I haven't tried, but considering we have one specifically for KOTH it could be that it's not compatible with strongholds. I'd say give it a go. Worst case it doesn't work haha
Hi I'm trying to make a 1 flag game mode where the teams don't change. One person defends the flag against everyone else. How would I set that up. Or even potentially make it so that the game itself randomly picks the one player to be on the enemy team. On my map I put the flag you capture as cobra and the delivery plate as eagle but it is not working
I’m trying to set my map up to just be a capture the flag map. I set up all the components for the ctf gamemode, but when I went to test it out in a custom game, I couldn’t set the mode to ctf
Do we need to do anything special for player spawn points in round based modes? I keep getting players spawning at random respawn points at round 2 start of oddball.

I'm having trouble wanting to do the capture the flag game mode. The spawns and the flags and their reappearances are correct but I still can't see the flags when starting the game (f6). some help ?
What is the best way to make an attrition mode? Tried making a 4v4 attrition map but when all players are eliminated, the round doesn't end

Through a lot of scripting which I don't recommend doing unless there is a prefabbed script already made by someone. Modes like these are complex to make from scratch.

In KOTH i want that they span in order like 1, then numer 2 and then 3. I give them numbers like you say in this video. But its not worked. The first spawn is everytime the same. So far so good. But the next spawn is random. Can you help me?

When I put the 3 flags one 0,1, and 2 it doesn't work, it just keeps the first flag location help

It's very straightfoward. Leave the flag as neutral in the middle of the map with the same labels and place a delivery plate for each team in their base to capture that flag.
I’m having trouble with the “0” flag always respawning and not moving to the “1” flag..any advice? I’ve watched the video again and again about changing the order.
Do you have 3 different flag spawn objects with orders 0, 1 and 2? You will need the Delivery plate too and have the same setup for both teams before it starts working properly
Also, is it fine to Phase objects into each other? Like, could I put my Oddball spawn at the dead center of the map, but also phase a Stronghold Capture plate there? They're overlapping, but presumably only the relevant object will spawn depending on the game type being played?

How do I make random power seed locations?
i can't get an oddball to spawn. tried all the labels.. nothing spawns an skull onto the ball stand. help?
I'd like to play around with gametypes by messing with the starting equipment. But I can't figure out how to give each team different weapons and equipment (i.e. one teams gets camo and one team gets repulsors). Do you have a video or node script for that?
it would be something like on game start, get player is team, give player new weapon/equiptment
@@austinw6186 Thanks. Tried that, but it gave both teams the same gear. But I figured it out. I realized I could do separate brain nodes and made different scripts for each team. So far its working well.
Is there any way to make an oddball reset zone, like the water on Live Fire or Recharge?
An oddball will reset as soon as it hits a soft kill or a kill volume boundary.
For KOTH, you set the surrounding Capture Plates Spawn Order to 1, but do I also need to do that on the KOTH Capture Zones?
Yes it needs to be on both. If you leave it all at 0 then it'll just pick a random one at the start. Reason I set a single one to spawn order 0 is to have a central hill at the start of the game and the rest are randomised.
When i have 5 hills, how can i do, that the second is not random?
Hey i set up stockpile and did everything and the seeds wont spawn plus the nav points arent showing either. Any input?
Did you use the correct piece for the seeds? Your first set should start with spawn order: 0 then any ones after that to be spawn order:1.
If you accidently set it to order 1 and not 0 then that's the reason they're not spawning.

I put down the plate and the zone, set all the settings, but when I go into a strongholds custom game, the zones dont show up.
Make sure you are using the right labels and that the objects themselves are the correct ones. E.g. KOTH zones will not work in strongholds.
@@UnknownEmerald I figured it out. It was because I only had one capture point and it was set to 0 so nothing happened. I got it now
The capture plate is not working for neutral
I'm having trouble with when I start my custom game my game types that I said I aren't working and it's spawning me away from the main area at the start of the game can you please help me on this
You need to place initial spawns for both teams in order to be able to play on top of your map. Which mode are you trying to set up?
It's mostly just CTF BTB STRONGHOLDS AND SLAYER is what I like to have in all my maps but thanks I really appreciate it and hope you could subscribe to my channel and check out my worlds and let me know what you think 🤔
What are my best options for when I want to have every single game type setup in my map without when players die they spawn in the air outside of the map do I have to like set up internal spawns for all the game types in three different groups for each map I build or something I'm confused
Labels dont work for me, only options i have are to exclude gametypes and flag delivery plate and flag stand spawner
There is currently an INVALID ENTRY bug on the labels I'm afraid. You can try starting a new map on a different canvas and prefab the gametypes there to port over to your current map. Starting a new map might allow you to see more labels.
So how do I make total control work then?
You would use the stronghold plates and add an extra label 'Include Total Control', but that option isn't available at the moment. You will notice the INVALID ENTRY on several areas where other modes should be. Not sure when that will be fixed I'm afraid.

Thank the Prophets, Halo Infinite's Forge is an absolute pile, I've spent 4 days trying to get 2 maps to work with the main gamemodes before I came across this video. Now all that's left is figuring out the terrible scripting system.....
Can you make this a layout a prefab?
You already have most of this when you start a fresh canvas.

this just doesn’t help. every time i create a custom game, its always set to slayer. i followed the tutorial for king of the hill exactly and it still doesn’t work. i just want a game mode other than slayer on my map.
How do we do Total Control?
I'm unsure if we need the Total control labels. We currently have a glitch with them and many are missing from the list. I assume we'd use the stronghold pieces for it and perhaps set the spawn order in them. 3 strongholds with spawn order 0 and then 3 more strongholds with spawn order 1 etc.

I'm struggling to get Strongholds to function on my map. I have everything set up right, and confirmed it by watching your video. In a custom game when a player enters the zone, nothing happens. The zone remains neutral.
Same. They never show up when I load the game up in multiplayer

@@cplrichmond just tried it again . Nothing. :-( have everything set to neutral the plate shows but zone circle when I load the map up is not there.
@@flonyme8174 you have both the plate and the zone in the same place, make sure the game labels are: Plate should be is Strongholds and Strongholds Plate, and then the zone should be Strongholds and Strongholds Zone. Then you have to use Arena: Strongholds for your game mode.

Is it just me, or there's NO WAY to put in Land grab?
We don't have the labels for that mode at this moment. You might be able to get it to work using KOTH labels, but I haven't tried it.
@@UnknownEmerald I was trying to add support for that mode but it's not there currently, which is weird considering it was released before Forge.
Thanks for replying, didn't want to release my map without proper support for all modes but guess we'll put a pin on that one.

No matter what I do I cant get the flags to spawn when i go into play mode. I have everything right. Idk what im doing wrong
