That was superb! I've watched and read countless 40s tutorials by enthusiasts, but here I see the difference of sure-handed, experienced professionals! You achieved exactly the results you expected, and they're wearable for everyone. Now I want the book!
The model in this is so beautiful. She looks like she is enjoying every minute of it. Interested in the book. Does it tell what kind of rollers you are using?
I like more this kind of hair style and makeup too. I liked how you ladies have bring back to life the old beautyfull gold age with your work. Love your work, keep it up, also i hope you doing well.
Absolutely beautiful. Im doing a hair course and trying out these vintage styles. So classy and 'timeless'. Im just about to create an account so I can buy your book, assuming it will ship to Ireland. Thank you ladies, this is a fabulous find for me today. UPDATE! Ive just bought the book. Be here by Friday. I cant wait.
What a gem of a tutorial to find!!! We are doing a Big Band show at our community theater and I am overseeing the costumes and makeup. I will definitely be using this to help creat the authentic look we are going for! Thank you!!!
I love this video and your book! Thank you so much for your efforts! Please keep on doing videos like that. I'm a Hair & Make-Up Artist for film and rarely see such high professionality here on youtube - I can learn so much from you. It's an honour to watch the real Pros. Btw, Louise Young, lots of your brushes are a staple in my kit. XOXO from Austria
Your young girl style was super cute! Very classy. I'd like a tip on how to make the lips last longer than a photo.I've tried the powder blotting jazz...
Great video and book! Thank you ! Are there anymore videos on the way relating to the book? Really nice to see a further visual representation of the styles and looks.
Thank you for sharing your expertise with us, I feel so inspired now! May I ask what the difference is between pins and grips? You mentioned it specifically on the last hairstyle and I'm not sure which is which. I know of 2 types, 1 is flat on one side and curvy up against that, the other is more "tuning fork" v shaped, which is which please?? Please excuse my lack of knowledge and I hope your description makes sense. Many thanks in advance for your help 😊
Thank you! The upswept front was called a "Victory Roll" & UK women specifically wore red lipstick because it was known Mr Hitler hated women wearing make up! All part of the War Effort!! 1939 to 1945.
This is hands down the best 1940's hair and makeup tutorial I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you! We are planning some more :) x
