Why not ask chatgpt for the python analysis code, save it and run it on your local machine...then you can process all data, and since a dataframe is the primary source of calculation...the analysis could really be performed on any machine...no GPU necessary 🙏
@CodyRallMD Hi Cody! I first started watching your videos in 2019-2020.
A lot of things have changed in four years, haven't they? Neither I nor, I'm guessing, you saw how fast artificial intelligence would advance, and that looks to change the game a lot faster than we thought when I first encountered your videos in 2019-2020.
I have severe OCD, and sometime later this year, I am going to get focused ultrasound on a tiny, tangled mass of circuitry in my brain using 100 beam of 5 mm ultrasound that converge on the problem area in my brain and break it up. The area will be located by performing an fMRI at the same time. If it works, patients report a 40% reduction in symptoms, often seeing change within a few days. The reduction takes place over a whole year as your whole brain rewires around the rewired circuits.
The first patient _ever_ in the world to get this procedure was at a Toronto hospital in 2017. I live two hours away, so I'm very fortunate.

Now think of what will happen when _this_ technology is available as a wearable.
Here's Shinzen Young using focused ultrasound to modulate his basal ganglia, with amazing results:

Also, here's a presentation by a Zen teacher on the Buddhist way to approach the possibilities and dangers opened up by AI:

You'd have to swallow the "suggests" bait and buy in. 500 rejects most skeptics. The placebo effect is strong with this one.
500 dollars? that price is a bit crazy... shipping to europe another +80!? i understand that there are also sw and research costs... but you also have that with every other product. i find the pricing extremely unreasonable - someone seems to be suffering from profit addiction ;)
I found it insanely cheap for a device of this exceptional quality. Also the myriad of sessions are free (and I honestly think they should charge extra for them, because they are top tier too).
@@mario-pv8ss I've seen these types of comments before, I used to think the same as an engineer. But it's hard to start from scratch and build a company, and millions are spent for most of them just to launch any product. some of them are cheap because they sell millions of them, some cost more because they sell on a good year hundreds of products. but you still need the staff, the building etc. this is why non-mainstream stuff is expensive, and why its fun and interesting.
Mindplace Kasons and other devices paired with audio tracks like from the “Neuroprogammer” software series has been doing this for decades. My first device I got 2004. This tech did work - but it usually takes longer sessions for the brainwave entrainment to work. What is nice about the light AND the sound is that it getting double the stimulation for better induction.
Excellent research
Another way to get this therapy is to watch any live Pretty Lights RUclips videos…you’re welcome😊!
I like wearables like this one but I prefer the mountable devices. They give so much more 3D depth to all my sessions, and devices like the LiBa magnify flashes warm and cold lights as well.
That coupled with the fact that I can pause the frequencies I enjoy, is making the LiBa my go to device for my light sessions
"And since I'm not ready to cut open my brain to see if there's any plaques in there...", totally cracked me up! To be sure, when you look at what's available in terms of Rx for all cognitive impairments (elder or otherwyse), any device, approach or practice is well received. I've worked in that population and I can tell you that I REALLY don't want to suffer from neurological deficit...anything that might help, I'm in, but damn...500$!? (100$ off with the link, but still expensive for flashing lights (that's been around for, quite a while actually).
You’ll probably delete this but here goes. Appreciate the video and information. My comments on NeuroVIZR - how do they handle the digital signal processing and the EMG artifact that comes from frontal lobe sensors? Again, interpretation of results is limited by the accuracy of the initial dataset.
Appreciate your cautionary comments about potential reactions to strobing light effects, especially for people with epilepsy, strong reactions to strobing light and appreciate that they do include a solid contraindication warning: “Contra indications:
Do not use if diagnosed with epilepsy or any other seizure disorder.
Do not use if suffering from acute photo- sensitivity.
Do not use if suffering from any acute eye disorder.
Do not use if suffering from acute vertigo. Do not use if suffering from acute psychosis
Good stuff. Food for thought BUT always concerned about claims made with these non-regulated, non-medical devices. Cheers! 🙏
Which sensors?
@@martindoppelerpunkt9824, I replied to you about an hour or so ago and now no longer see my reply. Do you see it or did you get the reply before it disappeared?

How does it compare to roXiva? This is 1/10th the price, making it very interesting...
NeuroVIZR is much less expensive than Roxiva ($500 NeuroVIZR vs $5,000 Roxiva) and very close to the same experience in terms of the "light show" for an individual user. I really enjoyed the sound tracks as well. Also the app on NeuroVIZR is much easier to navigate than the analog controls on the back of the Roxiva lamp. Also you had to mount the heavy Roxiva lamp on a tripod (not included) whereas the NeuroVIZR comes with a head strap that is easy to use.
On the topic on Light & Sound Devices, I would like to hear if you have looked into Mind Alive's David Delight Device and any thoughts you have on it.
What is looking at a 60hz display doing to our brainwaves?
What device do you send the Muse Headband data to? Do you run the Muse on your phone or tablet or PC?
I am waiting for my Muse to arrive, my plan is to use an LG 60V smart phone with a 1TB data card to run the device.
The data will sync with my Google One account on the cloud. Thanks for the video! 😎👍
I link my Muse with my iPad that is running the MindMonitor software on it. Then the Mind Monitor app uploads it to my dropbox. I then can download that file to my MacBook Pro computer and do the analysis with ChatGPT. It's a process but I am trying to come up with something more streamlined with my developer for the Techforpsych audience to use.
Is there a device that synchronizes brain waves with sound and light simultaneously?. i saw this on the exorcist movie 2
Awesome, have been looking forward to this all week!
Glad you liked it!
That price though... Jeez! $500
Yep nothing is cheap these days. But it is obvious that they put so much work into the software and soundscapes too. It's not just about the hardware.
500 is nothing
I know... it's waaaay to cheap. They should charge $1000 for the device and a membership fee for their sessions. Let's hope they can stay in business with this cheap price for such a high end product, where others that have way less features charge $5000
Just bought one... It arrived 2 days ago. Fantastic device, and I have over 20 years of experience using light and sound devices...
See the link for purchasing the device in the description. It contains a 20% discount which brought the price down to $420.00. Well worth the investment, in my opinion...
Hmm still too early, would like to see more data and reviews
the price is rather steep
Love this!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the info, I’ve been using the Vielight duo with both alpha and gamma settings, and while I don’t have a lab like yourself, I have been feeling better - can you perhaps comment, compare, etc.?
Good thought! I might have to test out Vielight to see
Great video! How does this product compare to the Braintap?
I am putting out a video this weekend (Saturday) that will answer that question!
@@CodyRallMD Thanks for responding! I'll be looking for it
"There are four lights!"
Has Waverox been reviewed on this channel ? Anyone know ?
No, I'll have to look into it!
Can we use a flash light strobe app on a smartphone?
Good question. It doesn't seem like the light will be strong large enough to have the same effect but I don't think anyone knows for sure.
There's an app called Lumenate that does exactly this
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to write program and make sessions with the Neurovizr like it is possible with other device (Kasina, Roxiva, etc...) ? Or can we just use what is provided and have no access to session making ?
I am not aware of any access to writing the programs but it is a good question! I will have to ask them, thanks!
wow
What did you like about it Brett?
@@CodyRallMD just amazing we are achieving this level of impact with something as simple as some flashing lights. This has the potential to be bigger than psychedelics assuming there is good research backing it of course.
@@brettyoung4379 Yes Brett, I am very much hoping that their work continues to bear fruit!
This is such a cool niche you've carved out here, man, and you're so perfectly qualified to be the person talking about it. Just found your channel, really loving this stuff.
Thanks Austin, I appreciate it! Really glad you are enjoying the content.
this is really cool and is fully in-line with my personal experience using the neurovizr, i experience more flexebility in learning, more control over mood and an overall delightfull experience. i think its also due to the overal brightness and color spectrum of the leds that seem to surpass anything else ive ever tried.
Whoa that's great feedback, thanks Christian
Couldn't agree more. From dozens of devices I've tried over the past 30 years, the Vizr is the clear winner by far.
@@atmosblack4366 It's in its own league, with good content that is getting better all the time, its been amazing to see how the experience has evolved over the 2 years that I have had one, the app is slick and easy to use, its been really good value for me
Price is too much for this. Can't wait for someone to clone this into something more reasonable.
Dr Cody, thank you for giving us updated information in this very exciting field. I am very tempted to buy neuroVIZR, I previously had sessions with Lucia and Roxiva. How would you compare NeuroVizr to Roxiva? Thank you!
Awesome work as usual but the linked video at the very end doesn't link to other similar device reviews. It links to using chat gpt for graphing EEG output.
The "Versus" video in comparison to Roxiva and BrainTap will be posted this Saturday :)
Thank you for bringing and testing this kind of devices by yourself, I think they just want to revamp the 40Hz multisensory stimulation impact on the CSF then speed up washing out beta amyloid and other wastes - but not on AD pathology, in fact, try to work on MCI or Healthy controls
Thanks Jason, I honestly think that we could all benefit from devices like this
Wonder if it affected sleep architecture after use?
Great question. I should test it with the Muse S
The Kasina Mind Media System by Mindplace has lights and sounds that you can program to different frequencies or you can use their presets (40 Hz, etc)
Thanks I'll check it out!
Reminds me of the vr apps like Tripp it would be cool if someone could measure what those apps do to brain waves
Good point!
Thank you for this. Perhaps, if you find the need to, review the LiBa Magnify as part of this research.
I will look into it! Thanks for the suggestion James.
BrainTap?
The information you provide and discounts to these innovative devices, Dr Cody, is invaluable! I love your open-mindedness, yet quest for evidence to support the use of these new neuro-stimulating devices that can be hyped so in their advertising. Thank-you very much! If only youth and even adults saw you as their role model instead of some celebrity that behaves without real integrity and intelligence like you!
Such kind words! Thank you very much.
i am your fan and i am thinking of doing business with you.to import your products to japan.
microdosing light is the dumbest thing ever
Not if you read the science on it...

@prototype9000 , I microdose light every morning... I have macular degeneration in my eyes. I use red & infrared light on my eyes for 3 minutes in the morning, and it has made a huge positive difference. The protocol I use was found on PubMed.
Great review Thank you! I have all 3 devices and concurr with results. Please post follow-up vid!🥸
Beautiful, that's great to hear Cory.
