I'm very sad about what happened with Huawei. They were truly the best in the industry. My Mate 20 Pro was probably the best phone I ever had. I have a P40 Pro now. I manage without GMS but sometimes it isn't perfect. The cameras however are still amazing and keeping up well with even new phones.
I still have my Huawei Mate20 Pro. It is almost 6 years and still works well. The only issues are the power button and volume rocker that need to be replaced. I stopped buying Huawei because of the Google issue so I am now using Samsung S23 Ultra but if Huawei will have Google again, I still prefer it.
My Mate 20 X 4G was the best phone EVER, it literally had everything you ever need inside it. Owned Mate 40 Pro just for the camera, but lack of GMS was killing it badly.

Yes, that's true. I've seen lots of extreme tests where they use it to crack nuts, nails, or something. Haha, I didn't dare to do that because I have to return the phone to Giztop. Hahah.

Samsung had it on the Galaxy S4 (air gestures) where images in the gallery would pop up for a preview by hovering your finger over it, eye scrolling for reading, swiping etc. I love Huawei 🙂 been with them over 6 years now, but nothing new here 🙃
Saw it in Shenzhen but didn't see you Sami. Could of bought a white one in stock but saw the HONOR Magic V2 and think it suits my needs better. Also has a better screen than the Xiaomi Fold3 IMO without all that banding.

Huawei has Satellite Communication and it can connect on Mainland China ! This is interesting as in rural areas where there is no Telcom Providers and Huawei mate 60 pro can connect absolutely Good . Huawei is the real killer to other Smartphones. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

the satellite communication is not just for china. it covers asia europe and part of africa. but you need to pay for the service, which is offered by a chinese provider. if one wants to use that caacity outside of china he needs to find a way or friend to pay for that satellite service.
I have used only Huawei phones and other devices for many many years; and also my family and company only Huaweis. I have used this Mate 60 Pro (1 tera) phone now 4 months and it really fulfils the needs of heavy business user! (Gaming I have not used since 1997 with my Nokia 6110 the Snake-game; and of that I have zero experience.)

Will probably depend on the chip situation, if it's truly in mass production then you'll probably see them go somewhat global (most likely not in US/EU).

I'm using MatePad Pro harmony OS 4 right now. Good news: we can use gbox(I'm using it), gspace or 出镜易 these apps to install google app store. Bad news: Huawei has confirmed that next generation Harmony Next will not support andriod apps. I hope there will be a solution.

As a long time iPhone user, I am interested in learning if Harmony OS can install Google softwares, including gmail, google map and youtube, without which the Huawei phone is useless outside China. Also the fact that the satellite calling is limited to China and its immediate surroundings hampers its excitement. All thing considered, it is quite an achievement for Huawei to pull this off under US chip sanction, but it is not enough to persuade people from switching phone from other brand, particularly iPhone.
A phone without Gmail, Google maps and RUclips is useless? What if one doesn’t use those to begin with? Btw, Google Maps installs without any problems directly from AppGallery and for RUclips, I create a link to browser version on the home screen.

this phone is superior to iPhone14 in every way. Better camera. The AI functionality is crazy. Search in ur gallery for whatever (is red car) it will show them. Just has to be in Chinese. It has lot of google pixel 8 AI features including concierge answering. The camera is absolute king. The portrait skin tone is unbeatable and the macro is crazy. Plus it has AI object recognition adjusting settings.
I got such device that was sent to our company and was not impressed at all. Regarding performance, it's worse in every aspect then the ZenFone 8 I'm using right now (it's an unremarkable 2021 flagship). It also got hot sometimes making the touchscreen less responsive. On Software side, no GMS, many apps I use missing and normal VPNs or TOR also missing. Also, lots of ads and bloatware. This device is supposedly with similar pricing to the iPhone, Galaxy S23 ultra or last year's ROG.
Unlike with Mate 50 Rs Porsche vs Mate 50 Pro , where as far as i can remember one of the camera modules were different , basically Mate 60 Rs Ultimate and Mate 60 Pro are exactly the same , excluding the design of course ?
In China payment is mostly done by QR code using wechat. It foolish to think the camera is always on and the phone power consumption doesn't point to that. Nothing drains battery faster than using the camera. If the battery 🔋 doesn't drain fast. It is a new feature that you have to learn not a surveillance system.

I feel suspicious that even with Mate50 (prev ver). Mate 60 pro doesnt pass. Something is different with this model.

They are also building their ecosystem alongside it. They survived since 2019 till date without Google it means we can as well.
