Manu arguably made more winning plays - offense, defense, incredible passes, subtle screens, timely stunts on defense, taking charges, etc., than anyone but Lebron in the last two decades. Most of it never got onto a stat sheet, but a keen eye could see it. He played with huge heart and a big brain. When the Spurs needed a big play, Manu invariably stepped up. People were dancing in the streets there was an impromptu parade. It was the last time we've got to celebrate the spurs in our city and until we beat the warriors in the playoffs it will be the last great spurs moment we fans remember.
Congrats on all those great teams you guys had. Beat the Lakers, Pistons, Heat, and would've had a great chance against the KD Warriors if not for that dirty play by Zaza. This coming from a Mavs fan....
Manus gold medal may be one of the biggest underdog victories in basketball history. He's always been super fun to watch, definitely will miss seeing him on the court. Big3? Lol
it wasn't an underdog victory. Team USA was not the odds on favorite that year, and actually did Argentina a favor by playing over their heads and beating top seed Spain in the quarterfinals. People already knew they could be beaten because Manu and the Argentinians had outclassed a slightly weaker version of Team USA in 2002 Indianapolis. That's when I first learned of Manu and got excited. I thought with him the Spurs would get the perimeter firepower to challenge the Lakers.

Longtime Mavs fan here. Ginobili was the biggest pest we faced from time and time again. This dude was so good I think without him the Spurs wouldn’t have done HALF of what they accomplished.
Manu was a give and take player. Normally his risk taking worked for the Spurs, but his mistakes arguably cost the spurs titles in 2006 and 2013. Still, the spurs are not champions without Manu's magic in 2005, 07, and 14.
@Sam0193 I want to defend Duncan on that. He missed 1 layup, but I'll forever belive that if Pop doesn't take Duncan out on defense in game 6 (twice), then the spurs get one of those defensive rebounds, and win. It isn't rational, but how Duncan is the spurs GoaT, I'll never understand benching your best player ever.
My favorite players to watch over the last 40 years: 1. Manu 2. MJ 3. Kobe MJ & Kobe had the same skill sets more or less. All three had a huge desire to win. There was just something different about how Manu did whatever it took to make his team better. I value humility and team-first above athletic dominance, but his athleticism was sneaky and always caught opponents off guard. I grew up in the David Robinson era and appreciate what he did for SA, particularly off the court, but Manu rose to the top of my all-time list.
Manu euro-stepped his way through our damn hearts. He’s gotta be one of the best international players of all time right? 2004 (as much as USA beat themselves) is one hell of a resumé by itself.
@@Jose-se9pu Everyone knows they had internal problems. If team USA clicks nobody is better and nobody beats them. If Argentina had a better team it would no be that huge accomplishment that it is.
I can not understand how I just find this jewel about Manu. Men this is great, well done, I watched I guess 500 manu ginobili´s videos. This is in my top 3. Standing ovation for this!!!
His shooting percentage would have been higher if they did not pass him the ball constantly with the clock running out on broken plays. Also he has always been one of the elite inbound pass defenders in the league.
Thank you for this well-done and entertaining video about Manu Ginobilli's stories and moments. The last one of those shared here: the fact that he's a good family man with no scandals and a person loved by all despite being a superstar and a legend, is the reason why many (including myself) consider him to be the greatest all-time idol in Argentina's sports history. A great example for all kids who want to make a living from sports to follow. Thanks again for this tribute MDJ!
what made the block on harden great is that he had studied harden to learn where he tends to release, so he knew where to block, he talked about it with the media (cant remember if it was argentinian media or the american media)
Such a great and underrated block,Perect understanding of time and hardens left handed release.Manu jumps for the block before harden is even in shooting motion
It's even more underrated considering all the favoritism surrounding anyone who breathes on harden. If he fouled, harden would've got 3 shots from the charity stripe. Risky, but calculated and extremely well executed move.
Made a career out of being clutch (let's forget 2006) and ended clutch. (2 Game Winners in his Last Season, Leading the Spurs to the win against the Warriors) Will Forever Love you Manu!
Ginobili achieved something amazing! He was in the team that first defeated the USA with NBA players in 2002. That's was almost unthinkable in those times (not the best USA team, but it wasn't Manu 's fault). Later in the tournament Argentina was stolen by the referees the gold medal against Serbia. In 2004, he (and Scola) were the leaders of the Olympic gold medal winners. They defeated the USA for the second time (and this team had stars and some hall of famers like Iverson, Tim Duncan- best 4 ever-, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Stephan Marbury, Wade, Stoudamire, etc). Manu became one of only two players (along with Bill Bradley) to have won a EuroLeague title, an NBA championship, and an Olympic gold medal. Ginóbili played 217th playoff games, breaking a tie with Shaquille O'Neal for sixth in league history. Ginóbili also passed Reggie Miller for third in career 3-pointers in playoff history. Ginobili is one of the few players to do crazy and effective nutmegs while playing.
That 2002 win was a much bigger upset because b4 that people didn't think Team USA could be beaten. The Argentinian team even got an ovation from all the other teams at the hotel lobby after the game! For 2004 Team USA was actually an underdog (because they sucked at shooting 3's) and had previously lost to Puerto Rico and Lithuania in group play. It is strange to see so much writing about how 2004 was a monumental upset when it didn't feel that way at all at the time. I understand it was the Olympics which is always more important than the World Championship, but still...
Most memorable on Manu. Rookie season. In transition, Manu dribbling, coming down just past the 3point circle of opposition, suddenly makes a one hand (left hand) loooonng 50 ft upcourt bounce pass with top spin, in heavy traffic (2 maybe 3 opponents) to 42 yo Kevin Willis who was streaking downcourt. Magically the ball popped in front of Kevin Willis and without breaking his stride, grabbed the ball and dunked it. Tim Duncan and the other Spurs players were high fiving Willis. But damn! That Manu pass was sweet and magical.
One more comment on the harden block, Ginobili committed to that defensive play really early going up in the air, his ability to anticipate was one of his elite skill sets.
I'm a Kings fan, but from 05-18 I was an adopted Spurs fan because I loved the way Manu and Timmy played. That and they were the only team that would beat the hated lakers.
The reason I love this game so much is this slim shady from Argentina...Thank u for the video, you've spoken my heart out here. Thanks for saying that Manu deserved to be a finals MVP back in 2005. I'd also add that he was robbed of all star games at least twice and sixth man of the year award should have gone to him way more times.
Manu: ORtg 112; Kobe: Ortg 110. Just sayin'. Anyway, I'm surprised you missed this one. It's my favorite, but damned if I couldn't find it after some searches. Came out about 2006-07 or so. Anyway, to show just how unique Manu was, the author of the piece tracked down someone in the Rockets organization - maybe Daryl Morey himself. The Rockets under Morey have always been on the cutting edge, and they had acquired reams of info about every player in the league. With all of that data under their belt, they found that every player, even the best of the best, had tendencies. Except one. Manu, they said, was as likely to go left as go right, as likely to pull up and shoot as go to the rim. That blew my mind.
Yes in a NYTimes article that was about Shane Battier as the "no-stats All-star", it was mentioned that Battier gets a special package of the other team's best scorer (nobody else gets the report). Quote: The San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginóbili is a statistical freak: he has no imbalance whatsoever in his game - there is no one way to play him that is better than another. He is equally efficient both off the dribble and off the pass, going left and right and from any spot on the floor.
I remember when u were at 10K subs, I was watching ur vids and learning a lot, u seemed like u had a lot more knowledge than anybody else and u could’ve destroyed me in a debate, and u haven’t changed, maybe the outro and the room and the vid quality but that’s expected, keep it up
Awesome story!!!!! Loved it, Manu is one of my all time favorite players and my favorite to watch, he was just nuts, pure offensive imagination, pure genius and a competitor at the MJ/Kobe level
Argentine Pride. He's a HERO to us. Hopefully they include him into the Hall of Fame. He deserve it, or maybe I'm very subjective when talking about him. Great Vid. Thanks
Surefire Hall of Fame, don't worry. Some international success helps to get in and Manu got plenty of it - in addition to his NBA career and championships
OMG THANK YOU FOR THE 2005 Finals mention. I was actually shocked he didnt win MVP. I dont mind giving it to Tim, but man it was close. And those first two games were all Manu
As a Spurs fan, I saw that game live the bat game. I always wondered if steal leaders, block leaders have a way to predict patterns. That game convinced me that some people are fine tuned like that to read situations before they happen and that's Guinobili. He was tracking that bat the whole time and then took a single swing at it and didn't miss it. That explains why not all 6'9+ players lead the league in blocks. I think this is the one thing I didn't see covered. Kinda on the Harden play but considering he didn't play that many minutes, he was a very dangerous player to dribble around.
Kinetic skills like touch, balance, and reaction speed are hard to measure athletic skills that are more important than speed and jumping. There are plenty of all time great players that were not the fastest and couldn't jump, but every great player had fantastic touch, balance, and reaction speed (including Shaq and Wilt, they didn't have range, but they had touch). That is why teams keep missing on players like Luka, because we are still learning to measure what skills are important.
Manu will always be on of my favorite euro players. Along with Antetkoumpo has underrated. I'm reality he was a star for years and even when he slacked down he was defientley 6th man material. Never falling to bench in my opinion
That Paul George banging strippers line after mentioning George's other PG13 pastimes had me rolling. 🤣 the video overall had a great blend of information and humor. It's a shame Marc has such a tight schedule, he would seriously be the GOAT of NBA youtubers if he could upload more often.
My 3 favorite spurs highlights: 2014: Duncan over Westbrook to send the spurs to the finals. 2014: Manu dunks over Bosh and the championship celebration unofficially begins. 2017: Manu blocks Harden. Those are not the best spurs highlights, but they are my favorites, I'm much more sentimental about the old spurs.
Bruh, as a San Antonio native and a huge spurs fan all I can say is thank you for this vid on one of our cities adoptive sons! If ya haven’t already checked it out our HEB (Texas grocery store) commercials. Legendary stuff.
I've been watching Manu Ginobili highlights, and I have to say, he is my favorite player. My only regret is that I wished I was a fan of the NBA when he was playing. I got into basketball in my late teens, so he had retired by the time I was intereted.
You really missed something. Watching Manu was an experience because we truly never knew what he was going to do next, his creativity was sublime. Highlight will never capture that "I can't belive he just did that" feeling. Other players can inspire that; Steph, LeBron, Luka, but it was just different with Manu, just a little more shocking, just a little more flair.
I was working security during that game (Halloween btw) when I heard the crowd go super crazy but I knew the ball wasn't in play. Had to watch the replay. Classic Manu!
@@makaveli9789 I remember when he had to miss a couple of games to get all the rabies shots. Manu said he'd never do it again. Even the guy who took that bat from him had to get tested and treated
This type of video was great, we finally get to see some genuine personality from you. I love hearing about all the nerdy contract clauses and stats just because I love basketball and you speak on those topics really well, but I really enjoy the bits of comedy and just you being comfortable in front of the camera. Great job man.
On the block on Harden 3pt shot Ginobili knew had to be a three but also knew the time left, he jumped even before Harden because he knew he had to cover that fraction of time. Manu also goat at clock management. Great video. From a fan who saw him playing for Viola RC.
I'm a lifelong Spurs fan since the mid 1980s, so biased. But still wanted to drop a note because this is one of the best Manu dives I've ever seen! Thanks for your hard work and rational take, man, it's awesome. So many amazing moments, this guy would be talked about very differently if he played for any other team than the no-bad-vibe Spurs.
thank you for not mentioning numbers... great video :) your commento on 08 vs Suns winner made me smile: here in Italy he used to take tose shots every game and nobody ever saw that coming. A final point: in Bologna (the city I am from) he was coached by Ettore Messina currently Offense Assistant Coach at the Spurs... you may say that he started his career with Messina and closed it with him. In the end he's one of the greatest players of all time and for sure top 5 on competitiveness on the same level as Magic, Bird, Kobe and MJ.
Manu was a great player for a million reasons, you hit them all plus a couple. But, to add one more seemingly miraculous impact on the game- he was great enough that I watched this entire video- even after you called Paul George a degenerate while implying the rest of us average guys are, too. But I ain't gonna bust your balls too much since you are not a white boy, either. I really appreciate this video, bro. For real Ginobli was as great as your tribute here, and the effort in researching and splicing together so much of his best attributes and accolades is on par with Ginobli in terms of hard work and improvisation. Which is why we all love this game! Thanks, bro. I'm subbed up.
European player does not mean "Non-American or foreign." That is a stupid thing to say. You ever hear anyone call Yao Ming a European player?!? They mean players that got their chops and made a name in the EuroLeague or born and/or raised in Europe.
I randomly stumbled on this video, watched it up until I heard the “European player” explanation & ended it lol. If that’s your basketball knowledge respect the hustle but nah bro
Man, i loved your video. Well, i love Manu too, even when my nationality is against this feeling (Ginobili is argentinian and i'm chilean and i'm talking about sports. You don't know how hard it is). But, this guy is amazing. You're a very funny guy and you're one hundred percent right about Bruce Bowen and Manu...
MDJ - This is great work. Love your passion and your many talents that are on display in producing this video. You are in the right career field. Keep doing what you doing man I understand you don’t have the time to uploads more videos but I’m always checking back every few days for new videos. Your future is bright kid.
Hard to believe manu only got on 2 all star teams. Just goes to show you that individual accolades don’t always tell the whole story of a players legacy.
Exactly. Players and coaches knew how special he was, more than most of the media did. One of the top 20 players of this century, and yet only made two all star games.
the thing that puts manu above tim and tony as my favourite spur of all time is the intensity he shows. duncan (and tony to a lesser extent) are pretty calm and mild mannered while manu goes crazy for clutch plays
As an Argentinian it's makes me so damn proud of being born in this country and having Manu makings us know as how we are as people. He represent the people of this country at it's best. Thank you so much for this vid, almost cryed out xD
First seen Manu play in 2001 Argentina vs Venezuela. Argentina was absolutely torching teams in the 2001 FIBA Tournament of Americas. I said when I first saw him play that this guy will be a guaranteed first ballot hall of famer one day if an NBA team signs him. I was very surprised he wasn't taken 1st pick of the NBA draft. He's received mediocre media coverage throughout his NBA career so it's not surprising why he was drafted 57. He didn't care about the media coverage or the spotlight. All he cared about was helping his team winning. At the end he is listed in my opinion as the most underrated NBA hall of famer of all time. He was greater than his stats showed.
Manu is the greatest… I was a nba fan from the 90’s when I was 10 and as most ppl who don’t live in the US was a bulls fan and Jordan fan… but Manu is the one who made me a nba fanatic… he made me love basketball and I have always been so proud to be his fan coz he seems like such an amazing guy… it does make me sad that lot of ppl don’t see how amazing a bball player he was… I know he does get his props but he was such a phenomenal player… and was really disappointed he wasn’t in the best 75 players list coz he def was… he may not have been the best scorer or the best defender in the league at any point but you add him to any team even in his last season, and he makes them better… he was a winner who always made winning plays and I don’t mean just making clutch baskets … he just knew how to run an offence… the only flaw I think he had was probably that he used to not be as durable and probably got tired faster than others coz of his style of play… for me Manu is the 🐐… I really hope I do get a chance to meet him at some point in my life …
Manu didn't put up big numbers for years like the other great shooting guards did. He never lead a team by himself like they did. But in any one game he could (and did) outplay Kobe or Wade (generally considered to be #2 & #3 at that position). It doesn't make him better than them, but it meant that the Spurs always had a chance to beat those teams (well, that and the best PF ever).
@@Peter-hx3im 30k points and one of the toughest championship runs known to man ? Timmy had pop parker manu and kawhi for damn near decades.. Timmy can’t hold Dirk
@@Dtaylorr yeah, Dirk was stuck with scrubs like 2 time MVP Steve Nash, 2 time all star Michael Finley, and hall of fame coaches like Nelson and Carlisle, and an owner willing to pay any amount to win. Poor Dirk had it so hard. Dirk was awesome in 2011, but the whole team had to be assembled to build around his defensive limitations. Duncan was leading the spurs on offense and defense. What Duncan did in 2003 was probably harder than what Dirk did in 2011. In 2003 Duncan had very little help. Robinson was old, about to retire, and averaging only 11 points and 7 rebounds. He was still a good defender, but a shadow of his former self. Manu was a rookie that Pop didn't trust. Parker was 19, and played so bad in the playoffs that he was benched and the spurs tried to trade him for Jason Kidd. That team dethroned the Shaq and Kobe lakers, a team that may have been better than the 2011 Heat. In 2013 Duncan was one rebound from being finals MVP. At 38 Duncan was 2nd team all defense and still getting DPOY votes. At 39 Duncan was starting on a team that won 67 games. At 38 and 39 Dirk wasn't even starting for a team that couldn't make the playoffs. Duncan had 2 MVPs, and is one of the few players to win MVP and finals MVP in the same season. When Dirk won MVP he lost in the first round. Head to head Duncan won 35 games to Dirk's 22 in the regular season and 18-15 in the playoffs, with Duncan advancing 4 times and Dirk only advancing twice. When playing each other Duncan averaged more points, assists, rebounds, and blocks. Duncan game high stats vs Dirks were better too, higher points, assists, rebounds, and blocks when comparing their best games. Dirk scored more in individual matches 47 times to Duncan scoring more 43 times (almost 50:50), but Duncan had more rebounds in 50 to 28 games, more assists in 51 to 29 games, and more blocks in 53 to 13 games (tied stats not listed). This is a narrative of equal scoring between the two, but with Duncan dominating in every other aspect of the game. Duncan was worlds better than Dirk. (Source for some of that www.landofbasketball.com/games_between/tim_duncan_vs_dirk_nowitzki.htm)

@Sam0193 I don't really blame Manu, I blame Pop, he took out Duncan. Your assessment that everyone blew it is the more accurate assessment.
Manu was the most underrated player of all time and he deserves to be in the hall of fame. #legend
Done!
My favorite players to watch over the last 40 years:
1. Manu
2. MJ
3. Kobe
MJ & Kobe had the same skill sets more or less.
USA didnt beat themselves, Argentinas was the better team in the Olympics that year.
The USA sent a Dream Team, and they were destroyed by Argentina.
@@Jose-se9pu Everyone knows they had internal problems. If team USA clicks nobody is better and nobody beats them. If Argentina had a better team it would no be that huge accomplishment that it is.
@Aristides Gonzalez I'm not even American I don't care about Team USA but it's just facts. At their best nobody beats them.
+Dayton Brewer Reading comprehension man, "one of the best". I never said he's the best. Just high up on the list.
@@ericsmusic5927 the issue was no kobe plus lebron
Manu’s whole career has been extremely underrated, glad people are giving him a lot of love. I personally don’t even give him enough myself
I'm a Spurs fan (since I was 5) this video made me shed a tear, I'm gonna miss watching this man.
I can not understand how I just find this jewel about Manu. Men this is great, well done, I watched I guess 500 manu ginobili´s videos. This is in my top 3. Standing ovation for this!!!
Ginobili inspired me to play basketball since i was a kid, my favourite player all time!! Great video, cheers from Uruguay :D
His shooting percentage would have been higher if they did not pass him the ball constantly with the clock running out on broken plays. Also he has always been one of the elite inbound pass defenders in the league.
This is something that is overlooked and a weird thing to track, but I always thought he was one of the best pump fake/pass fake artists ever.
@SitDownSon56 that's the point. he already knew where will harden release the ball, so he jumped accordingly.
Manu has done that "block at the back" so many times earlier in his career.
Patty Mills is the only Spur from the 2014 championship team still on the Spurs
Belinelli is back now.
Patty mills is trash

Made a career out of being clutch (let's forget 2006) and ended clutch. (2 Game Winners in his Last Season, Leading the Spurs to the win against the Warriors) Will Forever Love you Manu!

as a rockets fan that block on harden was just as clutch as any game winner hes shot. pop has always been dantonis kryptonite
Manu alone beat the worriers when Lebron couldn't even get a single game
Legend
Enigmatico Enigmático mi
As Laker fan, I have to give Manu his props. Gave us fits....Good luck on your retirement and should be a hall of famer
Manu is definitely a legend
Dude, he won the 6th man award. Of course he is a legend

Favorite sportsman ever. Most fun athlete to watch ever. Pure, genuine, good person. What a special guy.
20:00 minutes for #20 nice.
One more comment on the harden block, Ginobili committed to that defensive play really early going up in the air, his ability to anticipate was one of his elite skill sets.
Exactly, he jumps way before Harden even starts to prepare his... amazing!
I remember the Wade block when Wade was in his prime that was sick ........
And what about intercepting a pass from the opponents by bending low with his knees. Has seen a lot of them, which only a few can do.
As an argentinian NBA and manu's fan I've been all day watching videos about him and this is the best by far, great job
You know Manu is a legend when Charles Barkley and Shaq are a fan of him: "GIINOOOOBIILIIII!"
Not a Spurs fan but damn do I respect the hell out of Manu Ginobli
I respect you for respecting manu 👍
I'm a Kings fan, but from 05-18 I was an adopted Spurs fan because I loved the way Manu and Timmy played. That and they were the only team that would beat the hated lakers.
The reason I love this game so much is this slim shady from Argentina...Thank u for the video, you've spoken my heart out here. Thanks for saying that Manu deserved to be a finals MVP back in 2005. I'd also add that he was robbed of all star games at least twice and sixth man of the year award should have gone to him way more times.
Great piece on my favorite player of all time in all of sports history for me! 1-gold medal 2-passing ability 3-heart of gold! #graciasmanu
Individual ortg is quite poor, orapm, opipm, obpm, orpm are some better stats, and manu does very very well in those too
Yes in a NYTimes article that was about Shane Battier as the "no-stats All-star", it was mentioned that Battier gets a special package of the other team's best scorer (nobody else gets the report). Quote: The San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginóbili is a statistical freak: he has no imbalance whatsoever in his game - there is no one way to play him that is better than another. He is equally efficient both off the dribble and off the pass, going left and right and from any spot on the floor.
I remember when u were at 10K subs, I was watching ur vids and learning a lot, u seemed like u had a lot more knowledge than anybody else and u could’ve destroyed me in a debate, and u haven’t changed, maybe the outro and the room and the vid quality but that’s expected, keep it up
6:38 Let me add that during an interview here in Argentina, Manu said that even Tim Duncan told him that he should have been selected winner.
"Harden was choking so hard, you would think Olenna Tyrell poisoned him" omg
Jacob Seibers who ollena tywell

Awesome story!!!!! Loved it, Manu is one of my all time favorite players and my favorite to watch, he was just nuts, pure offensive imagination, pure genius and a competitor at the MJ/Kobe level
Thank you so much, he's my favorite player of all time.
You just mentioned the exact reasons why I love Manu Ginobili
Argentine Pride. He's a HERO to us. Hopefully they include him into the Hall of Fame. He deserve it, or maybe I'm very subjective when talking about him. Great Vid. Thanks
As a citizen of the US, I totally agree.
Surefire Hall of Fame, don't worry. Some international success helps to get in and Manu got plenty of it - in addition to his NBA career and championships
1st ballot; no doubt
That is why teams keep missing on players like Luka, because we are still learning to measure what skills are important.
its called hand to eye coordination and its true that at some degree it is inherent
Nice video. You nailed it. One of the best ever. Still missed a ton of highlights. Like that finals dunk on chris bosh
My 3 favorite spurs highlights:
2014: Duncan over Westbrook to send the spurs to the finals.
2014: Manu dunks over Bosh and the championship celebration unofficially begins.
2017: Manu blocks Harden. Those are not the best spurs highlights, but they are my favorites, I'm much more sentimental about the old spurs.
Im not crying, youre crying (greetings from Argentina)
He's a great man
Bruh, as a San Antonio native and a huge spurs fan all I can say is thank you for this vid on one of our cities adoptive sons!
Was that staged?
Before watching the video, The 'bat' incident should be on this list.
Don’t forget the rabies shot
@@makaveli9789 I remember when he had to miss a couple of games to get all the rabies shots. Manu said he'd never do it again. Even the guy who took that bat from him had to get tested and treated
It is actually, minute: 11:45
BUT I'M FROM ARGENTINA THOUGH WHITE BOY
Is that a fucking Jake paul joke?
Hahaha White guys represent.
U had a lot of fun making this vid i can tell
I bet MDJ doesn’t even remember making this vid lmaooo

thank you for not mentioning numbers... great video :) your commento on 08 vs Suns winner made me smile: here in Italy he used to take tose shots every game and nobody ever saw that coming.
What was Marc on in this video...
Ben Chen LOL
Hes on crack
He's on admiration! Manu's a f'ing legend, especially his attitude and style. Super influential, but never replicated.
IDK but I like it

Forever loved you MANU GINOBILI😍😍😍
Thank You for this Great Story about Manu Ginobli and as a Lifetime Spurs Fan I appreciate everything that you have done with this Story

European player does not mean "Non-American or foreign." That is a stupid thing to say. You ever hear anyone call Yao Ming a European player?!? They mean players that got their chops and made a name in the EuroLeague or born and/or raised in Europe.
P sure yao ming is from asia
China for sute
Thank you well said
I randomly stumbled on this video, watched it up until I heard the “European player” explanation & ended it lol. If that’s your basketball knowledge respect the hustle but nah bro
Argentina - Sudamérica .
Manu will always be a Hall Of Famer as far as I'm concerned. GO SPURS!!!
I say that as a 35 year-plus Spurs fan who wants to see Manu retirement videos but just doesn't have time to watch mediocre stuff. This was definitely time well spent. Thumbs up and keep 'em coming.
Top 5 greatest shooting guards of all time
Man, keep doing what your doing, no one on RUclips rivals your videos when it comes to NBA videos.
Your video details and your research on the matter is unmatched. You always provide a non bias opinion and are generally backed up with reliable sources. Your opinion is always logical and you don’t do that god awful click bait that nearly every other NBA youtuber does.
Thank you very much for this video, you really reflect the best aspects of Manu.
the thing that puts manu above tim and tony as my favourite spur of all time is the intensity he shows. duncan (and tony to a lesser extent) are pretty calm and mild mannered while manu goes crazy for clutch plays
And his creativity...guy was a blast to watch. Never knew what he would do.
As an Argentinian it's makes me so damn proud of being born in this country and having Manu makings us know as how we are as people. He represent the people of this country at it's best. Thank you so much for this vid, almost cryed out xD
Lol MDJ was drunk af making this video

spurs fan here , you couldn't have said it any better....he was amazing!!! You know your stuff.
Tonight, 3/28/19, we retire this San Antonio Spurs legend jersey. Thank you Manu! #GospursGo #20 #MANU
I miss the giant trophy in the center during the finals
Same. Something about it was so exciting.
Manu is the greatest… I was a nba fan from the 90’s when I was 10 and as most ppl who don’t live in the US was a bulls fan and Jordan fan… but Manu is the one who made me a nba fanatic… he made me love basketball and I have always been so proud to be his fan coz he seems like such an amazing guy… it does make me sad that lot of ppl don’t see how amazing a bball player he was… I know he does get his props but he was such a phenomenal player… and was really disappointed he wasn’t in the best 75 players list coz he def was… he may not have been the best scorer or the best defender in the league at any point but you add him to any team even in his last season, and he makes them better… he was a winner who always made winning plays and I don’t mean just making clutch baskets … he just knew how to run an offence… the only flaw I think he had was probably that he used to not be as durable and probably got tired faster than others coz of his style of play… for me Manu is the 🐐… I really hope I do get a chance to meet him at some point in my life …
I wouldn't be surprised if the spurs signed their next legend from a local ymca
iran lassninja ahem. He's from Miami actually: Lonnie Walker IV
@@manug7957 oh shit

Greati video man and u keep getting better been here since day one
Manu top 3 Sg’s of all time. His whole career is made up of pretty humble stats (limited minutes) He also revolutionized the modern day travel.
@@Peter-hx3im Timmy is #2 after Dirk
@@Dtaylorr 🤣🤣🤣 thanks, we all need good jokes these days. Thanks for the laugh.
Manu, orgullo de la Argentina, crack total.
Loved the editing in this one dude keep it up

Proof that people who know about basketball understand and appreciate how remarkable Manu was.
This video was hilarious and really entertaining but very different from previous videos like you had some new hyped up personality! The crazy energy, the unbridled hype, the humour, the silliness...
This man must’ve popped something before making this shit! And I think he should keep popping that secret sauce, this shit was fun!

Manu taking out Batman was my favorite
Manu ginobli is a legend and we all apreciat what he did for the league
Harden cried himself to sleep that night.
He is the guy who doesn't need MVP award or any other kind of reward to prove himself or others that he is one of the best. He knows it.
Point n°13 is my favorite. As a basketball player i wanna play like him. But the real truth is, as a humlan being, i wanna be Manu Ginogili. Luv
Seeing this on 2020 , as an Argentinian im very proud of him , someone who probably I will never met, but that is what he do. An Icon and an example . Im so happy to exist in the same times as him and Messi, and some Maradona days back in 1994 also.
