I have Bach in Business administration and have been working as Accountant for past 10 year in the biotech and pharma space. What are your thoughts ? I am computer literate and worked on many software.
I have a BS in Business Administration, but have very little relevant experience for business analysis. So, I've just started an MBA with a dual major in business analytics and operations management in hopes of getting a competitive edge. Fingers crossed. This video makes me wonder if an MBA would be overkill for a new BA.
Business "Analysis" and Business "Analytics" are 2 different things which confuses everyone Blake. The one you are pursuing (MBA in Business analytics) is related to 'data analytics', which clearly have a different job role from a person who has done business 'analysis' related degree.
@@adigur agreed, and that will be used in conjunction with my business consulting and process improvement experience for a BA role, or at least that's the goal.
@@adigurI only just found out today that business analyst and business analytics are different. Are you able to define the difference between the two and what degree/courses/skills are needed for a business ANALYST. Thank you
It was really helpful , thank u so mch , I have just one question I did my bachelors in commerce ( Business) Am planning to join for technical college for a diploma or smtng, Which course would u suggest me to take to have a good base to become a BA ??
Thank you so much Jeremy for all of the amazing content!! Very informative, while also accessible. I was just wondering,do you think a bachelors in business administration is a good way to become a business analyst?
Okay, thank you for your video. Only one question, I'm a master of law, and usually, employers want some degrees related to business and marketing or IT. What do you think about guys like me, who want to change a career and have a degree as dentists or lawyers?
Anton Tokar While business or IT degrees are more sought after, you absolutely can use any bachelor's degree to qualify for most positions. The key will be identifying and leveraging your BA skills in the interview.
I'm also has a law degreem but have bben working for 5 years as a BA, so if i want to become a BA it is more important to show yourself as a man who has knowledge in this sphere, rather than having exact degree related to BA occupation :)
Hi Jeremy! Your videos are very helpful! I am taking my Computer Science and Math double major in college. and I am about to graduate and take another Business Analytics program for postgraduate next year. Do you have any suggests for finding a job right out of postgraduate? I have only interns but not real work experiences. Any advice for getting a BA job directly? If not, what kind of jobs would you suggest before transitioning into BA? Thank you in advance!
Thanks so much. I graduated Business Administration with Associate's Degree, should I study Graduate Diploma Business Information System to become Business Analyst or I should study Bachelor of Information and Communication Technologies.
I certainly don't think you are too old. I personally would go with whatever degree you are more passionate and interested in. Both of those degrees would be okay, but neither really stands out as overly beneficial towards becoming a Business Analyst.
@@Thebaguide I just graduated with a degree in history, 3.0 GPA. I'm interested in this position, do you recommend getting a Master's in business analysis or trying to find work experience instead?
Hi Jeremy. Is it possible for a person without any technical knowledge or any understanding of any coding or language to pursue this career of Business analyst as I am an educator and don't know the technicalities of an IT or IT company. I have a very plain background of teaching and coordinating. Pls suggest..
Thanks Jeremy for making this video.. I've just completed my bachelor in stream of biomedical engineering and now I planning to do my masters in business analytics so is it possible to get admission in good college?
Mona Alfardi - Yes, absolutely. This will work especially well if you look for business analysis work in the healthcare field. Lots of hospitals and doctor offices rely on the work of Business Analysts for them to suceed.
Omg! Trust me I searched for many videos and I'm glad I landed on your video, this was such a helpful video!!!thank you! 💯
