I'm new in the business analytics world and I just finished a data analysis bootcamp... Currently I'm a little lost and I have no clear road map to assess my next step. I was thinking about doing a coursera course... But now, after viewing the video, I feel that an IIBA should be my next step... OMG I'm lost. Thanks for the video! Easy to follow, very interesting and very useful! Kind regards.
Can I suggest you watch a few more videos and make sure you understand what is business analysis vs. business analytics vs. data analytics first? This will help you work out and clarify your goals. Then feel free to get in touch and I can help with more advice on your roadmap.
@@BAExcellence thank you for your response. I didn't even consider the difference between business analysis and business analytics... I thought they were the same. I'll do more research. By any chance do you have more videos explaining that?

Hi I’m new here and I have a very high interest in becoming a business analyst. I’m torn between doing the boot camp ( tripple Ten business intelligent business analyst certification) and the IIBA certification for an entry level. As I have no degree and really would love to get into business analyst what would be the best option please?
For PMI, would they consider my experience letter from my company stating that I was working as a Business Analyst in that company for 5 years or collective experience of 5 years in different companies? How exactly do we prove it?
The way it works for IIBA (I haven't done the PMI application myself but I think it is similar) is you complete an online application where you enter your project experience as a BA in terms of dates, what you did at a high level and who can verify it (like a PM's contact details). They may then verify this with your contact references you provided. I would be surprised if they require a letter, it is certainly not required with the IIBA process. Hope that helps a bit. Don't hesitate to contact the PMI directly, I am sure they can answer this for you a 100%.
Yes, you can earn CDUs by attending workshops and events relating to Business Analysis. The specific number of CDUs will depend on the event and whether it was endorsed by the IIBA or not.

Hello. Thank you for your video. I’m in Cybersecurity and am a Business Analyst. It will be 2 years in this role come January. Do you suggest the CCA? I’m a Cybersecurity Sr. BA because I’ve been at my company for 21 years, mainly in finance. I want to become Cyber BA principal. Any suggestions?
Hello I am currently pursuing undergrad at university of north Texas majoring in business analytics. My questions is which will be the best for entry level student for landing a job?
For entry level, the best industry certificate to start with that is also recognised in the US, will be the ECBA (from the IIBA). Just keep in mind that no certificate will ever guarantee finding a job though, it can only help build your professional profile.
Hi there - definitely. ECBA is the entry level Business Analysis industry certificate and BAs all work on technology projects in different capacities. Learn more here: baexcellence.com/products/ecba-business-analysis-foundation-course
Hi, Are the course contents/syllabus for IIBA and BCS the same? What I mean is will the areas covered and the topics on which one will be tested be the same?
Whilst the general content is the same, the IIBA tends to cover a broader spectrum of Business Analysis that my experience of the BCS exams. So if you decide to do both sets of exams (IIBA and BCS) you will need to study the curriculums separately to pass each exam but some content will overlap.
Sure, you can do the Business Analysis Practitioner Course (24 PD hours) and the Business Analysis Master Practitioner Course (16 PD hours) from baexcellence.com - these IIBA endorsed courses also counts as PMI contact hours.
Are you referring to the requirements for CBAP? If you are, you need 5 years + experience performing tasks aligned to the BABOK Guide. You don't need to have the role title of "Business Analyst" for 5 years however, make sure to check out the specific minimum hours per knowledge area in the BABOK guide ;)!

Is Business Anlysis as a course a good start when one wants to transition into IT?
I know that PMI allows you to attend workshops and events to earn points towards your renewal of certification does the IIBA do something similar

Please is it required to have a degree before pursuing a business analysis career ?
I just finished High school ❤
No, but a degree can make it easier to enter the corporate job market. However, you can build a successful career as a BA without a degree too.
Is ECBA certification can also have a scope in bio IT field? Please let me know soon so that i could take up ECBA course
