About an hour south from Cognixion/Santa Barbara is Dr. Andrew Hill's Brain Peak Lab in Culver City, where he uses QEEG and Neurofeedback to help people... ex. pirHEG , Wiz , Neurobit , fnirs Mendi , Fluxwear Shift, and Flowtime Headband.
One thing where the patent attorney among your clients has to correct you: Apple's US 2023/0225659 A1 is NOT a Patent, yet. It is only the Publication of an Application. In other words, the USPTO has received the request to grant a Patent, but has not issued a Patent. The Application was PUBLISHED on July 20. 2023. Apple FILED this Patent Application half a year before that date, on January 09, 2023. Almost a year before, Apple had filed a Provisional Application on January 14, 2022.

Amazing. This kind of interaction must feel very invasive. I assume that people will have to adapt to these new technologies once headset usage becomes common. The way we understand privacy will be completely demolished, and the vast majority of people will probably be ok with it because of the immense benefits that this brings along.
Nice video but a lot of click-bait by mentioning that it's more advanced than the Vision Pro. SSVEP (the flashing lights) has been around for decades but hasn't caught on because not everyone wants flashing lights in the their UI - can get frustrating. I understand the market that Cognixion is going for and using SSVEP makes sense here. Although for the everyday user SSVEP lags far behind just simple eye-tracking (in terms of accuracy and speed), and hence I think the title does not do justice to Vision Pro's capabilities. And by saying that Apple is playing catch up by integrating EEG into AirPods is also click-bait. Let's not forget that integrating electrodes into an AirPod's in-ear cushion is a tremendous feat, which no one has obviously done before or Apple would not have that patent.
I also believe that for BCI's to become mainstream (and Cognixion is going in a good general direction here), one must go beyond SSVEPs, or P300s, or Mental-imagery based BCI paradigms.
