    Turn the hoodie upside down so the hood is hanging off. That's how I've been doing it and even though it's a bit awkward lining up your design upside down, I'm not having to deal with all that extra fabric in the machine. I totally agree that they should do a redesign.

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  Год назад

      Turning upside down then gets the extra material from the bottom to the back haha I tried that once. I guess if you pull it more off the edge it would help, but going into XL or XXL hoodies it might be more troublesome. I stick to my big press for hoodies though for the most part

      So happy it works for you! While this press has some drawbacks, I think its a great press regardless. Especially for cases like this. My wife can't really lock down and unlock a big press so this one works perfect for her whenever she wants to get crafty. I use mine all the time for quick jobs. Especially when I don't want to wait for the big press to heat up (over 30 or 40 minutes depending on the temp!)

    Thank you for your honest review. I am looking into buying this heat press, but I want to make sure that it's right for me. I also like the heavy pressure, but nothing heavy. I like this heat press, because of the auto function. However, I honestly think that it's too low. I have a swing away press and I want something that I don't have to keep pushing down, so that's why I am looking into this.

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  Год назад +1

      It's tough finding the right one. This one is great because it's size and weight are perfect to move around. I do agree that it's too low and makes a few things harder than they should. But I havent seen any other press that has the same functions that opens higher except for the Hotronix Air Fusion. That press is a dream! lol this is it.

I'm new to this type of thing and I'm trying to apply "Siser EasyWeed Adhesive" as a first step to later adhering foil to a jean jacket and on the first try it didn't stick. I used the manufacturer's specs, 300 degrees for 5 seconds, but it didn't work. Can you tell me if I would have to change some of the settings? Temperature, time or pressure? I don't know if the pressure can be regulated in this type of heat press

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  Год назад

      Thank you so much! Unfortunately with this press you can't adjust the pressure. But for easy weed, I usually do 300 for 15 seconds. If I decide to do vinyl with this press I add a bit of pressure. While you can't adjust it on the machine itself, there are some hacks you can easily implement to increase a bit of pressure. • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  Год назад

      Most likely a pressure issue. Have you tried double pressing it? Try that and then peel from the corner of the design. Otherwise if you have something that can raise the bottom pillow a bit that would help with increasing pressure. Maybe like another Heatpress pad or some thick material to place under like a few layers of cardboard. Unfortunately not all screen print transfers press the same so it could also just be that particular transfer requires more pressure

    The problem I’m having with all these “reviews”, is they are almost carbon copies of each other. The time it took to get up to heat is way longer on yours than every other one I’ve seen. Almost twice the time. There are always a work around for the pressure. I have a 15x15 clamshell that takes forever to come up to temp. And I cannot use it in my craft room. I’ve thought about selling it but if I decide to keep it, I can use it for the things the HTVRONT can’t handle, my clamshell is fairly new and even tho it’s in the garage, it’s out of the way. Just my 2cents worth.

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  Год назад

      To be honest I haven't really watched many other reviews myself 😅 I started it up from full cold so maybe that had something to do with it? Either way it's still pretty quick I think. My clamshell takes about 30 or 40 minutes to heat up to 400 lol that can get annoying. And I do agree, you can add another layer below the pressing pillow and it helps pressure, or use a pressing pillow. In my opinion, its about what's finding what works for you! I find this press handy and still use it for quick projects. It's all personal preference 😊
