I’m so glad I discovered your course Jeremy. I just started them this week via Udemy, and I begin the first leg of my BA career next week. Your modules are so easy to understand and I feel a lot more confident going in on my first day! Thank you for great content.
Thank you for the insight. I am a sophomore year student and currently pursuing Computer Science Engineering. But I want to be a BA. So if I get into any internship, will it get added to my years of experience? It will be great if you help me out.
Hi Chiranjit, yes, internships provide you experience and a way to practice your business analysis skills. And experience and skills are both helpful when you are looking for a permanent position. Unfortunately, we do not have any internships available.
Great video. Can you please do one for new business analysts who've just landed their first BA roles? How should we prepare for that first week or month?
Its not about leaning through course or anything it does land you a job as an experienced person. The interviewer definitely acknowledge that you have mugged up or learned the concepts rather than having real hands on experience. So it doesn't works out and all depends on ur luck.
Thanks for your reply Jose. I'm not quite able to follow your comment completely but wanted to respond anyway. During my 7+ years as a Business Analyst hiring manager, I've hired a lot of people with no BA work experience. Every one of those hires showed me they had the skills, drive, business analysis knowledge, and the right personality to fit in the company I was hiring for. Now if I am looking for an experienced BA with 2+ years of experience, you are correct, I likely will not be hiring someone with 0 years as a Business Analyst. There are a few key points. If you want to become a BA, you need to know the knowledge of business analysis. Without that, you have no chance. You also need to ensure you are applying for the right positions. If you have 0 years experience, don't apply for the positions looking for 2+ years. Instead, find the Junior Business Analyst role that is looking for someone with little to no work experience. I'll leave you with this. Hard work often looks a lot like luck from the outside. I wish you nothing but the best!
