Do the research, the Progressive Movement started over 100 years ago with the main purpose of undermining our constitutional rights and way of life. Progressive Democrats are in every state, in our schools, colleges, every level of government, and yes also in the military.

It's really unfortunate...used to be that Gunbarrel was the somewhat rational, laid back and common sense part of Boulder but can't really say that anymore. While it's definitely nowhere near as screwed up as 'Boulder proper' out here it's catching up, and I'd bet it'll be just as messed up in another 5 years or so. While it really bums me out to see such a nice neighborhood go down the drain I just don't see things ever going back to the way they were so we put our house up for sale and will be leaving the state as soon as possible - plus with us both working 100% remote these days it just doesn't make any sense at all to pay such ridiculous house payments not to mention sky high HOA fees...I mean we live in a 750 sqft condo and pay almost $450/mo in HOA, WTF! I say let the far lefty Californians have the place...it's just way too crowded with snotty inconsiderate jackasses here now and I sure as hell don't see the point in paying a premium to have to deal with it. For what I've been paying for my tiny little condo I can go to any number of gorgeous mountain states and get a 3 bedroom single family home with no HOA and maybe even a few acres of land which is something that we'd never be able to afford in Boulder without completely burying ourselves in debt and with the shitty attitudes many people have here now why would we want to make that kind of sacrifice anyway?

2:43 Small correction, the text prohibits purchasing, not possession. I assume you know that, since you're recommending people stock up, but the casual viewer who is maybe just listening to the audio and not reading along might get the wrong impression.
On a related note, interesting they forgot to define the term "import" for the purposes of the bill. Colorado has a number of statutes directly or indirectly defining or describing "importation" into Colorado from other states, but those definitions always have language describing the specific items, substances, flora/fauna, etc. which that specific statute is attempting to control. If they don't define the term for purposes of this statute, they're effectively banning items coming in from other countries but not items being brought in from Kansas, etc.

Living in NY I can tell you it's very concerning and demoralizing that you can't buy a piece of equipment to defend yourself properly. I just tried to order a bushcraft knife from a very large knife distributor website and they will not ship it to me. That's what I get for trying to buy a USA made knife. If I order some bs from another country they will ship it no problem. 🤷‍♂️

    I live in Colorado.
While I agree there is reason for concern, I'm not sure it's that much different than last year.
Last year we had a similarly democratic legislature, and a similar AWB introduced. Polis claimed he wouldn't sign it and it died.
Now, it's an election year. Polis has presidential ambitions. I'm not sure that would sway him into being more amenable to an AWB. In fact, it might moderate him a bit on the concept.
On the other side of the fence, however, is the AWBs in other states. The fact that WA and IL have passed AWBs without any repercussions might embolden Polis and the CO dems.
All that to say, I'm still not sure it's a foregone conclusion at this point. Not much has changed in CO since last year when a similar bill was introduced and defeated. I hope we can say the same at the end of this legislative session, but I'll be sure to be at the state house when this bill is debated.

For anyone that’d care reading this:
    - Anyone, in any State, in any location ought to not just keep a good stockpile of ammo and necessary resources (food,
Medicals) but also store some offsite.
For those who live in urban areas, find public forests, or desert - depending upon the topography.
Higher elevation is good, low works well if it isn’t in a flood zone. Plan according to your ability to navigate terrain! Consider the possibility of sustaining injuries that may physically impede movement and plan offsite storage based on that.
Share locations of offsite area to only your closest social circle and leave a physical marker or some kind of identifier (can mark area with say UV-reactive spray paint that can be seen under black light).
Lots of ways to go about storage, mainly to counter any physical confiscation that could occur. Government doesn’t need much reason to grant whatever it wants, justifying their actions by the proverbial ink of a pen.

While it’s great that you bring attention to these issues, it would have been better to tell people to fight it rather than just focusing on the Dem’s majority in the legislature.
Yes, gun laws can be defeated in blue states. This is the second time it’s happened here in two years and it occurred in New Mexico too.
While Colorado is blue (and that sucks) there are tons of gun owners here and it’s not so easy to piss us off and get away with it.

I used to love living here. It was very hipster but in a libertarian way. The fact that it used to be a swing state, kept the democrats and republicans from going full-partisan. Now it is all democrat and they’re ruining it. The beautiful outdoors, the fresh air, the freedom. Now everything is trashed and it’s turned into a police state with crazy restrictions.
I live on the western slope of Colorado and it’s is super majority republican. It’s half the state, but Denver controls all laws. It is damaging to the traditions, way of life and economy in the more rural side of Colorado. They decide everything for us. Not that a full republican government would be ideal either, considering this half of the state gets all of its funding from Denver which pulls in the majority of tax revenue due to population sizes. Without their money, this side of the state would sink.
More or less, we need balance again. We need equal representation. This partisan shit is ruining our country as a whole. I don’t care what side of the fence you’re on. Leave me alone. Let me own my guns, keep my money, and put whatever I want into my body and stay off my property. Big Brother shit I swear it. Time to move
