I have enjoyed Starfield quite a bit and currently on my third 100th level player. "Making money" has never been the issue, its always about selling your product / loot / whatever it is. Of course I know you can go sit at a vendor and wait, yes Venus is great, Bessar (upper left system), is great, I just get so frustrated because I literally spend have my playing time selling loot. Even if they have every vendor 20k every 24 hours it would greatly improve the game. Yes, I know being a farmer, pack rat, whatever, is hampering my game play but I like picking stuff up. I hate that I have to literally fly about the galaxy after every three missions just to unload it!
I do a similar thing using rothicite which is nearly worth double of plutonium, it's a unique resource from Carinae III. You can find tons of it in the hills of the moon.
It took me a very long time to build an outpost empire to build Vytinium Fuel Rods. But doing so enabled me to Level Up every 3x per batch of resources. I have to wait a while for them to replenish, so I head to the Den and spend time selling the fuel rods and buying up much needed ammo for my favorite weapon. Each trip to the Den is over 400k of credit in Vytinium Fuel Rods. My next goal is to go back through all my outpost and upgrade them in their tiers in hopes that it will greatly increase production to allow me to level up 6x -7x per manufacturing, and have 100k worth of fuel rods to sell. Right now thanks to the Fuel Rods I made it from level 90 to 137 in a short time.
Tip for finding both in one outpost: land right on the border of two biomes since that's how the ores are placed. I land slightly into one biome and run straight towards the other holding an outpost, usually only takes ~1000m before you find a spot.
Well done. Only problem in Starfield is basically that if you have a lot of valuable inventory, you can't sell it. You could sell maybe 5000-12000 of stuff a day, then you have to sleep for 48 hours and repeat, by which point you have more plutonium.
Great video 👍 actually made me want to build an outpost. Also new homestead is hella underrated, waiting 4 hours for the guys inventory to restock is incredible
Damn good looks bro. First try landing I landed on uranium , plutonium and vandadium (or however it’s spelled sorry) ores and got the super hook up!! Thank you!
I took about 100,000 plutonium to Neon with me and before I sold to each vendor, I would buy up all of the resources that each one of them had and then I would trade the plutonium to get my money back. When it was all said and done I had a huge stockpile of all resources that I took back to Constellation HQ and put them all into the (infinite) storage crate that is in the room with all of the machines. I had plenty to get through all of the Weapon Research to Lvl:4 and ton leftover to mod many weapons in the future. Best thing is that you can place and remove ALL resources with one button and then are free to walk around the room to any machine you like to use. The plutonium is nice to sell for credits but it’s biggest value is in trade. You can take vast amounts of it and make huge trades for stockpiling tons of expensive ammo, resources, space suits and a lot of pricey unique weapons that can only be bought.
What is the constellation HQ, I’ve never heard of this? This sounds very very amazing I’ll need to check credit you for this in my next guide. I have a section at the end called tips where I shout all the people who post comments with gem ideas like this?
Correct! the best locations people like seem to be crater and mountain borders. This combination got me 5 resources: iron, he3, alu, beryll, and europium.
I had a really tough time finding these resources together on Andraphon and I tried for quite a bit of time. I ended up following another guide that took me to Linnaeus IV-b and was able to find a place with 6 resources (Iron, HE3, Aluminum, Beryllium, H2O, and Ytterbium I believe). I don’t know how useful Yb is yet, but I understand Iron, Aluminum and Beryllium are all good to have for crafting. HE3 is good for the inter-system/interplanetary movement of resources. I can’t remember the name of the structure you need to build but I do recall a video stating it would need HE3.
I found that the Core of Neon is the best place to sell, General Store and Mining across the hall. You can sell 16K, then set for 48h and sell 16K again.. before you know it, it’s 32K every like 2 mins. Thanks for the help!!!
The Crimson Fleet spaceport I think named The Key has like 4 merchants next to each other with over 30k in credits. The Den in Wolf system has 16k(11 at merchant and 5 at automated vendor).
So you don’t need any special skills/ research for Plutonium to show up? I’ve found Plutonium and other resource deposits but they don’t show up as Available Resources when placing my outpost beacon right next to them.
You do not. You should see plutonium show up as an available resource it’s not the small rocks but a deposit area. If you watch the guide I show how to do this - I also have a 2nd video with my location called finding plutonium that goes into more detail
You can just move that central outpost thingie if you go into overhead view and go into move mode and select it. You might have to have at least one other item built first, but I've done it a few times now.
I started with plutonium also but it works better with Rothicite or any other rare resource, value of ~110 so they sell for ~13 credits each with no commerce skill. Go to the moon of Carinae III in the top left of the galaxy.
The AMP outpost is godly. I have around 2,000 pounds in my ship worth 300k and I buy mostly ammo and meds, it’s basically just a barter item - selling at each vendor is tedious but buying 70k in ammo which 0 weight is a good use for this. Before my ng+ I had something like 2 million credits worth in ammo
There needs to be a way designate a settlement as your main place and sell shit directly to market from there. Like make it a perk and add recruitable NPCs who can broker shit for you. Make a terminal that is very expensive but can interface with some sort of galactic trade system.
All that and more was introduced and refined in X series, that's why I'm not impressed by Starfield for now. Hope patches and DLCs would bring up the quality to a decent level after all that Hyper and "It just Works!" crap, or at least fix the engine to stop crashing randomly for the majority of the people playing it.

Or a space port that comes with a broker NPC. You can ship the goods off world. The balancing would be that it take a little time to get your money....
@@konnan442 With mass Shipyards/Companies producing the Starships for Factions, there's absolutely no reason they do not have "Infinite" currencies for resources alone. so plutonium is the best resource to farm??? i made a quick outpost early out an have helium because i was thinking it would be ship fuel to help jump to further systems???
So far plutonium is the best I know of. You don’t need fuel in this game for ships it’s kinda weird. You have a cap on how far you can travel based on your tank but it doesn’t deplete
Well I just spent a few hours setting up the 2.0 outpost so now I know what I'm doing tomorrow lol I will also add that you can be very specific when setting up cargo links. You can target just the incoming or outgoing boxes and link them to your storage. That way the feeder outposts aren't taking resources from your main base. You'll obviously also want to check the feeder outposts so that only the outgoing boxes have links
Player PSA: There appears to be a small bug when setting up the resource link landing pads. The pads would not deliver the outgoing resources, best way to fix this is to delete the pad on both ends and replace. (Took me hours to figure this evil thing out.) ((Pass this on))
Save before you do though, deleting link pads, and landing pads can break your outpost (when you try to open a scanner In the outpost the game crashes) also when you place watch towers. I have 8 outposts. 2 of them had to be removed and redone cuz I deleted link pad on one of them and placed 6 watch towers on another one.

on xbox without console commands the thing is all these easy money videos. And I am one that for the grind did the Bessel IIIb. and now the gun case exploit - Without somewhere to liquidate all these excesses without resetting inventory just feels so silly anymore. buy all ammo sell back that amount plus a whole 5k extra. Sleep repeat (fall asleep for real after a few of this).
For individuals facing challenges in locating plutonium, I've created a guide that delves into my own approach with an example. ruclips.net/video/cCO3QF27Tmg/видео.html
I noticed the solar arrays only have 4 power and the extractors require 5 power. How do you power 6 extractors with only 9 solar arrays? Wouldn't you need 12 solar arrays?
Here's an important info for how ressources repartition works : What you need to look at is LANDSCAPE. There's 3 types : - HILLS -VOLCANO -CRATER Each one wil contain a set of ressources no matter where you are. In other words, if Aluminium is specific to HILLS, as long as I land on HILLS, I'll get Alu. WHICH BRINGS ME TO THIS POINT : The moment you find a place where 2 ( or 3 but i only know one on Linneus IV-b) Landscapes connect, you can basicaly both set of ressources. For example getting Iron (hills) and Alu (crater) in the same Outpost👌
Thank you I actually go over this in my next video because someone else pointed this out. I didn’t realize the volcano was another one though, thank you!
heres a quick tip for ya. instead of walking all the way back to the titan shop owner to sell your plutonium. theres a little trade authority kiosk right next to your ship when you get off. i happen to have a mod that makes it so every vendor has x5 the normal credits so this kiosk has 25k credits for me. (normally 5k) and is the perfect spot to sell things quickly
If you're going to mod to change things, then just exploit the money in, no need to go through the motions of pretending to play the game when you're already tweaking things in your favor to sell. Remove the illusion and just spawn in creds or whatever you want--you're already there in your mind, just do it.
@@JM-db8ez why would I do that? I want to play the game and have fun. spawning in credits is not fun and defeats the entire point of earning it. I'm already earning the resources. I just want to be able to sell it. I think it's unrealistic a trading hub doesn't have more than 5000 credits to give for selling. considering a can of soda is 75 credits. We can conclude that 5000 credits in starfield is significantly less than 5000 dollars in USD. 25k credits seems more realistic and balanced. I understand your salty that you can't mod your game because you play on Xbox but don't gate keep for those who can.
@@TheRealCake Yeah, I get it, sometimes rational thought is not welcome. Because modding up vendors certainly isn't cheating, it's just "fixing" things. Right? Not that it matters, play how you want--but getting offended by it being called cheating, and suggesting to just go full bore instead of these weak half-measures, is pretty funny.
@@JM-db8ez I wouldn't consider it cheating. That would imply that I have some kind of unfair advantage. (Unfair to who??) especially if it fixes something wrong with the game. Vendors only having 5000 credits makes no sense at all. For example. A can of soda will cost you 75 credits a can of soda in real life might cost 1-2 dollars. with this analogy in mind. That means 75 credits it equal to about 1.50USD which means 5000 credits in starfield is roughly that of 100 USD by a direct comparison. Why does a trade authority vendor only have 100 dollars on them? They are supposed to be able to buy and sell vast quantities of resources. Again. you can call it cheating. but I'm still doing all the necessary work by farming the resources by hand. I just made it *slightly* more realistic and *slightly* easier to sell my wares. and I didn't even increase it by that much. 500 usd vs 100. if you figure it on the same level as an ATM machine I could see how a small kiosk might only have 5-600 dollars worth of currency at any given time.
The problem is selling it all to a single vendor... because all vendors has very little funds. After a single assassination mission, i have so many weapons and suits to sell that i have to jump to atleast 4 planets.
That’s interesting. I was able to find around 12 sites with plutonium. It can take about 10-14 landings or 2-3 min on average for me. I’m not sure what to say
@@TacticatGaming thanks for the reply. Are you aware of any perks that effect finding rarer resources? Seems plutonium is the rarest resource so maybe certain perks help? Im literally just trying to get enough money to buy a good ship so I can complete main quest lol
@@ChitShatter I only found one spot with plutonium. I had to reposition the ship four or five times only but I did a LOT of running and was quite a distance from the ship each time. The only vein I found was about 1/3 the size shown on this video, @TacticatGaming was either lucky or we are not? Regardless, the system works. Okay, it should work. For some reason my storage units are not linked properly so I only get 125 each time I visit, no matter what. I guess I need to delete the outpost and try again.
The trick is to keep going as fast as possible without scanning skills I just land randomly on average 12 times. Just get out run around with the outpost placer down and look in the top left for it to detect plutonium. I’ve been able to replicate this 4 times prior to making the video. It’s never taken me longer than 3 min but I do it very quickly. I also tested it out again this morning and found 3 more deposits . Id suggest getting your scanning skill up to find it but honestly you should eventually find it. Make sure you are using the outpost placement to detect and looking up to move the outpost placer very far away without having to walk. I can scan a massive area without moving at all that way
And what are you going to do with all those credits just stare at it.. Currency is pretty much redundant in Starfield after a little playtime.. This game will be as dead as Sarah's eyes if they don't do something massive

@@TacticatGaming Thanks man! I combined this with your first base building so I have the plutonium shipped to my main base too. Ive gained like 9 levels overnight lol
Awesome!!@@SDPPPodcast
So where do you sell it??
Neon or Key
Now if only you could find vendor that carries enough credits to buy it off you with out needing to wait 2 days
How do you know if the moon or planet has enough solar power to use solar panels?
It tells you the power per panel when you highlight it in the build menu
What do you use for power
Solar but you need more as it’s 4 energy per on this planet
I see you initially say to just pick a random biome until you find it ..but after further testing have you discovered any biome that guarantees plutonium to spawn? Thanks for all your work
The biome that contains plutonium is unfortunately everywhere I tried digging into this a few days ago and couldn’t find a better method.
on xbox without console commands the thing is all these easy money videos.
Wait where do I sell it in bulk
Great video! Does it matter what vendor you sell the plutonium to?
Not to my knowledge
Lmfao at that mass he's carrying, you know ole boy is wheezing full of CO2 on one step 😆
Aluminium as in -nium like all other elemental matters!
American English spells is differently
A new video? I haven't gotten on yet but I'm gonna do both
For individuals facing challenges in locating plutonium, I've created a guide that delves into my own approach with an example.

Heal!! You’re upsetting us ocd players!!
I noticed the solar arrays only have 4 power and the extractors require 5 power. How do you power 6 extractors with only 9 solar arrays? Wouldn't you need 12 solar arrays?
5energy x 6 extrators= 30, 4power x 9 solar = 36, 36>30. I think you should go to sleep.
@@ravensblade thanks! I figured it out on my own. The wiring was a bit wonky to balance the load, but I got it.
Thanks sir
I love you man but have have landed at 43 different spots and I didn’t not find one vein of plutonium
damn that's nuts, i've tested this a handful of times and always was about to get it by the 15th try max.
they give LESS when you overlap the circles as you did so 6 was a waste
Omg the first plutonim i find its in a restricted area i can only set up one extractor
Keep looking you’ll find a better spot
Doesnt your ship landing zone reduce your outpost size?
I haven’t hit an outpost limit yet and I’ve built some big places
Here's an important info for how ressources repartition works : What you need to look at is LANDSCAPE. There's 3 types :
- HILLS
-VOLCANO
-CRATER
Each one wil contain a set of ressources no matter where you are. In other words, if Aluminium is specific to HILLS, as long as I land on HILLS, I'll get Alu.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO THIS POINT :
The moment you find a place where 2 ( or 3 but i only know one on Linneus IV-b) Landscapes connect, you can basicaly both set of ressources. For example getting Iron (hills) and Alu (crater) in the same Outpost👌
and sry for my english if some words are incorrect, do tell me
Thank you I actually go over this in my next video because someone else pointed this out.
@@JM-db8ezno logic
As with any glitch free money making scheme.. selling is the bottle neck.
Someone make a guide on selling large amounts quickly.
The problem is selling it all to a single vendor... because all vendors has very little funds.
After a single assassination mission, i have so many weapons and suits to sell that i have to jump to atleast 4 planets.
I'm looking into robbing bank ships
Vendor doesn't have silver or tungsten
Sleep to reset, the Titan shop always has these
Thank you and thanks for your guides
Would you suggest I put an outpost on the moon where I'm farming plutonium. Im about to do my first outpost??
I cant find plutonium to save my life, I landed in 30 different areas now 😕
That’s interesting.
I guess I need to delete the outpost and try again.
i cant find the plutonium in the planet. i landed 6 times
I can scan a massive area without moving at all that way
I found it but game crashed lmao@@TacticatGaming
Ouch I have a guide on how I find it - it’s been repeatably easy for me.
Spacebucks💸💸💸
Casually sleeps for almost 1 year
now if only you could sell things at a faster pace than 11k credits at a time. Really starting to hate talking to the Trade Authority NPC's.
I can't find plutonium to save my life
I have a more detailed plutonium finding guide if you go to my page
Where are you going to sell all that stuff? Vendors don't have unlimited money. Or are you going to sleep over and over again by there site?
Neon and vendor resets
if you sleep a total of 11 days on venus you'll have your UC citizenship if you're eligable for the 3 year one lol
Lmao I didn’t think about that
I tried this and only got 400...
400 what?
@@TacticatGaming plutonium. I figured out what the issue was though!
Awesome!
And what are you going to do with all those credits just stare at it..
Currency is pretty much redundant in Starfield after a little playtime..
This game will be as dead as Sarah's eyes if they don't do something massive
You buy ammo
lol plutonium do NOT exist on nature :D its an artificial man made element :D wtf basheda
level 112,ng10, xbox......
depression.
Where do you sell at?
Neon
