Played it in Beta, did not really enjoy it. Picked it up a few weeks ago and it absolutely blew my mind! The combat system is really exciting, even lower leveled enemies can bring you down if you are not careful. It all feels very involved, crafting makes sense and crafted items can be better than found items; And for those of us without time, any amount of time spent in Tamriel feels rewarding.

The company that makes Elder Scrolls should build up the money to make a Elder Scrolls movie like this. I bleive it will be amazing if they did with the story line to defeat Molag Bal.
Played the beta... didn't buy the game. Decided to give it a try after some of the recent update 4 and reading more about the coming update 5 and 6 announcements dramatically changing the game... for the better. If anyone was on the fence before, give this game a go. I'm having a blast and loving it.
Yeah, ended up quitting shortly after making this post. Go figure!

I played to cap level and spent time doing a little bit of everything before I quit. From a pvp MMO perspective, the game lacks balance. From a Elder Scrolls perspective, it doesn't feel all that similar to ES. Sure they made certain connections and they are there... but it just sorta falls flat by the end and lacks the character many ES had - namely Oblivion and Skyrim. I think if you're looking for a game that's going to give you your moneys worth - this game has enough to keep you busy and you'll have fun. If you're looking for an MMO to call home for months and months... don't think this is the best option. If you're looking for an Elder Scrolls experience, I don't really feel this is it.

So who is on who's side? Nords and Dark Elves fighting together... I thought they didn't like the Dunmer
This may not be right but the factions are:
Daggerfall Covenant: Bretons, Orcs, Redguards
Ebonheart Pact: Nords, Dunmer (Dark Elves), Argonians
Aldmeri Dominion: Altmer (High Elves), Bosmer (Wood Elves), Khajiit
Only one out of these that actually makes sense is the Aldmeri Dominion. The dark elves hate the argonians and vise versa, and the nords hate elves and aren't fond of beast races either. The orcs hate both the redguards and the bretons, and the bretons and redguards dislike one another.

Not only is the game good now, but it can stand with any other Elder Scrolls game. By far the best MMo game out there. If your a fan of Elder SCrolls and you are not playing this game then your just a stubborn idiot who cant get over they made an elder scrolls mmo instead of a single player. I was one of the peopel who did not care for it at release, but now it is infinitely times better.

part of alliance. there are 3 alliances, 3 races per alliance. For example, Dunmer/Nords/Argonians are part of the Ebonheart Pact

Am I the only one who dislikes the Covenant? I can't finish the Covenant because of how boring it is. Both Glenumbra and Stormhaven look identical in geography, and Rivenspire doesn't look that much different. Alik'r Desert is just an enlarged Stros M'kai, and I haven't been to Bangkorai yet. Each region in the Pact is diverse, and the overall story is interesting. I'm still in Auridon on my High Elf character, but I already like the Dominion better than the Covenant.

The effects are different ingame most of the time,..in all games,including the Witcher series. It WOULD be great if the whole game of ESO looked like this film! Still,ESO is a beautiful game to play.

So the dominion sorcerer high elf is a magicka build, The covenant nightblade breton is a stamina build and the Pact dragonknight nord is a health build. I think this is really badass, anyone agree?
That's why my frist ESO character was a NORD DK with a health build. Bitch is awesome tank.

i say this everytime i see cutscenes this beautiful.....why havent hollywood jumped on these kind of visuals and given us a cgi movie that looks this good, i know theres some out there like appleseed, beowulf, final fantasy (advent and spirits) to name a few, but theyre nowt like this. Im just tired of the pixaresque cgi films they have, why are us 'big kids' being left out. halo 4 cutscenes amazing, starcraft cutscenes epic, assasins creed trailer adverts etc etc.....but alas, no 2 hour long epic as fuck movies with the same visuals....such a a shame, they'd make a ton of cash if they did it right. maybe the game companies should just do it themselves, advent children was made by them, and that wiped the floor with the hollywood made spirits within, so i know they could do it. seriously, i'd watch a two hour long skyrim or halo movie if it was cgi and not live action, itd be awesome.

Tolkien ripped off everything in LOTR from Norse mythology. Even Gandalf. There was a Dwarf named Gandalf in Norse mythology and the appearance of Gandalf Tolkien lifted from Odin when he wore his "wanderer" disguise.
This video is, unfortunately, much better than the game. Would be better if they spent so much money on film than would do a piece of mediocrity with prefix MMORPG.

rofl this is so inacurate its to supposed to represent the game as a trailer and you know show the basis of the game or whatever Its hard to describe (Spoiler Alert don't read if you don't want spoilers for ESO) if you played and beat the game you know that the 4 alliances will eventually come together to fight molag bal so in these trailers it always shows those 3 main people those 3 people represent there alliance but there is 4 alliances not 3 so thats inaccurate and it shows them ready to fight then molag bal shoots a dark ankor down on them and there supprised thats not in game the alliances know the threat of molag bal but refuse to stop fighting out of fear another alliance will come for the ruby Throne and and when the archer guy gets turned into a zombie and starts fighting for molag bal is inacture in game none of the alliances agreed to serve nolag bal. SO THATS 3 INACURACIES CONGRATS THX FOR READING HAVE A GREAT DAY , WEEK ,WEEKEND OR LIFE WHICHEVER ONE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE TAKINB

why make the trailers look so different from the actual game? I mean, seriously. watch the for honor cinematic trailers, or the assassin's creed trailers or other modern game cinematic trailers. they all look like the actual gameplay. this tho... no. this looks nothing like the game. I was so hyped when I saw those trailers thinking the game was going to look just like this. and then I saw the actual gameplay... meeh.

in my opinion all things considered the empire is the most awesome because they fought daedra , civil war , and now 3 different forces and still fighting i mean common.
Hang on a min the mage in this has powers that the mages of Eco can't even use what is that.. lightning flood or is it the templar power beam of light or soul beam half of this is not even in the game oooo it dose annoy me when that happens well the dadra were using soul beam that much is clear but wtf was the elf mage useing Lightning whip ??? We don't even have that the dragon Knights have a flame whip but that's it the closest we have to that lightning is storm surge and lightning flood well and lightning from or staffs ??

and its not the imperials like the cyrodiliis but the empire the faction
The Reman Dinasty ended with Prince Juilek Cyrodiil's death during the Four Score War, so now there is no Emperor and many tamrielic leaders want the Ruby Throne for power. This period is called Interregnum and it ended with the birth of Tiber Septim's Empire about 500 or 600 years after this game.
