Manu is the city of San Antonio’s favorite player in Spurs history. Everyone recognizes Tim is the greatest and we owe everything to Tim, but Manu is the fan favorite. There’s a sick mural of Manu on the back of a building on the Southside of San Antonio near Roosevelt and Steves. Nobody would dare vandalize it
I’ll never forget him speaking to the crowd in Español at those championship rallies. Timmy the 🐐 but Manu definitely the favorite.
And now we have our baby 👽 Wemby 🥹
I would put Sean Elliott up there with Manu.
Without Manu and Tony, SPURS wouldn't have won 5 NBA TITLES!
💛💛💛💛💛
How about them SPURS!

I know exactly what you’re talking about, I used to work near mission road
Its san Antonio safe to tourists?
Ginobili leading Argentina to an Olympic title is forever one of the greatest accomplishments in basketball
Over the whole world including the USA...cmon...that is phenomenal.
☝️🤠🇨🇱💍💍💍💍🐐20
Agreed. Especially to beat the loaded US team.
also euro mvp
like luka
A true definition of a winner, many players have the stats but not the substance, Manu was the real deal. So exciting to watch, a big time player and a great clutch performer. Big fan of him since he played in Italy.
Manu had that clutch gene that very few players ever have. It was a pleasure watching hIm play every game with such passion and genius growing up.
.
Watched my Pistons lock down Kobe in the 04 Finals with 2 of the GOAT perimeter defenders in Prince and Hunter then watched these 2 guys on skates trying to keep in front of Manu who dunked on Rasheed in his 11-point 4th quarter of game 7 and dunked on Ben Wallace the quarter before.
No one better use the "not most athletic" trope. His agility and body control was as athletic as there's been in the NBA and he's had plenty of monster blocks and dunks, including the one Jalen brought up when old bald spot Manu dunked on Bosh

"I chose players without egos",Pop. Manu was a everloving beast. Use to love watching him.
The fact questioning his inclusion in the HOF was a talking point is insulting. Manu was special.
An NBA champion, Euroleague champion, and an Olympic gold medal. He accomplished all three. Not many players have done this. I believe there's only 2 NBA players, and Manu is one of them.
he was always the X factor on their championship run
You didn't cover that manu won gold medal as an Olympian beating team USA. He was considered the second best to guard in the world only behind Kobe even when Wade was around according to the Olympic scouting report. He would have been a superstar somewhere else
8:43 Manu never averaged 20 in the regular season but he did in the playoffs twice and one of those times was during the Spurs championship run in 2005. The ability to elevate your numbers in the playoffs from the regular season is something I really value tremendously when talking about a player's legacy and Manu not only averaged 20 in the 2005 playoffs, he did on better efficiency than in the regular season. Manu also scored more as an old man in the 2014 playoffs than he did in that regular season.
He averaged 19,5 That's 20 basically.
@@newchannel416 Not really but close.
@@showtimenick824 He averaged 19,5 in 2007-2008 and only played 31 mpg.
@@newchannel416 This is a pointless argument. Rounding up doesn't count to me but whether it does to you, I complimented him in my comment.
If you haven't enjoyed Manu throughout his years in the NBA, you might wanna switch sports. Manu was chaos, a beautiful chaos.
He was just one of a kind. He “clowns” the Lakers in his debut game, wins the chip as a rookie - and has pretty much won any trophy that is out there. And he has as many game winning plays that you forget that he was coming of the bench - who passes to Horry, make the block on Harden, wins it against Serbia, Warriors etc.
Mirarlo desde 🇦🇷 a los Spurs era un orgullo festejar.. entristecer eso fue GRANDE Manu me hizo VER basket no solo la NBA era fantástico verlo en medio de esos GIGANTES !
I love this! Glad you're giving GINOBLI the credit he deserves! GINOBLI!!!
I'm seeing a lot of Manu's videos lately. I'm so happy that he's gaining a lot of recognition now that he retired. He was a monster and one of the best to ever do it.
Manu had is own style of basketball and was so entertaining to watch. One of my favorite players of all time.
I am a huge Spurs fan and Manu is an all time great!!!! So crafty and exciting!!!
With the game on the line….Manu, Duncan, and Parker in their prime….i want Manu with the ball
Great video. Manu Ginobili and Jamal Crawford deserve their flowers. The SIXTH Man is so underappreciated.
If you didn’t appreciate the way Manu played, you really didn’t appreciate the beauty of how basketball can be played. Oh, has anyone ever had less of an ego. He was Sensational.
Abnoy wala naman haters si manu. Appreciate kahit ni lolo mo
Manu is GREATLY underrated, undervalued. Because he played with Duncan, he's overlooked. One of my favorites, ever. Absolute badass!
I remember when he was pulled from starting rotation…always felt Manu should have remained a starter. His impact on the game was immediate whenever he stepped on the court. Great player.
I’m a big manu fan thanks for this!
I love Ginobili, I have his Jersey hung up in my closet. I hung it up when he hung up his! I love Manu. I actually ended up buying two jersey because someone stole one!
Manu un jugador especial, diferente valía la pena pagar una entrada para verlo jugar
Kobe and Lebron loved Manu too. They had so many battles against the Spurs and Argentina so they had a deep respect for his game.
Nice vid. Manu helping Argentina winning the gold medal and beating a usa team with duncan, iverson, other established nba players, Larry Brown and his own coach Pop in the coaching staff, is one of the greatest achievements in sports. Look at his passing highlights if you havent seen them, because he's also probably the greatest passer at the shooting guard position. He was definitely a better passer than mj.
Every spurs legend is underrated because we’re small market franchise, BUT, you know that’s about to change overtime because manu , and Tony were freaking in credible , Manu is the European MJ
One of the most unselfish, skilled, and talented players ever ! The guy would have started on 95% of the teams at that time. His "flop game" was on point too !🤣😂
Fue una época hermosa de lindos recuerdos, finales memorables y nosotros desde Bahía Blanca, Argentina alentábamos a nuestro Manu. Gratos recuerdos !!!!
Such a great NBA/Basketball player
If I have to expand the list of the 50's greatest to 75, I start with Manu Ginobilli. And even though Soccer is the #1 sport in Argentina. Argentina historically has beaten the USA Basketball team in World Championships and Olympics.
When Manu retired, he was the last of the few good players that we had in the NBA. I stop watching Basketball right after Manu retire. And now I'm back and it is because of Victor Wembanyama, he is the real deal. I don't know how long I will last because the NBA is brutal in its deterioration. But Victor right now, has brought me back. But I don't think I'll last that long, and that includes me been back playing Basketball 3 on 3 at the senior circuit.
i love spurs and manu was my favourite i loved the coaching pop to me is the best coach he picks role players
Manu was more than a great player. He was/is an inspirational person. He is a phenomenal father, an introspective soul, and a world class role model.
Manu played with his heart! Aggressive, determined, committed, indulgent, prepared, strategic, selfless, without hesitation, devoted to helping his teammates win and putting them in that position to win! I played with a player I grew up playing with that reminded me of him. He played CYO games then played our game and would still win the MVP in both games. He stole the ball, he was the leading scorer, he’d be laughing while you were trying to steal the ball from him and could make it from anywhere on the court. Once I saw him attack, I knew he would be the toughest guy they be head hunting for! I told him in Spanish, No te Rajes! Don’t let them stop you! Mano a Mano.
One word for Manu if you never got to see young Manu even…..BEAST!
Flopping is another.
Nobody played harder than Manu, loved his free style, effective af
The fact he has blocked pretty much every superstar hall of famer in his era proves his insane IQ and discipline.
Manu could’ve averaged 25-30 ppg easily
There are too many great players on the Spurs to name....Gino was the most fun to watch. He did it all. He destroyed offenses...he destroyed defenses. He put it all out there on the floor.
If you do a little research you will find out tha this dude was a career like neighborhood champ, district champ, city champ, state champ, national champ in Argentina then goes to Europe and league champ, national league champ, Euro champ. Then panamerican champ, fiba world champ, olympic champ and few nba champs. Just like that.
I was lucky to live in San Antonio when Manu started playing with the Spurs and Tony Parker and Tim Duncan and they were called Los Tres Amigos. It was fun watching them for years as I was Raised in San Antonio and watched the bad years but was always a a Fan and I Live in Washington State but remain a Spurs Fan.
Ginobili leading Argentina to an Olympic title is forever one of the greatest accomplishments in basketball
We Spurs fans in San Antonio, know how special Manu was. He had already played as a professional for seven years before being drafted by the Spurs. And, he was p
art of Argentina’s “Epoca de Oro,” national team. Legend-Legend-Legend
Basketball reference was tripping on that. His sacrifice and what he brought to his teams are what made him so hall of fame worthy. Not many players like Manu exist.
His euro step is the best.
Manu was a superstar
Manu was a super star you forgot how he destroy tim Duncan and team usa.
The Master of the Euro-Step.....
Manu Ginobili was one of the Greatest Competitors the Game Of Basketball has ever seen!
If he had played in Michael Jordan's era, he would have given Jordan a literal "Run for his money" (gambling term lol☺️)
Possibly would have been a key figure, component in a couple of playoff upsets against Jordan's Bulls...
Sorry, but that's a bit much for me. I love Manu but MJ was on another level.
@@kkkjkk641 dude if John Starks could play MJ to a standstill for (3) Games of the 1993 Eastern Conference Playoffs, Manu Ginobili could have been a key piece in upsetting a Jordan led team!
Manu had no weaknesses in his game, exceptional on both ends of the floor could be your leading scorer or facilitator, clutch hard nosed defense and elite shooting, playmaking...
And that's what the truly Great Players do, make those around them (teammates) better!🏀🏆🏆🏆🏆💯
One of the greatest 2 Guards ever
He won respect of all HoFs from 20s, best South American of all time, and was the heart of SA during the glory days
Manu was the best spur, just like luka is right now the best in the nba, but the organization put it in the shadow and made a black knight out of him. A wildcard, leading a great group, a gentlemen educating the rookies, a man, fighting for winning and taking defeat with wisdom, and he was a veteran who show the world that champios dont give a fuck on age , he played like a monster in his last games
I do love me some Manu
Manu, es el mejor. Una bestia competitiva
I was Never Ever Ever a Spurs fan! HATED them!! BUT...the night I saw Ginobili Steal the ball from Kobe, I was like Holy Shhh this Dude is Serious! And I had to respect his game!
I don't like the spurs, never liked them, but they had good players, good system, and this mf coming out the bench, they were difficult.
Finally Ginobili! What a beast he was. Taught harden everything he knows
There is nothing I love more than him taking the 6th man position but still making a huge impact.
Look at Manu’s win shares per 48. I think he’s still top 50 all time. And all by like 1 of those guys is in the HoF. He played limited minutes, limited role, and came up huge in those minutes. One of the best players in the clutch all time. Stats bear this out.
You know that somewhere is Gilbert Arenas clenching his fist hearing this kind words spoken about Manu and how great he was, knowing that the community would never talk about him like this EVER
Many simply the best
Bench or not, a man's game speaks for itself. Too many NBA players act like no one will give them credit for their play if they aren't a starter. We live in an age of every stat being scrutinized. Players' stats have stats. Play well, starter or not, and the world will know.
He even may done something I don’t think anybody else did he caught a Bat that was hilarious
Argentina MJ
Idc manu deserves to be in the hall of fame. In my generation you didn’t just think of the spurs with Timmy or tim and Parker. In the 2000’s-10’s when you thought of the spurs you thought of ALL three of those legends, Duncan, Parker & manu
That pass was FLAME
NBA legends explain why Manu was a monster- “Manu was a monster”
even in his 40's the ball was in his hands closing games
That pass at 2:18…..game over, fuckers. Too good
GINOBILI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wasn’t he one of Kobe’s favorite or most respected opponent?
Yeah... Him and MJ
Best 6th man of all TIME
Manu es como el Diego Armando Maradona......de otro level!
his pull up was so fucking weird, i never knew the trajectory of his shot. love the dude minus his flopping. top 40 player imho.
Yeah , the flopping was an overkill
Cuando fue un mostró ginobili.
Mientras jugaba en los 90s era u jugador x.
Ya que se fueron retirado los jugadores de losn90s sobresalió
And then Gilbert Arenas talks shit and says he was more than Ginobili, cmon dude, you absolutely trippin...
GINOOOBLIIIIII
Argentina is in South America not Europe, but I love Magic Johnson.
GINOBILIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Ginóbili y River Plate!!!.
Nada más.
Magic calling manu European is insulting. He's American. The last time I checked, Argentina is a American continent
Mane. You beat the world for a gold medal. then come to the best league in the world and win 4 rings!!! He was a superstar to me! Spurs had a lowkey big 3. every championship team has 3 if you look at it. sometimes more than 3..
Since when did Tony Parker started his own channel 😆😆
Why not? He did everything a superstar 2 guard was expected to do. Dunks, blocking all his peers, game winners so he was super clutch, had high scoring games, steals, circus shots, high ft %, amazing passes, came up big when it counted, could will his team to win...ALL WHILE COMING OFF THE BENCH. UNSELFISH. You cant talk about NBA basketball without mentioning Manu. Dont forget the only foreign player to lead his team to victory over Team USA. Hes got 4 chips. what more do you want? Who are you gonna put ahead of Manu for all time great shooting guards other than Michael and Kobe? Lets see that resume and we can compare. I dont care how many Sprite or Gatorade commercials you saw that made you jump on the bandwagon.
all they care about is stats
Scottie Pippen should be a voice actor. There it is I said it!
Manu Ginóbili
Deberian pornerle el subtitulo al video amigo..🤦🏻♂️
Giiiiinnnnnooobllliiiii
The scientist
Manu un genio dentro y fuera de la cancha. Podría haber sido superestrella en cualquier otro equipo pero priorizó el juego en equipo y la competitividad.
No volví a ver un equipo como ese Spurs de 2014
I did not like to see Manu on the court. He was too much of a threat to Bryant and the Lakers, i rooted for back then. He was a nightmare as an opponent. What a great player that really helps his team a lot and hurts you on the other side of the court.
Spurs should have never let him put on another jersey.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
para que un extranjero como manu pueda triunfar en la meca de la NBA es pq fue bueno entonces!
3:21 i've never thought i'd be ever dissapointed in Magic? European player?? Shit...
I love how manu didn't correct magic when he said he the most exciting European player lmao
#ObiOneGinobli Best International player in my book... Sorry #Nowitzki ...
Tony Parker when
Tim knows what is to face Ginobili... Manu can instantly turn a normal team into a winer one.
