Ed Sheeran, plays guitar, amazing voice. John legend, plays piano, amazing voice. And while yes, the artists you mentioned do have skills, they aren't the majority. Most of them go under the radar a vast majority of the time. While Jerry's voice may not have been much, you got to remember the man sang without the aide of computers, and the backing track was 100% real instruments. No annoying sound effects, sped up or slowed sounds, synths, annoying fake beats, etc. Just pure music to complement the main course which was Jerry and his piano. Jerry's talent isn't just limited to his piano though, watch him rap and sing country and you can see that despite his 'average' voice, he was still very versatile. Also the tone and energy is something that is seldom seen today. Compare "Bad Guy" by that Eyelash Emo girl to Jerry in this video doing "Whole Lotta' Shaking Going On" One song has unrivaled energy and adrenaline while the other is a depressing beat with a truly awful set of vocals and terrible sound effects tossed in.

One night I accompanied my father in Brussels . He came on business, I came to learn and see some sights, circa 1989. Of course I saw posters for Jerry Lee Lewis concert the very day I came. Pssss... bad luck. BUT! Mr. Jerry Lee IN FLESH came in Brussels Hard Rock Cafe about 23,00h and played for us and himself 'till 2 in the morning!!! I'll never forget it.

Ein sehr schöner Konzert-Ausschnitt - nicht so "schmalzig", wie die Originalsongs, sondern flott und "rockig" dargeboten. So mag ich es hören ! Leider sind nur noch vergleichsweise wenige "gute" Musiker der alten Garde übrig und es ist eine Zeitfrage, wann diese Art von ( Rock- )Musik "überholt" sein wird - hoffentlich erst nach meiner Zeit ! This is music, not the crap so called musicians release today, and this man is a legend along with Elvis - Bill Hayley - Johnny Cash - Roy Orbison - Fats Dominino -, I could list at lot more. but what I want to say is all the ones I have mentioned were pioneers of music, and they had there own style of music, but todays (so musicians) all sound the same.. but thanks to You Tube we can all still listen to real music and not todays rubbish.
