone wars shows that. as for Ventress I agree in parts, she was in fact more focused on fighting the Jedi (remembering that she clashed with Obi-Wan and Anakin often, as well as other Jedi Knights) than leading and etc, but at the same time she was very skilled, Tyranus's main apprentice and would have completed acolyte training if Sidious hadn't had her killed too.
@@Jaguar1336 There seems to be a misunderstanding. When i was refering to Tyrannus and Ventress it was in the sense that she was trained to be his assasin just as maul was trained by sidious to be an assassin. And yes I remember Mauls achievements as a galactic threat, but that role could be played by anybody, not just a sith lord, so that alone does not necessarily qualify him as a sith. For a darkside user to become a sith lord they had to be trained in the sith arts such as Tyrannus was. Maul never got that kind of training from Sidious because all Sidious saw in Maul was a pawn to be the face of the war to come and nothing else.
@@joshuasands9440 Maul was a sith assassin, trained to disrupt and take out enemies. I do not think sidious ever intended for him to become the next lord of the sith, but given maul knew the greater plot and purpose of the clone wars/ order 66 to some level it does bring up the question why an assassin would need to know this. I personally think there's a good chance sidious led him to believe he would be the next sith lord so that he would not become annoying.
The rule of two wasnt a concept Bane came up with on his own. It was Revan who came up with the concept and taught it to Bane via Revans holocron. So Bane didn’t invent the rule of two, but he was the one that implemented it
I will tell you why betrayal, betrayal betrayal is why the Sith ultimately. I can respect their devotion to power but their lack of discipline and restraint is what ultimately ends them. The Dark Side is used as a shortcut at times and can be used as a crutch at worst. Wanting everything rather than having a defined goal and limit is what brings them to ruin.

What could’ve been. ……now that I think about it, it might’ve turned into something like Tenebrous and Plagueis.
It’s cool that they’re tying in some of the newer characters that we’ve seen, like here that cal met Anakin when he was a padawan, and from tales of the Jedi we saw Caleb Dume/Kanan Jarrus with with Anakin and Obi wan and other Jedi masters watching Ashoka train
I always like the tought of Darth Gravith not actually being driven mad but got later on demonized for his heresy by successor dark lords of the banite order.
I think that you are correct about Darth Vectivus being the master of Darth Gravid. As Vectivus did no evil, it would explain why Gravid went crazy. Also, an old Wookieepedia listing for Vectivus had Vectivus dying 5 years AFTER Darth Gean did. Since Gean was the apprentice of Gravid, I believe that Gravid was the apprentice of Vectivus. Also, the was no Darth Rampage. His name is Darth Ramage according to Wookieepedia. He was a male Twi'lek scientist, as was the master of Tenebrous. I believe that Ramage was the master of Tenebrous.
Wouldn’t it be crazy if the rule of two was just Bane essence transferring every time the apprentice attacked him and he was actually every Sith Lord in the rule of 2

@@nethercords what's rubbish about Bane's chosen apprentice actually fulfilling the purpose he chose her for and proving his own philosophy right? That there's side effects of having shared his mind in her body even just temporarily is at a minimum a given. Maybe he's still in there locked away in her mind somewhere, but it was her personality that was in control when she announced her name. Since we never got a sequel we can never know. She might not exist at all anymore if Disney rewrites Bane's story any more than it already has lol
I greatly appreciate you doing a video on the entire Rule of Two timeline, even though there are some Sith Lords we never really knew about. I’ve been watching your vids for the last couple years, and they’ve really broadened my horizons on Star Wars and taught me some things. So thank you, Stupendous Wave, and keep up the awesome work.

Eeyup.
No, Zannah was her real name. Rain was a nickname that her cousins gave her.
A mini series of Darth Gravid and Darth Gean would be amazing, but I'd also like a zannah and cognus oriented trilogy of books
yes!
Totally agree. Disney has the opportunity to make two bad ass women sith lords. Instead they make a Mary Sue like Ray Skywalker/Palpatine
I agree on the Darth Zannah/Cognus books. I read the Bane Chronicles again over the past few weeks and thought it would be awesome to continue the storyline.
My favorite is Tenebrous, because he's a Bith who's a Sith. A Sith Bith, Jerry!
Now kith
Drew Karpyshyn confirmed in an interview that Zannah did in fact repel Bane when he attempted the essence transfer. That twitch of her hand was supposed to indicate that the last vestiges of Banes spirit was leaving. I thought the end was vague too. For the longest time I thought Bane was still alive. I'm glad Karpyshyn cleared that up though.
I've been waiting for a video like this for so long, thank you

I don't think I'd try to go Sith completely, but... If there are any... Dooku, AKA Darth Tyrannus, is who I'd try to be apprentice to for personal reasons. IRL, I'm quite unrefined and unfocused fue to ADHD, yet love the idea of blade combat and even took up a little bit of a fencing class while in high school. I love Dooku's philosophies to saber combat and how he utilizes Form 2, and hope that these could be starting points to focusing my abilities.
Yeah, and he wasn’t heartless either he legitimately thought that he had a good way of doing things he really cared about people
Love the lore of the sith. Bring me more my lord.
I’d love to see a show like the upcoming Tales of the Jedi.
Only it shows stories with all or some of the Rule of Two Sith.
It could be called ‘Rule of Two’ or ‘Legacy of Bane’

Legends of The Sith
Tales of the sith. Is surely the obvious answer
“BANE”
I love the music you use when talking about the empire or Sith. It matches just how powerful and dangerous these beings are in the wars universe.
My favorite quote from Bane comes from The Tales of The Sith: “The Dark Side not a raging fire. It is poison. Pour the poison into a large body of water and it is useless. But if you put poison in one person, it is lethal.”
Love your work. When I can’t sleep I find your channel and listen to Star Wars lore to relax and fall back asleep
I really wish the Bane books would be made into movies or a tv series.
But, they'd have to stay extremely book accurate.
Careful what you wish for… they might do it and butcher it
As much as I loved the Bane Trilogy, I know Disney would screw it up royally! It's better left in the books.
A TV show would be best, but make the episodes an hour and a half long and follow the books to a T. I guarantee this would save the franchise.
They should just canonize the books, disney would mess up the movie
Agree. That's why I said book accurate. And by that, I mean word for word, scene for scene. Lol
My favorite Sith in this list is without question Darth Cognus, i love her loyalty to the rule of 2 and the fact she have farsight and that she is able to understand that her efforts would bring the victory of the Sith and did not let her personal ambition taking over her ideal
Darth Tenebrous' public persona was Rugess Nome. He was the head of a well-known yacht-building firm.
Actually Starship design!
If I could, I would be trained by Darth Plagueis the Wise. He would've treated me as an equal, and share much information
To be fair, he is the least awful of the Banite Sith, except Darth Vectivus.
He actually seemed like a good dude. Would’ve loved to have a beer and death stick with him

Such is the way of the Sith

I like the theory that Darth bane has been the sith for the last thousand plus years and has just gone from body to body to body to body and has somehow found a way to eternal life
He was the sithari even if it isn’t true.
It’s a bad theory since it goes against the base of the Ro2, which Bane honored

Nope, Darth Tenebrous found his apprentice Darth Plageuis unfit and wanted to replace him
Well, you're wrong.
Funny that the rule of two enforces the apprentice to kill his master and yet we dunno for sure if that was the case for Zannah and Cognus...
Darth Millennial ended up opening an indie muffin store
Darth Bane the Sith'ari is my favorite, and I'm a fan of Darth Vectivus. However I would choose Darth Plagueis the Wise as my master!
To answer the question: it seems like Plagueis or Vectivus would be the most genuinely educational masters, so I’d pick one of those two. Some masters seem mostly to torment their apprentices; others seem more interested in consolidating personal or political power than teaching
The Dark Lady, Lumiya, sounds like she’d have a bit of fun in taking down the Jedi, and she does!
AM so excited to see more sith Lords in the future of star wars

We honestly need a show of the rule of two
I always found Zannah rather interesting seeing as she is the one duelist that somehow managed to defeat Bane.
@@SeviathTheHumanDrago She was also really good at sith sorcery. Something that bane didn't dwell too deeply into. Very based.
And one of the few who actually stood true to the rule.
She lost in the lightsaber duel, but overpowered bane with the with sorcery and after that won the battle of wills
Been needing this
Darth Maul was indeed a true Sith apprentice.
He was just an assassin and a decoy
Yeah rewatch the movies bud
I enjoy the fact that; the ancient sith ways of mass teaching and an army against the rule of 2 and both believable ways for a 'cult' to exist. Very interesting ways to create antagonists
Darth Maul was intended to be a Sith assassin according to Plagueis desire but Darth Sidious clearly lied to his Master and went further beyond in his training do I do consider him a Rule of 2 Sith who had a premature fallout
100% Sidious gave him the title of darth. He was the theoretical successor to Sidious
Pretty sure it was confirmed that Zannah managed to resist the essence transfer, and Bane died at that point.
Great job. Love this video. My apprenticeship would be under Revan.
Disney would just ruin it.
Disney should lose their rights to Star Wars, if I am being quite honest.

You're not in the military.

I would love a game or show/movie of darth bane as he took over the sigh and started training his apprentice all the way till he dies. We just don’t see a lot of the dark side and I feel like something like that in canon would be received really well
Also, Zannah’s original name was Zannah. She went by Rayne for a reason I can’t remember.
it was a childhood nickname
Loved the video mate! Have always been a fan of Vader and Maul, But if I had to pick someone to master me it would definitely be Revan
There can only be two. A Master and an apprentice no more no less.
But I will admit that the rule of two doesn't really make much sense
Darth Bane's philosophy was that by having two sith, it would concentrate
the dark side of the force.
Which sounds reasonable but doesn't make sense
Because in the old republic Darth Vitiate / Valkorion / Tebebrae was the most powerful being in the galaxy and in the old republic era there was thousands of sith
@@Kilimanjaro1533 think about it like this, yes the pre-rule of two sith did have a lot of power, but they always ended up losing to the jedi.
Meanwhile with the rule of two they got the most powerful sith to ever live, and ended up successfully taking over the galaxy
Why did you show Malgus when you were talking about Bane?
I would apprentice myself to Darth Vectivous. I just want to be a chill Sith. Dark side does not have to mean evil
That was a great video right to the end. My all time favorite Sith is The mighty Darth Bane . I would choose Tenebrous for my Master, Maybe he would build me a nice ship
Disney needs to make a Darth Nihilus movie
Question: didn't Lumiya count as Darth Vader apprentice? she went on to train Jacen Solo so both of them could arguably counted in the rule of 2 lineage.
Lumiya was a sith by default. which is fine since she was still trained by a sith, and she carried on their legacy.
I actually named the playlist I have for the darth bane trilogy “rise of the rule of 2”

Darth Zannah beat Bane in the end, wasn’t too much ambiguity about it.
exactly im shocked so many people were confused by the ending

exactly. i still keep finding older stories from the expanded the universe that always makes me happy, compared to the new stuff.
The Rule of Two had one major flaw: Almost every single Sith had to break the rule at some point in order to ensure a worthy successor.
Why? The point was to defeat master and then to find an apprentice. Even if you already found somebody - apprentice shouldn’t involve in the fight.
YT Star Wars: We would be honored if you would join us.
How is Maul not a Sith Lord in his own right? He had an apprentice, he literally controlled portions of and changes the galaxies.
and the most important thing: Maul received the title "Darth", that means he completed the sith training imposed by Sidious.
Darth bane isn't the one who started the rule of two. If I'm correct, bane learned the rule of two from raven's holacron.
The rule of two wasnt a concept Bane came up with on his own. It was Revan who came up with the concept and taught it to Bane via Revans holocron. So Bane didn’t invent the rule of two, but he was the one that implemented it
