It would be great to know when to perform these exercises
How long after injury and which type of injury:
    Full tear, partial tear, etc.
Also what kind of max pain level should be trained at. maybe on a scale from 1 to 10.

So I sprained my ucl back on June 24 and I rested it for 2 weeks like my doctor said then I got right back into football. And it never really healed right like the doctor said it should. I still can’t throw a ball really even about 50% of what I used to without my ucl extremely hurting. Is that’s normal? I have my first physical therapy appointment next week but I feel like I waited too long.

i rested my ucl for 3 weeks and i went back to throwing. never really healed and can’t throw more than 5 passes at full strength without it hurting. even when i warm my arm up it still hurts. i feel like i need to think about changing my position. i hope yours heals 🙏🏼

Thanks for your videos, really helping me.
I had a LUCL repair 10 weeks ago.
I still have some medium ok-ish pain doing excercise and more pain the day after.
Also steering 1 handed parking the car rearwards in a parking lot really hurts.
It‘s not the lucl area, more the whole joint is hurting. Also pushing up from the chair when seated hurts.
Is this „normal“ based on your experience at 10 weeks post surgery?

would you recommend this for someone who has UCL issues from getting arm barred (elbow hyperextension) in jiu-jitsu?

@@joshharkness8159 honestly time did the most. It used to hurt to do things like turn the steering wheel of my car or reach back for my seatbelt but it is pretty much 99% now. I still feel it a bit on really cold days.
Went to a PT and here is what they gave me-
-apply cross friction to it throughout the day (just rubbing side to side, not vertical down length of arm, in between the two bones on inside of elbow back and forth stimulates ligament repair, it should be a bit uncomfortable but avoid acute pain)
-loading it within comfort levels by doing things like farmers carries
-strengthening around it (arm day basically bicep and tricep). started with eccentric curls just doing the negatives on the hurt arm.
-lacrosse ball the tricep seems to help sometimes.
Obviously I'm just a dude on the internet and not a professional. I only had a lack of mobility the first few days after injury then pain on inside of elbow mainly when I bent the arm back like loading up to throw a baseball (or put on a seatbelt or get put in an americana), so i'm not sure if my issues and yours are the same. Stayed off the mats for couple months to avoid reinjury sadly. I still tap fast if anyone even gets close to a sub on that left arm.
      Good luck!

    Still same issues :(
Is this normal? Maybe the ellbow is inflamed?
    Thanks for any help

It maybe, rest can help but you may need to get checked out by an orthopedic surgeon

@@OverheadAthletics thanks for your reply. I just got it checked today and most probably a tennis elbow from the immobilization after surgery :(
Will take some time again 😑

      For the records:
It turned out the ucl repair did not work because the smaller bone anchor got loose. So no wonder I still felt pain after several weeks and month.
Now I already had my revision surgery by another surgeon with tommy jhon procedure (ligament from the knee) and so far after one week already mich better then after several weeks after the failed repair.
