This masterclass isn't really for beginner artists, it's more for artists who already have strong fundamentals and are looking to get to the next level I believe. Stuff like story boarding is quite advanced. There are plenty of other tutorials on the internet however, for beginner artists to help improve their basics. You need a strong foundation before doing all the fancy stuff after all

I have always been very afraid of trying art. As a kid I was so afraid of failure and looking like a moron I never tried drawing or painting. Instead I took the stance that "You're either born good at art or you're forever trash at it." Recently I've come around to the opposite view and I've been trying to teach myself to draw. I can't even properly shade a sphere yet but the absolute enthusiasm you have for art really inspires me to keep pushing and working. Thank you so much for all of your great content and I hope you get more opportunities like this in the future. Hopefully someday I can get to the point where I can make something I'm proud of, but until then I'll enjoy watching you create masterpieces and learning from them.

As much as it pains me to break up the comment count from 699 (double nice) I have to say that I have never been more distressed being away from my usual drawing setup (currently at my grandma's house instead of home) because this entire series has been incredibly inspiring and just, really makes me want to sit down, design a brand new character, and make a story around them. I've already been really improving with actually rendering my artwork in the last several weeks (mostly because I keep getting inspired by my DND Player Characters XD) but now I just, want to try and expiriment even more, I want to sit down and try to actually paint, to just, sit down and create something I can have fun with and be proud of. Thank you so much for this series and for the metric crap ton of inspiration you've given me in just five videos, you're aces my dude!

Your master.courses were super helpful!! I never really gave much attention to story-telling in my drawings, because i didn't realize how important that it and I learned so much with your videos!
Thank you so much Ross for making these! :D

i don’t know about you all, but personally speaking, it is so, so refreshing to see an artist so verbal, passionate, and *enthusiastic* about creating art. the way ross joyfully unravels his ideas, visions, and methods to produce this whole story, a whole set of characters, is really nice to watch, and i hope to see more artists share and carry such positivity and feel unrestrained when experimenting. :, )
[ really, i’m not saying all artists are bad or not passionate or anything like that, really. but especially for some /younger/ artists, 'more often i see doubt and limitation for experimentation, and it really sucks to see. :, ( ]
i ranted for a min but all i’m saying is that ross has really good content :,p
i hope you all are safe and doing well!
