love the different parts of the world and musical inspirations for the themes of each elder dragon with the same skeleton as velkhana • toaster gets a mix of medieval european influences and feels almost like a roman gladiator too, in rise he gets more middle eastern which works surprisingly well • kushala has hints of romantic era classical Russian music and x files type alien mystery • velkhana's kind of just West European classical music (feels more French than from other parts of europe) • Vaal is big boy gothic European man
velkhana was the monster that fucked up my patience the most so far, but I have to say... I really like the monster's design and I also loved its soundtrack, although it has its negative points, it relieved me in certain things.

I love how every song in MonHun builds either tension or oppression. In this case, though, this song really doesn't fit the "traditional" Monster Hunter song. Instead it's this regal, almost-march that sounds way too grandiose. Almost like Velkhana knows it's better than you, and doesn't need to regard you, or anything else for that matter, with anything other than sheer pretention.

I'm hunting it, right? I'm in the middle of thrashing it when suddenly the music changes to an unfamiliar theme. I kid you not, a whole ass VELKHANA shows up and stabs me, and I get fainted. On a Kulu-Ya-Ku hunt. Embarrassing.

I have quite the long story with MH. I first started with gen, then moved to 3U(really loved this one), after clearing 3U i moved to p3rd; when i was done with p3rd i moved to GU, and then to 4U. After clearing all of those i finally got a decent graphics card and played both WorldBorne and rise(not sunbreak, i'll play that one on the switch). The point is that, out of all those games, only 4 monsters have made me say: "fuck this i'll try tomorrow." Those monsters are 3U's BrachyDIOs and Lagiacrus, Yian Garuga, and guess who? Velkhana. So at least for me, having one of the monsters that made me sweat is nice and got me all pumped to fight against an old rival. Sumarized, welcome back old friend.
You will never understand the pain of ice of velkhana when I first fought her with her ice tracks and stabbing tails and the climate delaying some of my energy 😩

With her being announced for sunbreak I HOPE they don't copy /paste her iceborne theme into sunbreak. They have more than enough resources to re-arrange this theme into a rise/sunbreak style

@@JGuy97 Insect Glaive is a hard counter to Velkhana's breath and supernova, so you really only have to worry about their physical attacks.
