@@agreatundertaking I can't explain everything but I can tell you that there is an episode of The Twilight Zone called The Howling Man. In this episode a man meets an imprisoned man and must decide whether to let him go or not when the monks claim he is the Devil. It seems that Ben being in the wrong dimension caused everything he touched to become cursed. As the brought the "bad guy" back in season 2 I am wondering if they would have answered these questions more thoroughly.
Oh, but as someone with a bit of music history and historical tuning background, you're right! The musical schisma is a very interesting take on this phenomenon! Stripped of as much jargon as I can manage - early in the history of European music, the way of tuning things resulted in non-equal distribution of acoustic frequencies between some (seemingly the same) intervals (the ones described as not "pure"). Consequently, tones that should be one another's equivalent (were noted and/or treated as such) did NOT sound the same. Schisma is this difference. Off enough to easily notice, but not enough to describe. It's a really useful and beautiful thing in interpretation of old "classical" European pieces (before the mid-18th century). But I can easily imagine how "hearing the schisma", constantly experiencing it on all frequencies of reality, would feel like, and the thought itself fills me with deep, physical sense of dread.
WOW!!!! Thank you so much for this insight, and for breaking it down in a way that a layman such as myself could understand. This is fascinating and definitely makes me feel like I might have actually had the right idea! I greatly appreciate your thoughts and input! THANK YOU!
I watched the season years ago and admittedly remember very little probably because I didn't put it all together either. Watching your video makes me think of a thinney in castlerock. If I remember right from the dark tower they did make an ethereal type sound. As always love the video, appreciate your time and effort
I actually liked the Castle Rock TV series, and since the dark tower basically connects his books with the multiverse, I’d like to think this series is canon in a way that it’s a different universe from the books, maybe a different path of the beam (maybe the schizma is a thinny and the character Skarsgard plays is secretly another version of Flagg? Those are just my theories)
Someone else had mentioned the thinny and I felt like such a schmuck for not seeing it for myself! Great theories though. It honestly makes a great deal of sense.
The Schisma is a thinny. Like in Wizard and Glass. Look at how thinnies affect people and animals in that book, it's exactly the same. Yay, Dark Tower stuff!
I too was left confused by the end of Season 1. I too wish someone would explain it to me. I'm glad Season 2 went in a new direction and was easy to follow.
As always awesome work buddy great video. I really liked this season but I'm with you I don't really understand it, however I also think that's strangely one of the things that made it good. Just at shot in the dark but I wonder if the schizma is the same as the rip in time in the Langeliers, but to a lesser degree. Hope yall are well and I'll catch you on the next one.
Ya know, someone else had suggested that it was the “thinny” from the Dark Tower books, but I hadn’t considered the Langoliers! Good call! Definitely a possibility. Thanks Jamie. Take it easy and I’ll see ya next time!
Hi Mr Doyle. Really fun video. I think season 1 leaned too hard on the AHS format and did some weird for weird’s sake. But it was fun and really well acted. Excited for your thoughts on Tommyknockers, one of my favorite King books. Gardner is right up there with Danny as one of my favorite King protagonists. And saw the pic of your Misery stage production. Looks like you all put on a heck of a show! Take care!
Yeah it’s def less… gruesome and sex heavy than AHS, but I see what you mean. Tommyknockers is a favorite, and I’ll never understand why people don’t like it!
I have not watched this show yet but I am going to check it out, I heard they have Jerusalem's Lot/Salem's Lot in there somewhere, about to listen to both reviews now man..
Cant wait for the Tommyknockers review in a few weeks.
I’m excited for that one too. It’s a great book!
I absolutely enjoyed season 1 of castle rock 😊
Me too! Even if I’m still not sure what’s going on lol

Hey Gale! I was not aware of the Twilight Zone episode, but now that you mention it… it does sound eerily familiar.
Thanks for ANOTHER Great Video, and you're Doppelgänger was ALSO Great as the Father in The Black Phone. 😀
Lol I haven’t seen The Black Phone yet. I def intend to watch it though. Thanks, my friend!
I loved the cast in season 1. They were all phenomenal. The season was weird, but in a good way.
Def a strong cast. No question about that. I thought the season was predominantly a strong one!

The thinney! Of course! I’m such a dunce. That’s exactly what it is. They don’t show it, but everything adds up.
Thanks Ryan! I appreciate it!

I’m glad I’m not alone in that. Season 2 was certainly easier to digest.
had same puzzlements as you did, Mr. Doyle. Guess we are Big Doodies......
Big Old Doodie Heads
Hi Mr. Doyle, I skipped Castle Rock but since you did not say it was a burning pile of trash, I think I will check it out. 🤔😁
Hahahaha it’s not a monumental disaster by any means. Worth the watch for sure!

I worked on this show. It was filmed around the corner from my house. I still don't understand it. It took forever to get going
Yeah I don’t get it, but I did enjoy trying to figure it out!

It’s a good show, man! Just go into it with an open mind. It’s inspired by King stories, but only loosely based on the original stories.
Hope you are doing good brother 🤘 I am having some rough health problems with my legs and going through some minor surgeries, hopefully it will help..
Damn man, I’m sorry to hear that. You having a hard time getting around?
