Ross Draws oH boy landscapes thank god i’m good at drawing people and characters but not backgrounds etc. and i really need to learn 😭
Yes landscapes, beautiful but giant
Listen my man, you keep throwing out tips and tutorials to help artists like me and others, and I'll keep buying merch. I have no problem with this style of relationship! In fact, I'm thrilled to be helping you live and survive. You are a treasure, my friend! Thank you so, SO much! 😗🤘
I love these series and tutorials which will help me with my drawings!
Ross Draws The first thing I remembered loving to draw was back in 6th grade in 2010. I loved drawing Pokémon and Warrior cats. I wanted so badly, to draw my own warrior cats and to have a story behind them. I still can’t, but I can draw some Pokémon 😎
still can’t believe that this course is actually for free 😍
thank you ross 🙏❤️🗿
@KEN's what
🗿
Just another gamer yeah but we don’t have to pay with our money😂
TBF there is incredibly little value in it IMO. It looks fancy but really that's all. There are much better free course on youtube. Checkout Marco Bucci for instance.
Grégory Makles i feel you bro, sinix aswell, but rosses tutorials are entertaining :)))
I think this is underrated. The fact that you're doing MASTERCLASSES for FREE is so generous! It really helps because a lot of us don't have the money for usual master classes or skillshare. Thank you Ross, for not only providing education but also enjoyable entertainment❤❤❤
I have no money :/
I love how he's so excited to show us the techniques he was gonna teach but still have the self control to save it for later 😂
I wanna thank for the simple yet very helpful technique.
True. And you're pretty. :p

This needs to be top comment or something
Sean Williams TY 🙂
Well I’ll be damned. Thanks mate 👍
Thx dude
14:24 _You know you're good when you flip your canvas and everything is fine_ 😅
More like *you know you're a god at art when you flip the canvas and everything is still lookin' fine*
(Notes - How Ross Colors Skin)
1. Use a reference, taking note of light and shadow
2. Uses a round brush at 75%~ softness
3. Adds highlights + color from the sky (or other surroundings)
3.5. Remembers basics (direction of light source, awareness of 3D forms)
I thought this was gonna be a meme but it was actually useful. Thanks!
Ahh thx Q
Thanks so much
Thanks 😊 that helps alot xD
75% softness??
What the heck. People usually want money for this i thought it was a preview.
Amazing job mate
I mean your technically paying him just by watching the video so :)

"color dodge" is like... the opposite of throwing shade
My strange addiction
@@nobitasupratman1696 lmao he should go to that show
I really like the way you're constantly saying, "It looks great" "Wow great effect!", it makes me feel like you love your drawings, and it's something that we should do when we paint and draw. Thank you !
i started drawing Disney char's in the 60s and went on to charlie brown and snoopy ended up hand-painting signs for business's when i was 13 then moved to tattooing when i was 16 wasnt until i was in my mid 30s i went to art college now I'm moving into digital arts at 60 cant wait for my xp-pen 22r pro to get here

Circles...
I drew circles
According to my mom my parents had notebooks upon notebooks, filled with absolutely nothing, but circles.
Dirrhenia the Heaped is this you
Interesting, in my opinion drawing circles [and lines] is one of the first 'instinctive' learning routines that any person that wants to draw will do; with instruction or not. Whenever I get tired of drawing lessons or completing a project I would draw circles, lines and ovals while trying to gain accuracy.
*The descent to madness*
The ascension to mastery of one's craft...
It's funny because there is Pi in your name... ^^
Ross: Something super simple, don't blow it out! This is still our foundational structure!
Also Ross: *covers whole piece in color dodge*
Well to be fair I would have colored much more than that... But I agree.. He said that more for himself😂 still awesome though
Found this channel a week ago and I love it. He’s giving out great tips FOR FREE and the way he talks feels like he’s your friend and he’s wants to teach this information which feels so comforting
I swear this guy's energy is on another level! I feel like it raised my vibration.
Still can't believe that all of this is free, also I like the way how good you explain everything. Many tutorials and masterclasses are way too complicated...
I totally agree !
Yeah you pay too much and then end up understanding less than you did originally

If you really want to learn basic techniques -- this channel is really very good. Thank yoouuuuuu. I've learned a lot from you than all of the other tutorials that I've listened to.
I've just discovered this series and I can tell this is the right intermediate to advanced level of info that I've always been seeking since literally 90% of the videos and tutorials out there is for beginner level. Thank you so much for this awesome seires
I remember that when I was younger, I loved drawing trash cans. I don’t know why, I just loved the roundness.
And I’m talking classic cartoon trash cans. The tin ones with the saucer cover. Those were so fun to draw
TheNillaBean159 I don’t know how but this made my day😂
You make art seem so doable... It's really inspiring :)
It just seems
@@Prajwal____ just practice until it is
I am always rewatching and rewatching your videos to refine my art. Thank you!
Man I really like your tutorials, they really show the complete process involved with doing something and don’t just focus on the drawing itself but also shows everything else that can help you improve your art. You are a great teacher!
Yes, I'm twelvth! Hi Ross, me your fan from Malaysia. ✋😊
13:15 He literally just summed up every paint brush tutorial with a few sentences. This saved me from worrying about downloading a whole library of paintbrushes thanks Ross!
I just discovered your videos. Are you're honestly such a saver. I have so much motivation to become an animator in the futur as my job. And I always had a bit of hard times with tutorials that do not explain really well. But yours are incredible!
I weirdly feel like, I'm actually CAPABLE of drawing well if I try hard enough and listen carefully!
My holidays are coming in about a month and I know I'm gonna spend all of it on practicing drawing! Thank you so much for making this free, and your art is just gorgeous. ♡
Maybe this is coming late but i'm gonna say it. What I think is important for youngsters is that they should get a good hold of the basics, I mean like practice forms daily for a month if needed. the thing is you want to be good at it not just capable of it! Good luck for you.
Just realized that he used basically red and blue for the skin, and I'm totally blown up. Also, I feel like I'll have to watch this at least two more times to get all I can from it, cause it just feels like there's new tips and information in every minute of the video
2yrs later and again, i cant believe this is for free goshhhh thank youuuu so much
Im loving this course, and it will definitely help me with my drawings! Thanks Ross!
Ross: i've always gravitated towards the sky
Physics teacher: i don't think you understood the point of gravitation, ross
I can’t believe you don’t have a million yet! ;-;
ikr, he deserves way more views and subscribers !
MIND BLOWN!!! Learnt a gazillion things from this video. Now need to watch the rest! 👍🏻😘🎁
this section is highly technical, more than amazing, expert level.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa even if i didnt even start the video i know it will be amazing
Thank you again for making these videos ♡♡♡
His drawings always look so good you think it couldn't be better...
and then he shows the actual image rather than just the recording of his screen
Who needs to go to art school when you have Ross draws to teach you
Paola Maldonado my sister said that she 100% agrees
Paola Maldonado art school is still better though
RUclipsrs are sometimes better than some professors in art schools. I'm an art student and our art professors doesn't really teach us lol They show us samples of what to do, give us a deadline and boom just do it, they won't even really teach you 😂 Though there are also some professors who help their students with some techniques, but it was literally just a "little" help. Not that I'm complaining, but every student have different skill levels. I just hope they pay more attention to their students 😂 Oh and one more, most of them don't have the word "inspiration" in their vocabulary haha At least artists in youtube they help you get inspired and teaches you that "mistakes are just happy accidents."
even my school not teach this things to me
This is some kind of an art teacher that I sooooo badly wanted. 😍🙈 Not those in schools who were like "Okay class, research about bla bla bla bla bla." and we were like "here we go again" *rolls eyes*
Ross Draws is the only art instructor you’ll ever need ❤️🙌🏾
The thing I remember that I loved drawing was the Power Puff Girls. My mom kept all of my drawings in a folder from when I was 6 and whenever I go back and look at all the Blossoms, Bubbles, and Buttercups I drew it makes me cry tears of joy.♡
Oh my gosh that is exactly how it was for me. I had an old drawing of the girls and the professor and I was proud of it. I thank cartoon Network for my desire to draw.
@@jeremywright9511 okay, we have to friends now. Do you have a instagram? Or Twitter?
Ahhhh omg I love this series - it’s so helpful
This is probably the best tutorial for portraits in digital art I've ever watched, thanks so much for this.
You make art seem so doable... It's really inspiring :)
Ikr he explains everything so well without beating around the bush, and he ensures that even beginners would understand, and giving tips. Most Tutorials don't help me because they think I am professional enough to know shading and lighting, so I am really happy when Ross explained about how light works. It's really dedication and effort
The tip about dark accents and anime made me finally realize why anime is drawn the way it is. Was wondering about that for a long time :p
we must protect and support Ross at all cost !
I'm a chilean professional illustrator for many years, but nowadays I'm changing my art, looking for new horizons, and the most important, no more lineart in my life haha It has always been difficult for me to eliminate the lineart and do something more "realistic", your videos are of great help for me, I can observe the technique that you use and try to improve, really Muchas gracias amigo!
Hii.. I'm starting as *ILLUSTRATOR*.. I bought a drawing tablet too.. can I geT away with a i7 processor or do I need to buy graphic GTX 1050..
But.. graphic laptops are really heavy.. please do suggest Which kind of laptop is necessary💛
Your enthusiasm is simply contagious! Great video!
These have improved my art so much, thank you for making these for free! It's hard to find good courses that are free. Thank you so much Ross!
As soon as he talked about the inspo board I got so many inspirations from pictures I've seen from animals and nature photography
Ive been seeing ross in my feeds for a long time... i just gave it a chance and was surprised that i learned a lot

Hello Ross I love your videos my first video that I watched from you was when you let your mom draw
Ooooh me too! 😂
Was it the angel one?
artist_around _the_block yep it was beautiful
I feel like in every art tutorial video I watch, there's a point where I feel skill levels jump from 8 to 80.
But seriously though, loved the vid, ty so much!
the first thing i remember to draw when i was young was the anime DRAGON BALL. i started to draw anime, but now i draw realistic portraits. thank you for the tips Ross draw. stay safe and healthy.
Brillant and inspiring. Thanks to share your knowledge. One of the only thing that have real value.
great video, very didactic, could you tell me what resolution do you use for your drawings? i wish i understood english to learn a bit
I think he might use a 4k resolution, if not something bigger even
Omg I never heard about High Pass before and it's such an useful tip!! Thank you so much!!
Alexis Stryder I've seen Marco Bucci mention it, bit they use it in different ways
I'm going to put this episode on my mood board. So inspired right now.
My god where has this channel been all my LIFE
Something he does that I don't think he notices he does or hasn't mentioned yet, is instead of what a lot of artists normally do: feel disheartened if they test something and they don't like it, he instead shows that even if it's not what he wants to go with, he still acknowledges that it looks awesome which keeps drawing fun. A good example of this was when he used his assets to find a background he liked. He ended up going with the stars, but he still tested different things and although he went with his first idea, it was still fun to explore and test.
when Ross teaches about the brush softness, remember that if your round brush isn't with the "transfer" option selected it won't gain the same smooth/blending characteristic he shows. :) great video btw
What do you mean by that?
I loved drawing Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm studying Computer Animation and I attribute that passion almost entirely to my childhood adoration of the Sonic CD opening animation.
What did you think of the trailer
TROUBLE KEEPS YOU RUNNING FASTER!
I thought the tablet was just a screen cutout so we could see it better when you explained stuff. BUT NO IT REALY IS THAT BIG
Do you know which one is it tho? I realy want to own it xd

Drawing Stick figures really does pay the bills

G.O.A.T Fresh is that you?
Main things I learned from this video:
• I should use references more and more references when I do.
• A better order of drawing things than the one I was trying to use before.
• High pass. I knew what it is and how it works (too well perhaps) but had no idea how useful it is for drawing.
I know it's an old video, but thank you, Ross.
I have seen so many tutorials but i'v never seen one that explains in such a simply but effective way as these tutorials do. Thank you so much Ross.!! also thank you for sharing a few of your special secret powers that you use to make look amazing. ❤️
idk y but the colour dodge kinda brought a smile on my face
