    Cool - Freddie doing "Funny Bone"...one of his many instrumentals you don't hear often. Great vid of him, along with Gate, Billy Cox, Johnny Jones, etc. and, of course, The Hossman, WLAC's Bill Allen. I read once that King Records owner, Syd Nathan, titled a lot of Freddie's instrumentals with this goofy names, which Freddie hated!

    • @joelsacks210

      @james crowe : James Marshall Hendrix.

    • @joelsacks210
      @joelsacks210 5 лет назад

      @james crowe: Yes, you are correct, sir! I should have been clearer with my statement. What i meant to write was that that Jimi's intro to Come On has a very similar riff pattern to Freddie's Funny Bone intro, and not just because they are both blues-based.

    • @joelsacks210
      @joelsacks210 5 лет назад

      @james crowe Cool. I'm from Montreal. The thing is, I was wrong in my first post about the song title for sure. Those bluesmen would borrow/covet/steal riffs from each other all the time. It's part of their thing.

    • @joelsacks210
      @joelsacks210 5 лет назад

      @james crowe just looked up Earl King on youtube and found the 45rpm of Come On from 1960. Jimi copied the solo pretty close., a testament to Earls' guitar work. Thanks again for the word.
