Absolutely! The CBAP is one of the most sought-after certifications in the BA space. It can certainly help you when you are looking to make a change to another organization or a negotiating point at your next salary increase meeting.
BCS comes in a very close 3rd place to the IIBA and PMI. In fact, with some of their rework they did a year(?) or so ago, I also have been starting to recommend them as well.
I'm currently researching to switch my career path to business anaylist and I'm coming from a management position with an engineering degree. Is it a good idea to get the entry level IIBA cert to give me a running start towards BA entry jobs?
Yes, the ECBA certification is a great place to start. This shows you are serious about the career switch to Business Analyst and will give you the confidence (and some of the knowledge) to help you perform in that role.
THANK YOU, THEN PMI PBA WORKS FOR ME
I'd add the BCS International BA Diploma to this for anyone from the UK / Europe
It’s very UK Centric though.
For someone with close to 15 years of BA experience would CBAP add any benefits to getting hired or getting higher pay ? Thanks!
