Shani Hazan it’s really not that true. I still have so much fun doing digital and traditional art that I’ve gotten into animating. It’s like a excuse for me to draw more pictures and color them. These types of comments get on my nerves because it’s not true. Although you relate to it, lots of people don’t. Please watch your words next time. A better way to say it would be “I agree.” Or just anything that says that you agree with this person’s comment. When you are saying “true” it gets me to think that you think everybody has the same opinion or problem. When talking to a person with a problem they have or an opinion, never say “true” or someone can get really pissed off and you can get into arguments that really don’t matter. That is annoying for me too.
it's not about perfection, that doesn't exist in this world, instead work towards creating something that's good looking to you personally, you'll eventually start inspiring yourself and having even more fun.

Oh my goodness. I have been searching high and low for months for a method I actually would feel comfortable with. Everything I've come across just shows people sketching things out and then using their own brushes to create textures and such. My area of expertise is in photo editing and manipulation. I always felt like it was "cheating" or something for me to use real life photos in paintings. I always felt like I needed to make everything from scratch, and it ends up being so frustrating for me. I can't ever get anything to look right. This is the only method I've seen so far that actually makes sense to me and that I know how to do! I fucking love your ENERGY so much. just having ur videos on in the bg while I'm drawing makes it so much more fun. you are so passionate about drawing and its inspiring af!!
@@BelgianWaffle6791 Just remember that the image you are sampling from is only providing some patterns so you just have to play around with the lighting or the levels and then throw it on top of the desired area, cut away where it overlaps where you don't want it to with the magic/magnetic wand tool and then lower the opacity on that layer. I recommend playing around with different textures to get the feel for it and an eye for it. Lichen, marble and granite are a few good examples that are really distinct. Direct message me if you need any more help or want to connect through a video chat to walk through it. Good luck!
Ever since I got serious about doing landscapes I did that thing where you close you eyes and envision. I also used to close my ears so I could completely focus. It really helps to devote all of your focus to envisioning the proportion of every line and form.

Impressive I don't have more to say 🌷🐞🍀
i did my art assignment on you, Ross - and we were doing a unit on landscapes.
I kid you not, I handed it in yesterday. 😂
When I look at it I feel like I'm not that good. But then I realized that every artist has different art styles. And you know you were the one who taught me that. So I will no longer compare my drawing or art to other people. Thanks Ross. And Thanks for the landscape tutorial I really needed it.
You know you could totally start your own art classes & so many people would love to join. You’re amazing 🖤 such a simple teacher & I can understand everything. Art theory can get so intimidating.
Me admiring artists for drawing amazing texture and details in their arts
10:56 Also me : surprised pikachu face
I never thought about that 🤣
Work smart not hard 👀💅
Ikr! Every time I thought about doing the same I told myself that it was wrong and that no one does that 😭😭 I WAS SO WRONG!! My brain just 🤯
Now I know I can do it without feeling guilty. Thanks Ross!!! ❤️❤️

You literally just blew my mind with that clipping trick on the tree.
I swear I could watch you non-stop, I'm always learning so much by looking at what you're doing
Okay, but this blew my mind! I did not know that concept artists could use actual pictures in their artwork! Very helpful (: thank you!
“Close your eyes”
This is how many people can’t daydream unless their eyes are open. V

I am SO MAD when I saw how easy that was. All these years and that's all it takes.
Same I was shook
i thought this was cheating but idk i do see it as time saving in some cases. it actually amazed me though.
could you please explain how he did that? i tried copying the technique, but i cant seem to figure it out.. im new to photoshop, and im using windows
Good luck!
I really really enjoy watching your videos, good work :)
Ever since I got serious about doing landscapes I did that thing where you close you eyes and envision. I also used to close my ears so I could completely focus. It really helps to devote all of your focus to envisioning the proportion of every line and form.
I love how you treat everything as an asset to paint in the clouds, and you've got such a wonderful inner creativity that really brings that to something new and magical
NOO ! I need more of this classes T.T
This tutorial literally blew my mind. Hell yeah for clipping masks
I really enjoy your content.....keep it up.....and thank you for this....👍
This guy paints so effortlessly while having so much fun!! It's so inspiring
I'm 23 and just picked up drawing as a hobby. Your Videos have been very helpful, thanks!
Yessss I'm so early I've waited for this 😆
The minute I saw Marcus and Carl I started laughing! XD I knew a meme was approaching.
his thumbnails are like... my finished sketches lmao
amazing! I love this tutorial. Backgrounds have always been something I've really struggled. drawing leaves is so boring agh! with but this tutorial helped me 'imagine' and get excited for creating an atmosphere/world! Thanks for being so inspiring! I always come back to this tutorial for inspiration haha!
10:34 This one edit had me spit put my coffee.....Note to self...don't drink anything with sugar while watching your videos anymore. It leads to 5 minutes of laughter...and an 1 hour cleaning my keyboard. Absolutely amazing video. Wonderful tips and amazing skill. Thank you for creating this educational series.
