Hello Brittany! My wife and I watched this video several times. We spent Christmas morning working through the process (with less than ideal tools), and it was a lot of fun! We went out for a nice dinner & she got to show off her stunning new hairdo. Thank you for your fun and easy to follow instructions. It helped us have a wonderful date❤️ I hope to get her some good wands like what you’re using.
I was looking up the cast from Wingin' It and came across this channel - love your videos! My sister and I really liked you in Wingin' It when we were kids and it's great to know you're still producing content. The fact that you might actually read this comment is crazy exciting, thanks for being wonderful!
I have to do a wet set because my hair won't hold a curl from an iron. There wasn't electrical curling irons back then, either. They had literal irons from an hearth.
How long did this take you? I am super inexperienced so want to give myself longer time than you probably did but need to do a retro look for stage makeup and would like to do this. Thanks for the tutorial, you explained things really well!
Can I use foam rollers and leave them overnight instead? The reason I’m here is that I’ve really loved watching 1940s beauty programs. I love the fashion and the style of the 40s. It’s so pretty in my opinion. I believe that others will probably be very disapproving.
It's a pretty look, but I want to point out these aren't 1940s victory rolls. You made some lovely large pin curls, but victory rolls are entirely different. Overall, this is a more "1940s inspired" look than an authentic style. Anyway, looks nice!
You need to curl the hair horizontally rather than vertically for an authentic vintage look, otherwise you end up with ringlets like you have here. 👍🏻😊

I HAATE curling irons that you wrap around and chances to burn 🔥 your 💅🏼 fingers! I got one and 3 fingered 🥊 glove sucks.

Was looking for a comment pointing out the difference between victory rolls and pin curls. Thank you @Chris S.!!
I don't know if I want to do the other half....me too
Best look was the 1940s hands down.
you look like peggy Carter with the hair and lipstick
You are BE-YOU-TI-FULLLLLL😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Does anyone’s arms hurt after doing this from raising your arms up for so long? No? Just me? 😅😅
You look beautiful but in the 1940s women would never have loose curls
Are you British or American? Xxx
Amarican
Gene Tierney often had loose curls, another is Ava Gardner and also Lauren Bacal all rocked often looser curls..
