Mandy!!! Watching my smart TV and you came on, and I am hooked!!! I already did the chili with the yellow rice and the cheddar cheese soup! what a hit!!! I am still learning and watch you every night. Keep it up!! ♥
Just wanted to say...took your chicken thigh dish in a different direction. Had ground chicken meat and made the same sauce with the spinach and added me some onions and mushrooms and placed on my noodles. really nice and yummy delish.
I got excited when I saw that you posted a new "what's for dinner " video!! 😁Everything looks so good!! Little Gracie is precious!! Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!!
You really do such a great job with your channel. I can tell lots of thought and consideration go into all your videos. Love them! And your family is so precious
The subbie supper was SO GOOD!! I made it last night along with your green beans. LOVED BOTH. This was the first time I have tried one of your recipes. THANKS.
You sound like me! I didn’t know how to really cook for the first 10 years of my marriage. But, now after attending cooking classes. Watching videos like yours. I vamped up my kitchen really cool w toys (vitamix, food processor, good knives, etc.) I find cooking to be fun. Your videos help so much w dinner ideas 💡!! Thanks 🥰
We like to thin out our refried beans with some sour cream and a little water. We also put the tomatoes on before putting in the oven. It warms them just a bit and makes them almost burst when you bite into them.
You are an amazing cook Mandy. I love watching you channel. Your hubby and son are so sweet and handsome y'all are just a beautiful family including your precious fur baby. ❤so glad I found your channel. Y'all and the Moss family are my favorites.
We love to add sliced black olives to our tacos or nachos. *TIP* use liquid from the can of olives for some of the liquid needed for taco meat, it really adds to the flavor! 🌮
The only major improvement of these recipes is using Gold Potatoes instead of dry Idaho potatoes! Golds are so very ,very creamy~ especially wonderful in soups to!! Yummo😋😋
I’m having guests for dinner tonight and wish this Subbie Supper is what I was serving! This is gonna be on my to do list.maybe Catie can send in more recipes! Hint hint.
I understand those days that seem everything goes wrong ! But it so nice to have a simple recipe to do that is still very tasty! The best park is sitting down with my family and seeing them enjoy it! Makes that day so much better. Thanks for all your great videos! Just started my channel And loving it!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your recipes
We do a similar Mexican rice. It's the same recipe but we add a pound ground beef or turkey (whichever you prefer) & a can of corn. spread it into a 9X13, top it with American cheese slices & bake until the cheese it melted.. It's SO good.. I know the american cheese sounds weird but trust me, it's out of this world! It's a recipe I got from my husbands grandma, she called it Texas rice. If you're not trying to add to your dishes pile, I have also kept it in my skillet and just added the cheese & covered it until melted, any way you do it you can't go wrong!
I am always looking for new ways to dress up pork chops, and discovering this recipe, in addition to using thinly pork chops was a game changer for me!
I know that I'm coming in here very very late (blame RUclips for suggesting it now) but on the pork chops... I just cook mine from the start in the oven (no frying pan!). Spray some oil on your baking sheet, then spray the tops of the chops with oil also. Bake for 20 min, flip and 20 min more. Done. There's a chance that they're done sooner, but I've never checked (just followed momma's recipe!)
Everything looks Amazing of course girl! Are you guys fans sour cream? Cas those Nachos looked Soooooo good but I would been doing a dollop of Daisy😁 on top of mine
I have a tortoiseshell cat named Gracie Sue. When you want to drain just small amounts of fat from beef, you can just use a couple of white paper towels and wipe the pan with meat still in.So easy!
You make the best meals!! Some channels ask for these off the wall ingredients/spices that you would only use once! Lol At Thanksgiving I made those simple mini apple pies with cinnamon biscuits you made. They were a HIT! I'm making them for Christmas too! Thank you for all these meals!! I'm trying the pork chops next!! In that chicken dish I would use the spinach too! I would have added mushrooms too! Lol Any dish I could add mushrooms to I do! Welcome back!!
Hi Mandy, I recently found your channel and subscribed. I have been binge watching. I love your channel and your sweet family. I look for meals that can be prepared fairly quickly, not complicated, and something my husband and son will eat, and oh that are tasty also. Thank you for providing the recipes and links. I already have so many I want to try. You are making the weekly grind of what's for dinner, much easier, with so many ideas. Thank you!
Just seeing this today. I made nachos the other day. Almost the same recipe except I mixed the beans in with the beef. I happened to have bone broth so I used that to get the right consistency. I mixed the taco seasoning in the entire thing. I added avocado on top. I had cilantro and of course I forgot to put it on. It was really good
These are some awesome recipes Mandy! Not sure if anyone mentioned it but Chihuahua cheese can be found in most grocery stores now and it's amazing. It has a low melting point and goes great on nachos and can also be used to make queso cheese dips.
Everything looked good, but I could have reached through the screen to grab a handful of those nachos! Gracie was so cute. It was funny how she was pouting...until the cheese was oiffered. Lol.
Tfs Mandy ,So happy to have you back with your awesome supper ideas . We will start eating what we call Mandy Suppers again here our home . We love your channel ,such a inspiration . Blessings Kathy in South Tx 😉 These recipes look great ,going to make all 3 for our weekend menu.
Yay glad to see a new what’s for dinner! Here’s my recipe for mexican rice 😊 it’s super yummy also. Mexican Rice 2 Cups Long Grain White rice A couple Tablespoon of Canola or Vegetable oil 4 Cups of Water 1/2 Large Onion Diced 1 Knorr Soft Chicken Bouillon Cube 1 Can of Rotel with Lime and Cilantro Onion Salt Onion Powder Garlic Salt Garlic Powder Cumin (Go lightly on this) - [ ] Start by heating up Canola Oil - [ ] Add your rice - [ ] Heat till it starts to lightly brown - [ ] Add 1/2 onion - [ ] Add 1 cube of broken up chicken bouillon - [ ] Add 4 cups water - [ ] Add the can of Rotel of your choice (I use the lime and cilantro) - [ ] Add your Seasonings (lightly on the salts or you can over Salt easily. You can always add more after it's done.) - [ ] That's it and I keep heat high for about 2 min, give it like 2 stirs and then cover for 21 mins Lower heat to a simmer or as low as you can. After it's done turn off heat, slide lid to side to let out steam and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Hi Linda! This looks yummy! Thank you for taking the time to type this up. In the future, please send your recipes to my email address mandyinthemaking2018@gmail.com so that I don't lose track of them in the comments. 😘😘😘
Love your taco stuffed peppers crave them constantly... also love your mexican rice though I have tweaked it a bit... instead of tomato sauce, I added a can of rotel tomatoes... mmm so good...
If you will add a little mayo to the refried beans it will make them so much more creamy. Sounds weird I know but trust me its good. I make my own refried beans using ranch style beans. Little oil in the pan the. Add a can of drained ranch style beans and use a potato smasher just like you would mashed potatoes. Add a little mayo and your done! ~rooster
Oh girl just published mine too and made your bacon corn. Called it Mandy’s corn cause I forgot who you said you got it from 😂 such an inspiration always!!
LOVE THAT YOU ALWAYS PUT YOUR YUMMY DELICIOUS RECIPE AND DIRECTIONS UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE THEM FOR LATER FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO CAN NOT COOK THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
Easier way for the rice: replace the chicken broth and all other seasonings with Knorr tomato bouillon when toasting the rice add a little bit of onion to it. Also, I love your channel and you make recipes look so easy!!
I haven’t been watching pretty much any videos in the past couple weeks because we were moving 30 hours away, now that i’m back into a house and done with the traveling portion of this move i can finally start catching up on videos and cooking again! I’m so over eating out and can’t wait to try out some of these recipes!
Wonderful meals this week! I love to bake the devil out of chicken thighs!! They don’t dry out and my 98 year old dad can eat them without teeth!!😀. I’ll have to add the potatoes and spinach next time!!! Thanks Mandy!!!
To help refried beans to be more..."smooth" can add about a tablespoon of sour cream to them (if you don't like sour cream can use milk or water). I do that often, especially when making Mexican Lasagna or Nachos 😊
@@MandyintheMaking I wanted to share with you because you guys love garlic what I do to the refried beans to make them delicious! I put them in a skillet with 3T of butter n 1t of garlic powder I add 1/2 cup of picante sauce. Sauté until well mixed. Then drop over nachos! If you want to eat as a side just sauté until thickens!
Who likes a video before they watch it? ME thats who! I need that cheese grater Mandy!! Looks amazing. This one is more effective because you can see where you're grating the cheese. The standing graters make it hard to see once you get going and you can easily cut yourself. Thanks for sharing. Those pork chops!! yum!!
I make sloppy nachos sometimes. I made sloppy joes a long time ago and didn’t feel like a sandwich. So I took the sloppy joes and used then on my Doritos nacho chips regular cheese ones with refried beans, rice and cheese. Then when it is done add what you want to them. My kids were little they loved them and still eat them today at 31 and 28. People think it weird till they try them. Everything looks great.
Oh my my!! I'm definitely going to make those pork chops this week. I love the variety you cook every week. Everything looks so delicious. Have a great day and weekend.
Oh my! All of the recipes look so delicious and tasty! I will be making the chicken thighs, potatoes in garlic cream sauce tonight for dinner! Thank you so much for sharing what’s for dinner. I have a recipe that I use for rice but I will give yours a try. Who am I kidding I’m trying all of these recipes 😋😋
These recipes look sooo good! I'm definitely making those Nachos for New Year's Eve, they will get gobbled up fast! The mexican rice looks really good and that Subbie Supper... yumm that looks fabulous I can't wait to try all of these. Thanks for the great dinner ideas!
Your mashed potatoes look ah-mazing! The nachos too, wow! I like to heat my refried beans on the stove top and add some water, not too much, maybe about 1/4 cup for the amount you used. That makes them super easy to spread.
I can't wait to make the chicken dish as well as the nachos. Question or two, why don't you use a hand mixer & where did you get the dishes w/The "sayings" on them?
YUM! I had a thought as the video neared the end...that cream sauce for the chicken would go great on top of the pork chops!!! Clearly I am watching this HUNGRY! You rock. XO

You should try adding the refried beans to your meat. It makes them so creamy and delicious! Total game changer!
When I make sheet pan nachos, I spread the beans on the bottom then stick the chips into them. Then I put the meat & cheese on top.
You have the best channel! I’ve been binging it for the last 3 days. Seriously, you are amazing!!
I also prefer to shred my cheese, seems to have more flavour. Can't wait to try these recipes.
Everything you make always looks so delicious! 😋

TGIMF!! Thank God it’s Mandy Friday!!!
I missed you girl. So glad you are back with more yummy recipes for me to try. Have a blessed day 💖
Aw thanks Julie!
If you coat your meat in flour prior to the egg dip...it helps the egg hold better so it ''breads'' the meat better.

I thought the same! I'm not a fan of sour cream but my family would probably riot if I served those nachos without it! 😂
I Drown my nachos/ tacos in sour cream😋😋😋

Mandy, boneless pork chops cook quickly and don't really need to be put in the oven, as well. :)
