- Lunastra is a dragon with leonine features and a cool coloration. It has a prominent mane, large fangs, and a distinct crest that resembles a sort of crown. Its wings are covered in fur. It is the female counterpart to Teostra. They are known to inhabit hot areas such as volcanoes and deserts, and are specially adapted to utilizing the Fire Element.

fighting lunastra is like riding a bike, except the bike is lunastra and youre using insect glaive with high elderseal and her wings are weakspots instantly obliteraring any chance she has of doing her super attack
@@Kazuhira2249 If Elder Seal wasn't a garbage mechanic that elder dragons could just negate immediately after being applied to it, and if Lunastra wasn't covered in broken hitboxes like her disjointed tail flick or her charge, then I'd be inclined to agree. I'd had Lunastra hunts where she gets depowered by Elder Seal, immediately flares back up, and goes straight for the supernova.
Lunastra is a freaking beast in the movie (She nearly took out the entire hunting party and the villagers without even using her full power)
I think a swift breeze could take anything down from the movie.
Like, for example, the ratings.

@@brandond2341 The Jho scene was fun to watch, but Jho seemed pretty weak in it despite being strong enough to battle elder dragons, fart monkey should have been annihilated almost instantly. The scene would have fit better with Anjanath, even if he's a New World exclusive (but he's in some Old World locales in Rise so maybe it wouldn't be that in accurate.) That aside, I think the film was good, especially compared to the dumpster fire that was the live action movie. The writing is fine, but feels a bit rushed at times, the cgi leaves a bit to be desired but it's clear that it wasn't really a huge priority project. Overall, while note a masterpiece (which is understandable) it's solid as a Monster Hunter film and enjoyable.

@@reallycantthinkofausername487 elders dragons can live for a very longtime so and are never or rarely actively hunted because they’re rare so I don’t think that teostras would be extinct.

Had no idea so many people didn't like fighting Lunastra in World. It may be hard as hell, but I thought it was incredibly cool.
She's not really hard, but annoying

I admit I had an unreasonably big amount of hatred for it for a few months, but then I beat that repel quest...
Lunastra is one of the most unforgiving, deadly, annoying, impossible and overall absurdly hard monsters in world. She is literally the only non-raid non-event monster that kicks my butt every time I fight it. But that's why I love her so much, it's such a breath of fresh air after absolutely obliterating nergigante, vaal hazak, kushala daora and teostra. Silly me thought she was just going to be a reskin with a few attacks changed, but nope! Her fight works in a COMPLETELY different way than teostra's.
